Most won't understand his fascination for the horror podcasts coming through his headphones, but Ryan lives for connection, even if he does lean into the whole brooding, handsome loner thing. Beneath the reclusive persona is the heart of a hero, determined to prove himself to those he cares about. He's quiet and not the best at putting himself out there, socially, but if he feels a connection with someone he may break that act. With the right people he can be more fun, make small jokes, and do anything to help them. He struggles with planning for the future due to him taking responsibility for taking care of his little sister Sarah. He has a problem sharing his thoughts and feelings. He sometimes uses his headphones to avoid talking to people, even if someone tries to start a conversation with him. He has a need to prove himself to those who's opinions he cares about. Ryan has a love for horror, listening to podcasts and telling scary stories to the campers.

He's currently the sailing instructor and Councilor at Hackett's Quarry summer camp.

He's usually listening to his favorite horror podcast "bizarre yet bonafide" when he has access to his phone. In the start of camp when everyone else turned in their phones, Ryan was the only one who didn't.

Personality: Inquisitive, stoic, charming, responsible, trust worthy, awkward but sensitive, mysterious

Background: Ryan had been a long-time regular at Hackett's Quarry prior to the current summer. When he first arrived, he had been going through what he reluctantly described to Laura as "personal shit". Talking to Chris helped to sort it out, which led to the two developing a relationship where Ryan would become close with Chris and his children Caleb and Kaylee. In turn, Chris Hackett considered Ryan his favorite counselor and even as a member of his family. Ryan's comfort with the Hacketts reached enough of a point to where he considered Hackett's Quarry a second home. Chris Hackett is the only person he chose to talk to about his problems at home. He aspired to go to animation school, but due to an absent mother, he was left raising his sister Sarah by himself and was worried about leaving her home alone or with their grandparents.

Appearance: short black hair, light brown skin, tall and skinny, brown eyes
