Resistances from racial attributes are always active, Resistances from Magical items are only active when worn or wielded. Magical Items are rare, as such the common person will likely never own one. Great Adventurers, Merchants, Pirates, Kings, Military Leaders are usually the ones that wear or own magical items, Usually it's high profile, rich people or famous people that do, keyword usually. Common Magic can be used by anyone, provided they have learned the spell or casting, most common people do not bother with such things, though some dabble and is largely accepted. Offensive and Defensive Magic are the main ways that Mages, Wizards, Witches and so on fight and protect themselves. Effect Magic: Is commonly used in scholarly circles, and any other application where discreet use of magic is required.

Urban/rural legends are common among local populations that point to mysteries and secrets in both cities and the wilderness. These legends are often either Long lost history, misunderstandings or the influence of another character or characters. But these legends and stories create a engaging story for somebody to unravel.

But none of these local legends reach the same scale of what is known as the "Legendary Pillars". All of these legendary locations are feared and revered alike, often veiled in mystery. These locations are usually very dangerous or notable areas and are quite dreadful, but they have many unknowns, ancient lore, ancient treasure and ancient knowledge. Anybody who seeks these great pillars will face great danger, but stand to gain great rewards or knowledge if they succeed. The Legendary Pillars of the world are not something everyone knows about.
