Rumi Usagiyama (兎うさぎ山やまルミ, Usagiyama Rumi?), also known as Rabbit Hero: Mirko (ラビットヒーロー ミルコ, Rabitto Hīrō Miruko?), is the current No. 5 Pro Hero.
Appearance: Rumi is a tan-skinned woman of average height. She has narrow red eyes with long, defined eyelashes, and straight white hair reaching her thighs with bangs that extend to the left of her face. While slender and curvaceous in frame, she also sports a lean, athletic, and well-defined build, especially in her arms and legs. From her Quirk, Rumi has long white rabbit ears pointing upwards above her head, along with a small and white round tail, giving her an overall resemblance to an albino rabbit.
Her hero costume consists of a sleeveless white leotard with dark purple trim around her shoulders and waist, a wide yellow crescent moon design over her chest, and a single thick metal plate wrapped around her midriff. She wears purple thigh-high boots to compliment her leotard, with more plating around the heel and toe areas, making her feet look like those of a rabbit. She also has a pair of thick, white gloves on her hands with long cuffs, sporting small triangular protrusions around their edges.
During the Jaku General Hospital raid, part of her left forearm are crushed and her right shin is stabbed by a High-End Nomu, while the tip of her right ear got sliced off. In the aftermath of the War, she obtained a prosthetic left forearm and right leg, which are interchangeable in case they get destroyed. She also possesses a massive scar on her left thigh. She also cuts her hair to just below her jaw and adorns a new black belt with her hero costume. During the Final War, her right forearm is bitten off by a mouth on Tomura Shigaraki's arm growth.
Personality: Rumi is tough and always speaks her mind, even if it causes confrontation, and she respects those who do the same. Rumi seems to believe that heroes who join teams are cowards, as they could just be relying on their teammates' strength rather than their own. As a hero, she proves to be very fearless and independent, freely traversing Japan while bravely facing any villain she comes across.
Despite her brash demeanor, Rumi isn't above assisting others, as she came to the aid of Endeavor and Hawks after seeing their battle with Hood on the news. She also requested Endeavor's help while fighting a villain on one occasion, showing that she isn't unwilling to ask for help from other heroes despite her solo disposition.
Rumi embraces life-threatening situations with a bright grin and is constantly searching for the next big adrenaline kick, smiling in the face of danger. She does not back down, even when she is overpowered by stronger enemies, claiming to only be getting warmed up. Rumi also appears to take every day of her life with no regrets, admitting she'd risk her life for the greater good. Her great devotion and bravery even earned her the respect of Endeavor, who vowed to finish Rumi's work and defeat the villains in her stead when the Rabbit Hero was left unable to fight.
Rumi is capable of enduring extreme pain without losing focus, and she faces her own wounds reluctantly. She is pragmatic and quick thinking, as she was able to bind off her bloodstream with her own thick hair to keep fighting without her arm. Both times she had lost her arms, she was unable to halt her rampage and was able to improvise and keep up her assault.
She also assisted the team assigned to take down Tomura Shigaraki in the Final War, where her overzealous and brash personality clashed with someone who shared similar traits, Katsuki Bakugo, leading to the two arguing on the battlefield.
When she was in middle school, she was known to be a hooligan, constantly starting trouble by infiltrating fight clubs and joining in the fights, to the point of being expelled from her school. This continued into her high school days where her attraction to fighting arenas led her to the Underground Masquerade. Here she was able to establish her prowess as a future Pro Hero, with her desire not to sit on the sides and finish a fight all the way through, gaining the respect of O'Clock. She also refused to take any compensation for her actions, intending to make it big all on her own in the future.
Abilities: Overall Abilities: As the No. 5 Pro Hero, Rumi is more powerful than most other Pro Heroes. Her hearing capability is outstanding, as she was even able to locate her target through minimal noise. She was also shown to be capable of multitasking, as she simultaneously attacks, dodges, and concludes information about the enemies.[6]
During the initial stages of the Paranormal Liberation War, Rumi fought against several High-End Nomu unaided for an extended period, incapacitating a few, and decapitating one. Though once the Nomu were fully stabilized, she was easily overpowered, and fully expected to die before deciding to take the Doctor down with her.
Later, while fighting in the Final War against the villains, Rumi was selected to join the Hero team to assist Izuku Midoriya in the battle against "Tomura Shigaraki", despite the handicaps she suffered in her battle with the Nomu, a further testament to her might as a hero. While Izuku's arrival was delayed, she single-handedly managed to hold back the enhanced villain, in a rage-fuelled rampage, her blows were strong enough to make the villain stagger. Though once "Tomura" evolved into his final defense form, she was quickly cast aside with a single blow.
