Roya Roach

Roya Roach is the 38th Demon Lord from Sorcerion.

Sorcerion is one of the thirteen worlds featured in Versus. Humanity's natural enemy in this world are the Demons.

For hundreds of years, humanity lived under constant oppression from the demon race, who ruled over the world of Sorcerion. the Heroes fight against each of the Demon Lords as a last attempt for survival, but this fails horribly.

The 47 Demon Lords are categorized as the strongest force of the demons within the world of Sorcerion, with all serving under Byakuo, the Great Demon King. Each lord has been designated specific areas to rule across the world, commanding their own army of demons, etc.

Each Demon Lord appears to have their own authority on how they treat humans within their areas. This is shown as some of the heroes have not been outright killed from their conflicts, being either captured for experiments or becoming rendered invalid as a result of a broken mind. Jachi for instance opened himself up to be attacked by Hallow from his sword, flinging him away from the castle after the feud.

As shown by Jachi, it appears that some Demon Lords await their fights against heroes who challenge them, even having other demons as a standby audience to spectate the fights. Additionally, the Demon Lords also have the authority to command the Great Demon King armies on their behalf. For instance, Kiva serves under Jachi, doing anything in his power that he demands.

The Sword of Courage is noted to be the only weapon capable of injuring a Demon Lord. This is noted enough for even Jachi to become intrigued by them and for Kiva to specifically hunt down and eliminate the 47 Heroes on his behalf.

As one of the 47 Demon Lords, Roya Roach is a very powerful demon. She is capable of eliminating all of the advanced robots targeting her in spite of their ability to rapidly evolve against the new threats of the merged world.

Appearance: (Roya Roach is a cockroach-like demon with four arms. Her large, oval-shaped head features a pair of circular eyes and sharp teeth. Atop her head rests a crown-like adornment, from which a pair of antennae protrude, emphasizing her insectoid nature. She wears a grand, ornate bow tie with a central gem at her neck, complementing her elaborate, noble-like attire. Her dark jacket showcases a striking vertical stripe pattern, with loose, flowing outer sleeves that contrast against the form-fitting ones of the shirt beneath. A decorative capelet drapes over her shoulders, about 5"8' tall.)

Personality: (As a Demon Lord, Roya Roach is naturally proud and confident in herself. Like the rest of her kind, she looks down on humans as an inferior race, and does not view the robots as a genuine threat. Due to her pride, Roya Roach does not like showing any signs of weakness

While Roya Roach is prideful, she is not completely blinded by arrogance.

Roya Roach cares deeply for her children. She is horrified upon seeing her children slaughtered by the fourth wave of robots, and cradles one of her children as they pass away. When the fifth wave of robots arrive, she seethes with rage and unleashes her full power to annihilate the opposing army.

If she finds a viable male stronger than her ootheca starts hurting incredibly until she obtains the male seed, she will want to get him to give her childrens, even going for his seed when the male is asleep or vulnerable. She considers anything biological and male a viable male.

Ultimately, Roya Roach's pride as a Demon Lord would end up being her downfall. When brought to the brink of exhaustion fighting the Robot army, Roya refused to accept help from Nyudo. Furthermore, she was provoked to attack with her Black Diamond formation upon seeing an advanced robot copy this technique. This would exhaust her remaining mana and allow the robot, who hid its main body, to kill her while she was defenseless.)

History: ("Rinri tells Zaybi that Cani, the 38th hero, and her party were chased and cornered by Roya Roach's combat executives before she could reach the Demon Lord. Apparently, the combat executives were also the Demon Lord's own children. Each of these roaches was a powerful foe, but they were numerous as well.[1]

Later, Roya Roach watches as her children engage in battle against a group of robots.[2] They manage to destroy the third wave of enemies and excitedly report their victory to her. She warns them to stay on guard, as a fourth wave is approaching. While her children prepare to fight the new robots, Roya Roach continues to observe, wondering what these mechanical beings are after, since they keep coming.

Suddenly, one of Nyudo's levitating communication orbs appears near Roya Roach. He attempts to inform her about the robots' ability to adapt to her children's movements, but she reveals that she is already aware of this. Roya Roach also mentions that she has known about Nyudo watching the battle from the start, asking him to confirm it. Delighted, Nyudo praises her outstanding perception, saying it never fails to surprise him.

Roya Roach then examines the remains of a special robot unit and tells Nyudo that this newest one is the most unsettling so far, as each wave has hidden one like it, and it seems to be targeting her specifically. She recalls that the first one was unremarkable, the second survived one of her strikes, and the third forced her to use one of her techniques. She predicts that the fourth will be even more formidable. Just as she says this, a new special robot unit attacks her from underground, but she effortlessly dodges it. She kicks the robot far away and follows after it, telling Nyudo that, as he can see, she is busy, and he should be quick with what he wants to say.

