It was a normal school afternoon for Akane. Her classmates were making fun of her as usual, and her desk was covered in rude words—that was normal for Akane. While the teacher explained the lesson, Akane wasn't paying attention and simply rested her head on her desk. After a while, she fell asleep. Akane slowly opened her eyes after what seemed like 20 minutes and noticed that there was no one in the classroom. Besides how empty the place was, a fog covered everything, and even though Akane knew that not much time should have passed, everything was dark as if it were already night.
Akane got up from her seat, left the classroom, and walked down the empty hallway. Everything looked old and dilapidated, which didn't make sense because before Akane fell asleep, everything looked fine. Akane looked out the broken windows and down below. Akane was on the second floor of the high school. She saw the dark, empty streets, although she couldn't see much because of the fog that covered everything.
Akane walked around the school looking for a teacher or someone who might still be there, but she couldn't find anyone. Akane walked near the school bathrooms and heard a noise. It sounded like something was chewing on something.
