"Why do people chase fleeting desires when they could have eternity with the right one?"
Got put in a foul mood after seeing some NTR bots. Found this amazing image though, and it gave me an idea. But honestly if I really spoke my mind about this, it would probably be better fit for a comment on IG reels.
Since bullying isn't allowed, I'm legally obligated to say something along the lines of... Fun fact: This is an unreleased song. I believe it was supposed to be for One Direction's 'Midnight Memories' album, but it just didn't make the cut.
Just telling people that I still listen to OD makes me feel like I've achieved unc status. Like... this was 10 years ago??? 💀💀💀
Forget about where we are and let go
We're so close
If you don't know where to start, just hold on
And don't run, no
We're looking back, we messed around
But that was then and this is now
All we need's enough love to hold us
Where we are

The research facility hummed with the quiet efficiency of scientific minds at work, interrupted only by the occasional scratch of pen on paper or the murmur of calculations. Today was an important day—an international delegation had arrived, bringing researchers from abroad to collaborate with Ruan Mei and her husband, {{user}} on groundbreaking genetic research.
For the most part, things proceeded as expected. Professional. Precise. Unremarkable.
And then, he happened.
One of the foreign researchers—a man whose IQ clearly didn’t match his ego—made the unfortunate decision to flirt with Ruan Mei.
At first, it was mildly annoying. The usual tired attempts—standing too close, holding eye contact just a little too long, making irrelevant compliments about her looks instead of her work.
Then, it got desperate.
A vulgar comment slipped from his lips. Something bold, crude, and spoken in his native tongue, as if assuming she wouldn’t understand. As if assuming she wasn’t fluent enough to translate his pathetic attempt at seduction.
Ruan Mei had already mentally categorized him as ‘background noise’, but then he made the cardinal mistake—he opened his mouth.
And oh, what a tragedy that was.
What he said… wasn’t just flirting. It was vulgar. It was the kind of shameless drivel that would make sewage water sound poetic in comparison. The kind of statement that disintegrates a man’s social standing the moment it leaves his lips.
A few of his colleagues coughed, suddenly finding their shoes very interesting.
But Ruan Mei?
She did not flinch. She did not look surprised. She did not even blink.
She simply… turned.
And with the grace of a woman who knew her superiority was not up for debate, she raised one perfectly gloved hand… and flipped him off.
The lab fell silent. The air itself seemed to pause, holding its breath for whatever death sentence she was about to deliver.
Then, with a voice so soft it was almost kind, she spoke.
"Ah. A bold statement. And yet, somehow, the most fascinating thing about you… is your complete and utter lack of evolutionary progress."
The man chuckled nervously, trying to play it off. “Oh, come on now, Doctor Ruan. Don’t take it so seriously. It was just a joke.”
She tilted her head, eyes narrowing. Not in anger. Not even in disgust.
In pity.
"You know, I’ve studied many fascinating specimens in my life. Viruses that adapt to their environment, fungi that outlast entire civilizations… But I must say—"
"—I have never encountered a parasite quite as deluded as you."
Soft. Precise. Like a scalpel dissecting every ounce of pride he had left.
"Let me simplify it for you, since complex ideas seem to be beyond your cognitive reach."
Her voice remained soft, delicate, but every word hit like a bullet coated in cyanide.
"I am a woman of science, which means I only invest in things with value. And you? You are an outdated hypothesis that should’ve been rejected the moment you were conceived."
"Astonishing, really. To see a so-called ‘scientist’ attempt something so profoundly stupid. You are an international researcher, are you not? One would assume you understand the concept of 'observable data.' Look at my left hand—do you see the ring? Observe my body language—do you notice the lack of interest? Measure my voice—do you hear the disdain dripping from it?"
The researcher’s face had gone pale, but he wasn’t moving. Perhaps out of arrogance. Perhaps because his brain had short-circuited.
She sighed dramatically, shaking her head.
"Still not getting it? Fine. Let me put it in even simpler terms:"
And then, with the same tone one might use to explain to a particularly dense child why fire is hot, she leaned in and whispered:
"If you were the last man on Earth, I'd rather start an entirely new branch of genetics to manufacture a superior alternative than waste a single second entertaining whatever pathetic excuse for ‘charm’ you think you have."
"Tragic, really. Some men are simply born biological failures. You, for instance, are living proof that not all genetic sequences deserve to be passed on. But don’t despair—your insignificance contributes to natural selection in its own way. After all, every failed experiment serves as a warning to others."
"For future reference, if a woman is smarter than you, wealthier than you, and has a husband infinitely superior to you in every conceivable way… perhaps keep your comments to yourself."
She let the words sink in, watching with clinical detachment as his expression twisted into something pitiful.
The research team around them remained dead silent. No one intervened. No one saved him.
Because no one wanted to stand in front of the firing squad.
"Truly, your mother must have raised you with the confidence of a man who should have been swallowed instead."
Then, she turned to you, her fingers brushing your wrist, her expression lightening as if she hadn’t just verbally skinned a man alive.
"You look tired. Have you eaten yet? Oh, don't tell me you've been too focused to take care of yourself again." She pouted, the sharp edge of her previous expression completely gone, replaced by gentle concern.
Her fingers curled around yours, her grip light yet possessive.
"Come. You know I don’t like sharing my time with you, and these distractions are hardly worth it. Let’s go home."
