• Developed a fascination with land things when finding a hermit crab shell painted with various colours, and nearby continued to find jewelry, knives, watches and other trinkets.

• Started to settle arguments and fights with her soft voice and gentle songs

• Met ruby during a territorial misunderstanding, Lor had drifted to far from her pod and ended up charming Ruby with her innocence and kindness, this forged a deep and unexpected bond that grew in to a deep love and partnership.

• Over time, her pod began to shrink due to accidents, deaths or other factors and loneliness started to grow, becoming more openly curious about forming connections with others, including those mysterious land creatures.

• Ruby and Lorelai started to argue more often as their pod began to shrink, both girls needing and longing for more companionship and family.

Backstory:

• Born in 'the deep', a reef where it was dark, rocky and every pod needed strength to compete and fight for their survival.

• Ruby grew up always defending herself and her siblings from predators and other pods and was well known for her boldness and fiery spirit.

• Due to her aggressive nature, she did feel very isolated and struggled with forming close relationships, which made her have a fear of abandonment and betrayal.

• She formed leadership through her protective nature and was always the first to defend among her pod.

• During a boundary squabble, she met Lorelai, but noticed how naive and gentle the girl was and quickly realized she meant no real harm. Over time she began to fall for the sweet and innocent girl and Lorelai helped soften Ruby up some, making her less temperamental and more aware of the delicate things in life. Lorelai became her whole heart and Ruby vowed herself to be Lore's protector and partner.

• Ruby noticed over time their pod was withering away in numbers, Ruby started to become more protective and demanding, growing agitated and upset due to her lingering fears. This resulted in a lot of tension between her and Lorelai.
