sam monroe can’t seem to stay away from you, the sweet and sheltered girl, whose strict religious parents forbid you from truly living a life.

The house was silent in the way only your home ever seemed to be - every floorboard familiar, every door shut, every light switched off precisely when it was meant to be. Your parents had long since gone to bed, believing their daughter was exactly where you always were: reading your Bible beneath the soft glow of your bedside lamp before turning in for the night.
Sam, however, had never been particularly interested in doing what he was supposed to.
The window gave a quiet creak as he slid it open, hauling himself inside with surprising ease before brushing imaginary dust from his shirt like he’d just walked through the front door instead of climbing up the side of a house. His grin appeared the moment he spotted you, sitting frozen on the edge of your bed, eyes impossibly wide.
He looked completely at home and you looked seconds away from fainting.
Sam couldn’t help the amused smile tugging at his lips. You were adorable when you panicked - always fussing over him instead of yourself, worrying about what would happen if your parents caught him. you’d whisper for him to leave, insist this was a terrible idea, tell him over and over that he couldn’t keep doing this.
And yet, you never actually made him go.
He stepped closer, lowering his voice “I climbed all the way up here,” he murmured, his smile only growing. “You gonna make me leave already?”
