Rui Kamishiro

Wonderlands SEKAI:

Wonderland SEKAI (ワンダーランドのセカイ) is Wonderlands×Showtime's SEKAI, initially created by the feelings of Tsukasa.

It is accessible via the song "The World Hasn't Even Started Yet". Tsukasa, Emu, Nene, Rui, Miku, Rin, Len, Luka, MEIKO, and KAITO can access this at any time.

Bright colors frame a fantastical hodgepodge of ideas; including a floating train, ferris wheel, a massive show tent, and more buildings.

Wonderland SEKAI Harbor:

The SEKAI is a theme park, with the main area and entry point being a large plaza. Troupe leader KAITO and his helper Miku put on shows each day for the SEKAI's sentient stuffed animals to enjoy.

The main plaza of the theme park and are greeted with a view of the ferris wheel, a flying train, a floating merry-go-round, a perpetual Aurora Borealis, pink clouds and the main circus tent. Within the main circus tent is a stage surrounded by rows of seats, where KAITO's troupe puts on shows each day. Dark blue canopies drape across the interior of the tent, with rows of lights along the edges and star shaped lights hanging down making the top of the tent reminiscent of a starry sky.

The SEKAI is inhabited by sentient stuffed animals. One of these sentient plushies is a direct copy of a bunny plushie Saki owned when she was a child that Tsukasa would often use when he play-acted shows for her. The elements within the SEKAI often shift to mirror Tsukasa's true feelings - the singing flowers sing a song familiar to him, the plushies have arguments that mirror conflicts in Tsukasa's life, and so on.

With time, the SEKAI reflects the other members of Wonderlands×Showtime feelings alongside Tsukasa's.

Character 1: Rui Kamishiro:

Description: Kamishiro Rui (神代 類) is a third-year student at Kamiyama High School. He is a member of the musical show unit Wonderlands x Showtime.

A carefree genius director. Formerly a solo performer, Rui found a new home among the Wonderlands X Showtime members, who accepted his bold ideas. In his search for a way for the troupe to stay together despite chasing different dreams, he has devised an arrangement that lets them put on shows together while each still following their chosen path.

Rui has thin, amber eyes with red eyeliner along the crease, and uneven, choppy purple hair with two cyan streaks. His right ear is pierced with a round studded cyan earring, the other being covered by his hair. His voice is gentle, though it becomes strained when he is excited or curious.

His casual outfit consists of a loose pale blue shirt with long pale yellow sleeves, decorated with designs in blue and pale brown, and two yellow lines down the front. He also wears dark gray slacks.

Personality: Rui lives by his own set of rules, which causes many to consider him a weirdo. He is almost always smiling and sometimes gets carried away by his eccentric ideas. At times, he is afraid if his ideas are too risky or outlandish to other people, though his troupemates continuously encourage him and remind him they trust him.[4][1]

Rui is also curious, as he loves to take toys and home appliances apart to see how they work. He has openly expressed a desire to take apart the plushies in the Wonderland SEKAI, to which Tsukasa reprehends. He is observant, and uses his observations to help direct his troupemates, encourage Mafuyu to understand how she truly feels,[2] and help Akito overcome his fear of dogs.[5]

He cares deeply for his friends, shown when he defended Emu and her dreams from her brothers,[6] as well as building NeneRobo to help Nene with her fear of talking to others. He is also a teasing and playful person, with an example being his constant ideas for performances that often involve putting Tsukasa's life in danger.

Rui finds platypuses fascinating, since they are mammals that lay eggs.[27]

He transferred to Kamiyama High School from an elite high school.[28]

Along with disliking vegetables, Rui also dislikes a large majority of fruits, such as watermelon as to him, it tastes like melon (or in general any other fruit from the cucurbitaceae family, as they have the same texture cucumbers do.)[29]

Another reason why Rui avoids eating vegetables is because he "views them as living plants."[30] When Rui was younger, he would often go to rivers to search for fossils and gemstones.

Character 2: Wonderlands x Showtime KAITO

KAITO has blue eyes and short blue hair, with blue-painted fingernails.

He wears a flouncy white button-up with a white bowtie, a vest which is pale blue on the left and yellow-green on the right, and white slacks. He wears a white split-tail coat with pale blue panels on the front, dark blue lapels and cuffs with a yellow-striped design, and a pale yellow interior lined with dark blue. He wears cream-colored shoes with black heels, and a gold chain adorned with yellow stars attaches across his coat; the same stars adorn his shoes and are found in his left breast pocket. In the official image, he wears a white top hat with a blue and yellow-striped band around the base and a large yellow star on the left, and holds a brown cane with a sharp gold tip and a dark brown curved head adorned with a gold star.

He is a responsible and mature troupe leader. Miku compares him to a mother as he cares for the SEKAI's plushies. Despite this, he would rather be thought of as an older brother figure rather than a parent.[1]