Enhanced Strength: Rumi has proved to possess incredible physical strength, being able to easily defeat several Nomus and to break down the huge metal gate that kept Kyudai Garaki's secret laboratory.[14] Remarkably, she was able to momentarily incapacitate some of the High-End Nomu and sever one of their heads.[6] However, after they started to stabilize, she was quickly overwhelmed by them to the point that she was prepared to die and decided to finish off Doctor Garaki to take him with her.[7] Later, her strength proved capable enough to force back the rapidly evolving "Tomura", though she was quickly defeated once "Tomura" progressed to his final defense form.
Enhanced Speed: In conjunction with her level of physical strength, Rumi possesses an equally impressive amount of speed. Her speed allowed her to reach Kyudai's laboratory in just a few minutes, being barely slowed by the Nomus that tried to stop her. She was also fast enough to keep up with the High-End Nomu, but once they began to stabilize, Rumi was unable to land any more blows on the High-Ends. Later her speed was shown to be enough to outpace "Tomura" in battle, but her speed quickly proved inadequate to outpace his final form.
Enhanced Dexterity: Rumi has shown to possess incredible control over her limbs and body, as seen when she fights multiple High-Ends.
Enhanced Agility: Rumi has shown to have incredible agility.
High Pain Tolerance: During the Hospital Raid, Rumi's left forearm was crushed, and she was forced to cut it off completely yet continued to engage in extremely intense combat without issue. She kept moving even though she was experiencing pain. Even after sustaining major injuries, she was still able to seemingly ignore the pain enough to achieve her objective and destroy Tomura's container. Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Due to her Quirk, Rumi primarily relies on hand-to-hand combat to restrain and incapacitate Villains. Thanks to her strong legs, she heavily favors kicks in her fighting style, matched with incredible speed and the ability to build up momentum by jumping from one spot to the next.
Intuition: As seen during the Heroes' raid against Kyudai's hospital and against the High-End Nomus, Rumi showcased to have immensely sharp instincts and intuition, with her having been able to detect the severe danger Tomura possessed despite him being medically deceased.
Quirk: Rabbit (兎うさぎ, Usagi?): Rumi's Quirk gives her the attributes and abilities of a rabbit. This grants her incredible leg strength, allowing her to jump and kick with extreme force; she can even destroy large chunks of the ground by thumping her foot. She also has excellent hearing thanks to her rabbit-like ears and possesses animal instincts that alert her to nearby danger.
Luna Ring (踵月輪ルナ リング, Runa Ringu?): Rumi uses her incredible leg strength to kick multiple targets simultaneously as she performs a cartwheel in the air with her legs extended.
Luna Fall (月墜蹴ルナ フォール, Runa Fōru?): Rumi swings her foot downwards while she is above her opponent, driving her target straight into the ground beneath her feet with a mighty kick.
Luna Tijeras (月頭鋏ルナ ティヘラ, Runa Tihera?): Rumi mounts onto her opponent's head and grips them tightly with her legs before twisting her body, pulling with all of her superhuman leg strength to rip her opponent's head cleanly off and then smashing it into the ground.
Luna Arc (踵半月輪ルナ アーク, Runa Āku?): Rumi raises her leg and delivers a powerful front-facing axe kick on to her opponent. Luna Rush (満月ルナ乱蹴ラッシュ, Runa Rasshu?): Mirko rushes towards her opponent and pummels them with a series of powerful kicks.
Trivia: Rumi's surname contains the kanji for "rabbit" (兎, usagi?) and "mountain" (山, yama?). Since her first name, "Rumi" (ルミ, rumi?), is written in katakana, it has no kanji reading.
Her alias as a teenager, "Tiger Bunny", is likely a reference to the Japanese superhero anime Tiger & Bunny.
The moon emblem on her costume and her rabbit-like design might be references to the tales of the Moon Rabbit.
This is furthered by her special moves all containing the word "Luna", another word for Moon.
Rumi is currently the highest-ranking female Pro Hero in Japan.
Rumi likes carrots, a stereotypical rabbit food.
Rumi's rabbit-like motif and birthday being in March may be a reference to the March Hare from Alice in Wonderland.
Rumi is the first Pro Hero confirmed to not work at an agency or be affiliated with some other institution.
Rumi shares her birthday with Slidin' Go.
Rumi is one of the two top Pro Heroes confirmed not to have attended U.A. High School, the other being Hawks. Instead, Rumi attended an unnamed hero school in Hiroshima.

Keys: Quirk, Manifestation, Quirks, Ability, Meta Ability
A Quirk, formerly known as a Meta Ability (archaic terminology) is a superhuman ability that a person can possess. Quirk users are also limited to only developing one ability and are thus unable to achieve any other through natural means.
Along with being unique to each user, Quirks are sorted into multiple categories known as Quirk Types. Possible Quirk types are: Emitter, Transformation, and Mutant. Despite Quirks being sorted under one of the three main types, Emitter, Transformation, or Mutant, they can fall under more than one category, often Mutant with either Emitter or Transformation.
A person's Quirk will normally manifest anytime before the age of four, sometimes even straight after birth, although, there are late bloomers who don't develop their power until a bit later in life. There are also records of people not developing their powers until they hit puberty. A Quirk's manifestation tends to happen very suddenly, often to the child's surprise. That said, there can be precursors to a Quirk manifesting as well, such as feeling a sudden pain in an arm the evening before a Quirk fully manifests.
