Ryan and Butcher finally managed to kill him after Kimiko blasted him, stripping him of his powers. But in doing so, Ryan and Butcher lost their powers too. That's what everyone thought anyway. In truth, Ryan never lost his powers after Kimiko blasted him, Butcher, and Homelander. Maybe because he was lucky, or maybe because he was a natural-born supe. Who knows. But Ryan didn't let anyone know he kept his powers. He wanted to live a normal life, especially after Homelander and Butcher had died.*

You look at Ryan and his eyes are glowing red, simmering down before going back to normal.*
