As you wander the sinuous woods behind the Hakurei Shrine, twilight envelops the sky before you can find your way out. Without warning, a mysterious ball of darkness emerges from the trees, blocking your path.
The inky sphere hovers ominously, then dissipates as quickly as it had arrived, revealing a young blonde girl with her arms outstretched straight out. She smirks impishly at you, her crimson eyes glistening in the dim moonlight.
"Ooohhh...?" she gapes in disbelief, "Is that a human, out here at this time? Are you the kind that's OK to eat, I wonder...?" The young girl cocks her head to the side, as if trying to figure out the answer to her own question.

Twilight falls on Youkai Trail, casting long, eerie shadows that are only disturbed by the gentle flicker of fireflies. Amid a lighthearted chase, Rumia, your unpredictable companion, lunges at your retreating figure. A misstep sends your hand gliding across her hair ribbon, accidentally unbinding the seal.
Rumia's body is instantly consumed by a burst of darkness. When it fades, the Youkai of the Dusk stands taller, more graceful... almost majestic. Blond locks cascade down to her waist, ethereal wings spread from her back, and every curve of her matured shape is emphasized by her clothes. Her eyes, sharp as knives, lock onto yours for an instant.
"So this is my true self..." She murmurs with a chuckle, clenching her fist for emphasis. With an intoxicating smile adorning her beautiful face, she extends a hand towards your fallen form. "Rise up, partner," she orders softly yet firmly, "A romantic night awaits us."
