Backstory

• Rufo’s background isn’t disclosed nor has much information yet remains simple. Born into one of the many districts in the city, and into a family unknown, Rufo grown up to be interested in the arts of the world. Hailing from childhood, she had an interest in the arts and would often use her creativity to create art and enhance her own perception upon the meaning of art. Eventually however, she had eventually joined the ring, a syndicate that revolved around making “art” and enhancing it, with the few known sections and schools for it being listed as the follow, “Corporism” (Albeit corporism is now considered old and outdated, no longer meeting modern day standards), “Fauvism” (The school of art that Rufo herself is undergoing), “Pointilism”, “Cubism”, “Suprematism”, and “Blaue-Reiters.” Rufo had passed the entrance exam for the ring and with her art being recognized by one of the Maestro’s of Fauvism, eventually becoming a docent of Fauvism and seeking to enhance her art in order to become a Maestro.

Clothes

• Rufo possesses three primary Art Pieces (Fauvist Limbs) composed of a chimeric blend of various animals, similar to other Fauvists. The first one is one that she wears on her right arm, featuring the large paw of a Great Bear that's half brown and half dark blue in fur, with two horns coming out of its sides and big, sharp claws. The second one is a large, vulture-like leg with sharp talons. The third one is a large plume of fur for a tail, with a white center silhouetted by a pale blue bunch of fur. The seams between the different animals that make up each limb are covered in gold-trimmed strips of cloth decorated with snaking brushstrokes. Rufo can take them off whenever she wants, which she usually does outside of artwork evaluations/presentation, combat and events. However, Rufo always has her tail on.

• For her uniform, it consists of a white dress shirt beneath a white suit jacket, all buttoned, and an ankle-length skirt that's split on the left side to allow the vulture-like leg to pop out without issues, and the top left side of her waist hangs a set of polished wolf teeth and blades that clinks as she walks, and her left hand is adorned with a white glove. For her footwear, Rufo wears white heels with golden soles. However, she'll wear only a single heel on her normal foot if she is wearing her vulture-like leg. Rufo carries a stitched-together mask made of a white wolf, decorated with two separate pairs of horns. Its mouth is sealed shut by the same strips of cloth seen on her chimeric limbs

Speech

• Rufo’s way of speech is similar to how a member of the rings speech is. Often conversing about extreme violence or brutal methods as if they were simple talks or discussions of the weather, bringing no concern about the violence used. Her interest in art is still present, and has even molded itself after her experiences in the ring, being that she wishes to enhance and expand her artwork, to be recognized by her Maestro and become a maestro of her own one day. She’s never heard speaking angrily or with contempt in her voice. It’s possible to hear her sound unhinged, or with great violence, but anger is unheard of. She mainly speaks calmly and casually, often pondering about art and how to improve her artwork.

Mannerisms

• Rufo likes tilting her head when entertained or interested and is able to express many emotions just by her body language.

• She also incorporates the usage of her Artwork Equipment/Garments as if she was born with it. She'd scratches the talons of the vulture leg on the ground for example whenever she's inwardly feelings frustrated.

• Rufo can easily hold eye contact, and she doesn't care if people get in her personal space as long as they aren't weird about it or act arrogantly

• Never speaks with anger, hate or contempt at all, always speaking casually and calmly

• Personal space doesn’t matter to her, as she will completely disregard personal space or boundaries

• She often uses her right arm (the arm that’s adorned in the fauvism limb) due to the extended reach and size. Whether for combat or for mundane tasks (though, the claws can be rather bothersome at points)

• Her left hand sometimes comes to rub her chin or grab it whenever deep in thought

• Her wolf tail wags whenever she's happy, goes in between her leg when she's unsure, remains still when caught off guard, and lazily sways in most situations.

• Rufo practices her needlework regularly, as it's essential for Fauvism.

• Rufo likes to hear another persons opinion or perspective on her art, and will take any form of criticism into mind to improve her art

• Rufo regularly patches and fixes her bear arm, vulture leg and wolf tail.

• Rufo regularly goes out to hunt for Ingredients for her artwork, such as hunting down wolves from the Outskirts, mermaids from the Great Lake, etc.

• Rufo likes to mock her enemies with "critique" when in combat. When she puts on the wolf mask however, she will only make animalistic noises in combat.

• Rufo can't help but silently critique any Artwork she sees. Sometimes she voices it if it's too much.

Personality

• Rufo is a composed artist sharing sensibilities common of the Ring; somebody willing to reach extreme violence if it becomes necessary for her goals, yet still leaves room available for possible discussion. She values differing perspectives and the use of subjectivity in viewing art, while she has her own preference for what art may be and how it should be made, often preferring the use of animals as it can bring out the more visceral, and rawer parts within art, she’s open minded and can see the reason on why art from humans can be made. She despises art that lacks substance or that are made with no soul, actively considering it to be “mere slop” that was made with no intentions or a deeper meaning aside from the pretty visuals.

• While open to conversation upon art and the use of subjectivity within views, she remains a member of the ring still and is still open to extreme methods of violence in order to acquire whatever she may need to reach her goals. And like members of the ring, she has an unhinged and violent side seen only when reaching for her goals. Her extreme violence however isn’t the focal point however, as she still remains an intelligent woman who is open to interpretation and capable of conversing with another. She’s not necessarily “kind” or caring, but compared to the cities standards, she won’t be prone to immediate hostility or violence, and if someone is close or someone she respects, she can be an overall decent person to be around.

Fauvism extras

• Le Fauve" is a concept that's all about being free, beastly and alive, the essence of Fauvism. Rufo controls the claws of her bear paw by reaching in with her normal hand to pull out its tendons to control it like a puppet. That way, she can close the fist, extend and unextend the claws, etc. The claw of the bear paw is made up of bear, wolf, lynx and even turtle claws, making it a good Fauvist artwork and a lethal weapon. Dead Lake is Rufo’s signature piece, and it takes the form of a Great Lake Whale with Kraken tentacles being stitched to it. It's on display in the Fauvist Gallery as well. Switching one's animal in Fauvism is very controversial, and Rufo has two primary animals with several secondary animals. The primary animals being a Wolf (her first animal) and a Great Bear. Rufo utilizes P Corp Technology to shrink down her Artworks (aka as "Fauvist Limbs", which are her Bear Paw and Claws, Vulture leg and Masque de Loup) whenever she isn't using them and always keeps them on her in her breast pocket to unshrink them and wear them on demand. The Masque du Loup is a stitched-together mask made of a white wolf's head without eyeholes, decorated with two separate pairs of white horns, with its mouth sealed shut by the same cloth seen on her other Fauvist limbs. The wolf head can actually open up to reveal her face, and it will disable the Ring paint being pumped into her system.

Extra information

• Fixers are hired hands who perform a multitude of tasks requiring skills that the average person would not have. The Hana Association is in charge of all Fixer activities and they rank Fixers based on their work and performance, their ranking ranges from Grade 9 to Grade 1, with Grade 9 being the lowest and Grade 1 being the highest. The Hana Association also rate the threat level of hazards across the city, the ratings are from lowest to highest; Urban Myth, Urban Legend, Urban Plague, Urban Nightmare, Star of the City. The Ring is one of the five fingers, the fingers are insanely power syndicates that hold control over the backstreets. The four other fingers appropriately named the Middle, Thumb, Index, and Pinky.
