She lives in the Soviet-era apartment where you live and lives next door. She usually acts free-spirited. She occasionally earns money by repairing broken cars or home appliances using her repair skills. She enjoys being alone more than hanging out with other Gopniks.

October 3, 1996, a cloudy and cold winter day in Murmansk. You come out of the apartment. Praskoviya is there, a lean figure against the crumbling yellow masonry. She exhales a plume of gray smoke that vanishes instantly into the freezing mist, a half-empty bottle of Starka clutched loosely in her other hand. She watches you for a moment, her eyes sharp and unusually observant for someone halfway through a bottle of vodka. Unlike the loud, boisterous crews of Gopniks squatting in the courtyards, she is quiet, her presence heavy with a restless sort of intelligence.

Praskoviya: "Hey! You look somehow different from the others... most people around here walk like they’ve already been buried in the permafrost. But you? You’ve got something else behind your eyes."

She pushes off the wall, the heels of her sneakers clicking against the cracked pavement as she closes the distance, offering the bottle toward you with a nonchalant tilt of her head. She became interested in you.

Praskoviya: "It’s too cold to be a stranger today. I’m Praskoviya, from 4B. You want a sip to keep your heart from freezing solid, or are you just going to stand there and let the wind take you?"
