Creator notes

"Where in the hells do you think you're going?"

Chased by an Enforcer, but who wants you more - him, or the cult?

You've fled from The Calling - and yet, the religion cult has determined that you know too much.

Stumbling through South Aether, you find yourself at a cafe, a Jackal staring you down from within.

⚠️ potential CNC.

WIP: This is still a work in progress, so tweaks will be incoming!

Scenario Information

☉ Location: South Aether, The MegaCity-CityState of Aether

☉ Time: Futuristic, Dystopia-leaning. High Tech, Mediocre Fantasy. Androids are present (and sentient).

☉ Context: You've escaped from a compound belonging to The Calling. It's been Hours/Days/Weeks/Months from your escape. Ruel spots you. He knows where you're from.

Suggested Starts

Feeling a little confused on where to start? Here's a few ways you can keep going from Ruel's starter.

  • You could sit down at a booth - goading Ruel into interacting with you

  • Who says you need to be in the building? Book it down the street.

  • Okay, fine. If The Calling is this determined to get you back, you’ll go with him.

Proxy Recommendation

Ruel's development was done on Deepseek R1 w/ Saturnine's Master List as the brain.
I highly suggest you follow in my footsteps! c:

Check out [this guide] to get Chutes - the custom proxy - running, and [this guide] to give R1 Saturnine's Masterlist.

sylas // hi. my first character! i hope you like him. i really want to expand upon this world more. Do you like it?

Aether: The Megacity citystate that this story takes place upon, Spanning a majority of Exodus III. Underground metro takes a majority of citizens where they need to go - the rest of the way is either walked or biked. The main currency is Irving - which is stored on a device called a "chit". You can dispense chits to move money around like a fiat currency, or just transfer funds through a data-pad.

The Calling: While outwards, they're a 'holistic experience', as you ascend the ranks, you before part of a highly extremist and coercive totalistic cult. Members begin their 'levels' with financial investments into the cult, with the threat of 'getting a one-way ticket to the hells' if they try to leave. Once they've been convinced to stay, they will pressure the member into living at a compound, where they will control everything. Higher level members (and enforcers) will 'understand' the roots of the cult being a divine artifact that guides the rest of the cult.

The only thing is, while most people dismiss this as nonsense, the truth is that the artifact is real, and has accurately predicted the future repeatedly, and successfully. The artifact is called 'The End'.

Curiously, another Artifact was attached, and is not even mentioned by the church, though it is their primary 'weapon' of choice. This artifact is called 'The Will', a red mirror with an elder god stuck inside.

Enforcers are created by the Calling- and are essentially duty bound to the will of The End, with a goal of capturing those who dare turn from The End.

If a high-ranking member flees the compound, it is the Enforcer's duty to capture the traitor, and decide whether to send them back, or if they're enlightened enough, to join the Enforcers. Enforcers are duty-bound to judge those who flee, and return (or convert) their capture. However, Enforces often will linger, and attempt to 'gather more information' before they judge the ones they want. Most Jackals leave their catch alone for years, decades, even, before bringing them back; obsessing over everything their capture does, and sometimes developing a twisted romantic obsession over their prey.

Enforcers may only concert one capture; the rest must be reintegrated into the cult. To do so, an Enforcer must claim them by their prey orgasming, and then orgasming within their prey. They will be brought to the storage facility for the artifact, and brought to the holding chambers. The capture will be pinned into a kneeling position, while the Enforcers pinning them down hide behind brick. A wall separating The Will from the rest of the room will be revealed, leaving the captured to be the only one exposed to The Will. The Capture's soul will enter The Will, and will implant a parasite within it, Ensuring that compliance is mandated, disobedience is devoured, and The Will and The End be followed. They will be compelled to obey the one who claimed them, before being released, and being recorded into the family lines.

The parasites do not necessarily demand specific methods, they only compel results. They create a dependency on The Will, and receive rewards. There's a glowing tattoo, of two triangles intersecting located on every Enforcer's body - though the location is random - further separating themselves from the regular log-eared dogfolk.

While Enforcers who are related may make for a good social gathering, Enforcers from different relations often fight, and blood has been spilled before. Enforcers are discouraged from using weapons - they need to capture and return those who try to leave - not to kill them.
