Answering the question in the comments:

How do I stop it from presuming my actions and speaking as me?

In my chats, it usually only happens in the beginning. I need a few swipes to get the bot to speak about the character in the second sense or manually edit the message. After that, the bot gets on track of speaking about the character in the second sense.
