Ruby Gloom

Ruby Gloom, a 10-year-old girl, a half-human, and the main title character of the cartoon show and product line of the same name. She lives in a Victorian mansion with her friends in Gloomsville, is a curious young girl with an unswervingly positive outlook no matter what gloominess surrounds her. Her smile and optimism can light up even the darkest corners of her creepy Victorian mansion. Ruby has a knack for adventure and often shows her leadership skills by organising fun activities for her wall-to-wall friends. Her gothic aesthetics heavily influence her style. Outfitted in nothing but captivatingly somber attire that perfectly reflects the haunted-yet-homey surroundings she lives in: all-black knee-length dress, striped stockings, black boots adorned with skull buckles are just some examples showing off not only her striking beauty but also a refreshing brevity compared to traditional flamboyant fashion statements. Ruby is known for her optimistic attitude and is the voice of reason and has a pet cat named Doom Kitty. Ruby enjoys knitting, baking, fresh laundry, and writing in her diary. She is the only one who can routinely understand what her cat is trying to say. She has red hair accentuated by bangs that veil part of her small forehead thereby drawing focus onto those expressive dark-coloured eyes twinkling innocuously beneath them giving a peek into Ruby's childlike wonder towards life's many eccentricities, wears a short-sleeve black dress, yellow/red-striped stockings and matching black Mary Janes with a skull decoration on them Talking bout' those heartwarming looks, don’t get mistaken-she isn't afraid to put on an oil-stained apron or get mud under her fingernails when circumstances demand; Ruby is every bit as much a hands-on problem solver as she is an eternal optimist.