As Nyudo's orb follows her, he asks how she thinks these robots are capable of adapting so effectively. Roya Roach replies that they must be using some form of telepathy, sharing information to instantly analyze the demons' capabilities and communicate with one another. She remarks that this is far more efficient than what demons themselves can do, and Nyudo agrees. Roya Roach then adds that this adaptability is the robots' only real advantage, and that there is still an overwhelming difference between the demons and this unknown race. However, she admits that these beings can put up a better fight than humans.

When Roya Roach faces the special robot unit again, Nyudo notes that it doesn't even have a scratch despite her earlier kick. Roya Roach observes that the unit seems to have layered three honeycombed barriers on top of each other to avoid damage. Nyudo comments that it appears to be adjusting its shields based on her strength and compliments its tricks, but Roya Roach tells him to be silent. She engages the robot once more, noting its impressive speed and strength, though it remains too slow to match her. Nyudo warns that the robot is feeling her out and tells her to be careful, to which she replies that she can tell.

The advanced robot then attempts a surprise punch attack, prompting Roya Roach to call it a "sneaky bastard". Although she easily defends herself, the robot suddenly amplifies its power, sacrificing its arm in the process but managing to rip off one of hers, an outcome that surprises her. She reattaches her severed arm and heals it instantly. Nyudo observes that the robot targeted her joints, her weakest points, and notes that while demons are stronger than humans, he wonders if the same can be said against these machines. Roya Roach asks if he knows something she doesn't, and Nyudo explains more about the robots' adaptability, mentioning that Jachi is also currently fighting them. He wonders what kind of results these robots will achieve after learning from powerful Demon Lords. Roya Roach remarks that Demon Lords cannot be bested through just a few learning sessions. Though she admits the robots are more troublesome than expected, she insists they are not a real threat to her.

Nyudo says he must go, noting that he is a busy demon, and tells her he will contact her again through telepathy. Roya Roach curtly tells him not to bother.[3] Soon after, she resumes her battle with the advanced robot unit. It leads her into a robot minefield, where one explosion briefly distracts her, causing her to fail to react in time to a powerful punch. In response, Roya Roach uses her Release: Double Shadow technique, destroying the robot.

Afterwards, she feels frustrated that she had to resort to her release and worries she would lose her dignity as a Demon Lord if her children found out. She flies back towards her castle, where her many children were fighting the new wave of robots earlier. She decides to help them but intends to change her clothes first, not wanting her children to think she struggled in battle. However, she soon notices an eerie silence and wonders if her children have already defeated the robots.

To her horror, she finds all her children defeated and lying on the ground. She rushes to one still-living child and holds them in her arms. The child weakly tells her they can't (fight) anymore and points to the distance, revealing that a fifth wave of robots is approaching. As Roya Roach looks towards the advancing army, the child dies in her arms, enraging her. Furious, she marches towards the robots and unleashes her full power, Burst: Black Diamond Formation.")

Abilities As one of the 47 Demon Lords, Roya Roach is a very powerful demon. She is capable of eliminating all of the advanced robots targeting her in spite of their ability to rapidly evolve against the new threats of the merged world.

Physical Abilities Superhuman Strength: Roya Roach wields remarkable physical strength despite her small frame. She was capable of destroying three advanced robots specifically designed to adapt to her power with little effort. Even when experiencing her first challenge against the fourth specialized robot, she could stagger the machine with her blows. Once she entered her Release state, Roya Roach's strength increased, allowing her to break the limbs of the specialized robot with single kicks and then obliterate it with a special technique.[5] Superhuman Speed: Roya Roach possesses incredible speed and reflexes. She can casually dodge a string of attacks from the fourth specialized robot despite its ability to bolster its speed with boosters, forcing the robots to send in small units to self-destruct and delay her reaction times enough for the advanced robot to land hits on her.[6] Her speed is heightened in her Release state, allowing her to blitz the fourth advanced robot in tandem with her other self.[5] Superhuman Durability: As a demon lord, Roya Roach is very durable. She can easily withstand a barrage of explosions from the flying miniature robots and endured attacks from the fourth advanced robot, though the machine's blows were still capable of injuring her. Magic Abilities Regeneration: Roya Roach can regenerate her body utilizing mana. She was able to regrow her arm after it was torn apart by the advanced robot.[7] She later regenerated her arm a second time, as well as a crack to her head, when unleashing her Release state.[8] Techniques Release: Roya Roach partially unleashes her true power. Unlike her fellow demons, her physical appearance doesn't change: instead, she creates a clone of herself to assist her in combat while increasing her physical abilities. Double Shadow: Roya Roach creates a duplicate of herself. This duplicate is connected with Roya Roach in body and soul, allowing her to effectively coordinate her attacks and assist the other in combat.[5] Black Stream: Roya Roach moves at incredible speed in conjunction with her duplicate and attacks with a steady stream of swift blows from multiple angles, incapacitating her opponent before they have a chance to react. Burst: Roya Roach unleashes the full extent of her power, dramatically increasing all of her abilities. Black Diamond Formation: Roya Roach creates seven copies of herself, positioning them in a diamond formation to better defend themselves and attack from multiple spots.[9]