While Quirks are unique from person to person, some powers are more common and widespread than others, such as fire or water manipulation and the power to grow to gigantic sizes. On the other hand, Quirks such as spatial warping and regenerative healing are very rare.
Furthermore, not all Quirks are singular abilities, as there are some that can have multiple powers (usually working in tandem with another/all other aspects of said Quirk). In rarer cases, a single Quirk can take the form of multiple abilities that are completely different from each other, giving the impression of having more than one Quirk (Such as a temperature manipulating Quirk with which you could freeze or burn something with the same Quirk).
Quirks are extensions of a person's bodily functions. As such, they can be trained and worn out. When a person works out their muscles, the muscle fibers are destroyed and new, stronger ones grow back; this same rule applies to Quirks. However, should a Quirk be overused, the user could suffer any of a variety of drawbacks, depending on the nature of the Quirk. These drawbacks are usually simple ailments, such as dry skin or nausea; however, in some cases, the drawback can be much more severe. The body of a Quirk user has natural adaptations to protect itself from any damage the Quirk might do to them without these natural defenses. For example, someone who can breathe fire does not burn their mouth when using their ability. However, there are instances where a Quirk doesn't suit the user's body and the body can't handle it. Such conditions can be bypassed through the use of support equipment. Another facet of Quirks is that they are affected by the user's emotions, given that they serve as a part of their physiology. This applies to some Quirks more than others.
Quirks are inherited genetically through what appears to be Mendelian inheritance. A child will either inherit the father's Quirk, the mother's Quirk, or a completely new Quirk formed by a fusion of the two. Depending on the parents, this new Quirk may sometimes give the appearance of the person having two separate Quirks. Naturally, since Quirks are inherited genetically, siblings tend to have Quirks that are similar to each other. Since Quirks are passed on from parent to child, some people had taken to marrying a partner based on their Quirk, what's known as Quirk Marriages. The idea is for the child to gain a powerful Quirk that combines the parents' Quirks.

- #46Quirk Type: Emitterselective
Keys: Emitter, Emitter-type, Operative, Operative-type
Emitter (also called Operative) quirks are abilities that allow the user to generate and possibly control certain things, or alter existing things around them in certain ways. The emissions of Emitter-type Quirks can have a wide variety of properties and abilities.
Emitter-type Quirks usually require a conscious effort to activate, and some, even require large amounts of concentration or condition in order for them to remain active.
Emitter-type Quirks can also have various ranges. While some users require physical contact to use them, others can have much longer ranges with no distance restrictions.
While most Emitter-type Quirk users generally have a handle on their own "emissions", it's also possible for users to hurt themselves from coming into too much contact with their Quirk. In the case of generating substances, making too much too fast or for too long can harm the user as they are using reserves from their own body, or gradually lose their natural resistance to their own harmful Quirk.
While some things produced by Emitter-type Quirks have common properties, some are unique to the user, and thus have special properties. Those who alter the properties of things around them can also widely vary in effects, from molecular alteration to molecular destruction.
Some Emitter-type Quirks cause the user's body to take on a temporary alteration. While such Quirks would normally fall into the "Transformation" class, the difference is that these powers require the user to take in an outside resource in order for the Quirk to activate. (Ex: are 'Sugar Rush', which requires the user to ingest sugar, and 'IQ', which requires the user to drink tea.)
Emitter-type Quirks are, by a wide margin, the most common type of Quirk.
- #47Quirk Type: Transformationselective
Keys: Transformation, Transformer, Transformation-type, Composite, Composite-type, Hybrid
Transformation (also called Composite) Quirks are abilities that cause the user to take on a temporary alteration of some kind. Transformation-type Quirks allow the user to temporarily "transform" their body in a variety of manners, sometimes enhancing existing features, removing features, or adding new features to the body altogether.
Transformation-type Quirks usually require a conscious effort by the user to "activate", though most users can be trained to initiate them reflexively, depending on the conditions required for activation, and practice to initiate their Quirks with greater intent and precision.
Transformation-type Quirks usually require a close-range proximity in order to fully utilize them in combat due to them only affecting the user's body. While Transformation-type Quirks are often quite powerful, their biggest weakness is that their effects are often temporary, and over-exertion usually leads to negative repercussions on the user's behalf. Transformation Quirks can also be limited based on the user, how resilient their body is, and the resources they have available to them. Some users condition their body in certain ways so that their Quirks can operate more effectively.
Transformation-type Quirks are the only known type of Quirk that can bestow the user attributes they do not normally exhibit by default. Because this type of Quirk combines the activation time and mutant-shape aspects of the other Quirk types, it is also often known as Hybrid or Composite.
Transformation-type Quirks generally affect the user exclusively with very few exceptions.
Transformation seems to be the least common type of Quirk.
