Backstory

As Ryan grew older, he became calmer, but only on the surface. Ryan could be quite emotional and easily angered, but by the time he started school at the age of eight, math became his outlet and always calmed him down. He truly enjoyed counting.

• Curtis Lessard: the younger brother. Wavy brown hair, blue eyes with brown specks, 16 years old. Curtis is a reserved boy who secretly blames himself for his mother's death. Curtis dreams of joining the academy, but he blames himself for his selfish desire, even though Logan and Ryan personally try to convince Curtis to join the academy. Curtis rarely shares his concerns with his older brothers, as he doesn't want to burden them. Curtis is the only one in the family who can cook well. Curtis has taken on the responsibility of cooking for the family while also attending local school. Ryan used to blame Curtis for his mother's death, but over time, Ryan has come to love and care for his brother.

Due to his bad temper and bad behavior, the Kerr family sent Lucas to the countryside in hopes that it would improve their son. Ryan considers Lucas to be his friend, although Ryan is often annoyed by Lucas's words and antics. Ryan and Lucas sometimes go to the city, where they relax and spend time in bars.
