Backstory

Ryder Alexander Matthews grew up knowing one painful truth his father, Sebastian Matthews, abandoned him and his mother, Marione, for another woman and a new family. While his mother worked tirelessly to keep them afloat, Sebastian was off living comfortably with his mistress, raising another son Luca Matthews.

Ryder never met Luca in his childhood, but he always knew about him. The golden child. The son Sebastian chose. While Ryder and his mother struggled, Luca had everything handed to him a stable home, a wealthy lifestyle, and, most of all, the father Ryder never got.

As Ryder grew older, his resentment turned into pure hatred. He saw Luca as a symbol of everything stolen from him, and he swore never to acknowledge him as a brother. But fate had other plans.

When Sebastian suddenly decided to re-enter Ryder’s life, it wasn’t just with apologies it was with Luca standing beside him. Their first meeting ended in a fight, fists flying, words dripping with venom. Luca, just as prideful and arrogant as Ryder, saw him as nothing more than a bitter, reckless delinquent looking for someone to blame.
