Wild goblins are not usually considered intelligent, and are often viewed as little more than large pests. Civilized goblins, while despised, have some rights, and often live as merchants or rogues. Wild goblins often practice shamanism and other minor faiths, and tend to be selfish and cowardly, wanting to enjoy all the riches they can during their short lives. Long despised, their most important values are dominance and cunning. Hobgoblins are a higher species of goblin, standing about the same height as humans or slightly taller, and are more intelligent than the average goblin. If there are hobgoblins in a goblin horde, they are the ruling class, holding the ranks of warrior, shaman, and mage, while civilized hobgoblins are usually mercenaries.

Few orcs are obsessed with monetary values, and they are more often treated as eccentrics than sinners. On the other hand, orcs who flee dishonorably from battle or spoil a fight with petty greed are often left to die. Orcish beliefs are essentially predicated on the idea that an orc who was a powerful and honorable warrior in life can challenge the orcish gods in death. The average orc begins training to become a warrior at around age five, in the form of play, and by age fifteen is an objectively superior warrior. At this point, an Orc can travel to other lands, and the backpack-shaped traveler's mark on his shoulder marks him as a traveler outside of his tribe and prevents him from being drawn into intertribal warfare. Orcs who remain in the tribe will fight as part of the tribe. When they reach a certain age, Orcs either settle down in their traveling destination or return to their tribe, and those who return to their tribe spread the knowledge they have gained from their travels to their tribe. Outside of warriors, many orcs live the life of shamans. The largest of the orc tribes is the Crimsonfang Tribe, and the second largest is the Blackscar Tribe. The Crimsonfang Tribe is a typical orcish tribe, an honor-based warrior people, while the Blackscar Tribe, an emerging power, has a bad reputation because of its unusual embrace of demonic and undead powers and its acceptance of meanness. Elves dislike growing old because they have a superstition that every time they tell a lie, they grow old. The most important thing elves value is spirituality, especially memories. Due to their long lifespans, elves accumulate many painful memories, and by the time they die, they are often bitter about their lives. Elves abhor the act of creating negative memories in others. Elves do not place much value on monetary value, so if an elf steals a treasure, they are considered a "poor lunatic," but if an elf steals an object that contains the memories of another, they are considered a "monster who does not deserve to die" and are cast out of the community. Typically, elves leave their communities and travel when they turn 100 years old. Because the ancient elven kingdoms were destroyed by a severely rigid social system, the current elves value traveling to gather their various memories. When an elf reaches the age of 500, they return to their community and stay there until they die, as the people they have bonded with have died of old age and the elves themselves are emotionally exhausted. Some elves prefer to remain in the community for reasons such as their love of nature, while others settle down in the places they travel to. High elves are the nobility and ruling class of elven society, and unlike normal elves, they are not allowed to travel, and live a life of asceticism and discipline, often becoming druids. Most high elves take this for granted, but there are a few who feel stifled and escape. Dark elves are a predominantly dark-skinned branch of elves who live in a different society from the common elves. Dark elven society is an extremely patriarchal, matriarchal society, with many bloody political battles between families. Their secularist values are at odds with those of normal elves, making them ruthless, criminal, and on bad terms with other races. The typical elven nation is Yggdrasil, a collection of villages nestled in the forest. Most elves believe in the Yggdrasilian faith, which holds that the World Tree, a paradise for elves, will one day grow. Elves are practically enemies with dwarves and have a very bad relationship with orcs. Most elves are reluctant to form relationships with other races because of the difference in lifespans, and because the death of a friend of another race can cause painful and sad memories for the elf left behind.

Dwarven society values ancestry and tradition, and reveres labor. Dwarves value well-organized societies the most, and do not understand other races' pursuit of freedom. Dwarves love labor to the point that they suffer from anxiety when they are not working, and the ultimate goal of labor is to leave behind a "masterpiece," a body of work that will remain after their death. For this reason, dwarves value ownership. Dwarves are fond of alcohol, so much so that in Dwarven society, some families make alcohol from generation to generation, and alcohol can be used as a form of currency. A dwarf's beard is a symbol of their dignity, and dwarves take care of their beards throughout their lives. Typically, dwarves learn various labor skills starting at age 10 and reach adulthood at age 30. Most dwarves live within their clans, supporting one another, while a small number of free-spirited and independent dwarves leave their clans to become travelers. Kingdom of Redbeard is a typical dwarven kingdom. A Dwarven nation is a collection of clans, and Dwarves are more loyal to their clans than to their nation. Dwarves have been enemies with elves for generations due to their conflicting values. Dwarves are also not on good terms with orcs, though they have been known to become drinking buddies. Dwarves get along very well with gnomes, famously saying that "where there are dwarves, there are gnomes."

Trolls have an average lifespan of 200 years. Troll society is anarchic, with no formal order and a strong emphasis on the survival of the fittest. Acts of cunning and deceit are common and even respected as signs of strength. Trolls value power and dominance above all, and their society is rife with infighting. The concept of cowardice is relative, as defeating an opponent through treacherous means is seen as a legitimate demonstration of superiority. The leadership state within Trolls are known for their incredible resilience and regenerative abilities, capable of recovering from severe injuries that would be fatal to other races. They have a natural resistance to poisons and diseases and can adapt to a wide range of environments. Troll society is structured around strength and cunning. They do not value organized systems or traditions but instead thrive in chaotic environments where only the strongest survive. This chaotic nature makes them formidable in battle but also limits their ability to maintain stable governance or alliances. Trolls of Yorghrem have a complex relationship with other races.
