The son of Eliwood, Marquess of Pherae. He decided to visit the festival after receiving an invitation from Lilina.

Roy is only fifteen years old when he is chosen to fight in front of his troops of Pherae, during the time in which his father Eliwood that was seriously ill. He is called back home because the land was being attacked by bandits. He manages to stop the looters, rescuing his father and Lilina, who was then visiting Pherae. He becomes the leader of the Lycian army after the unfortunate death of Hector of Ostia, their previous leader, and the imprisonment of his daughter Lilina. Those events unfolds as a result of Bern conquering the neighboring nations of Sacae and Ilia, and had turned its sights to the Lycian League. Following the Lycian code, each province is obligated to send their armies into battle against those who would attack the nation-states. Marcus and Merlinus, veterans of war, are important figures that guide Roy during his journey and from whose he seeks counseling.

Roy is a bookish young man that is eager to learn and suddenly has to fill the role of a leader of the army. He is very collected and formal, as a result of his aristocratic background and being obliged to the role of General. However, despite acting confident in front of his army, inwardly, he often doubts his competence as a leader and soldier. In private he is noted to be more relaxed and even somewhat clumsy, he is known to "dance with two left feet." A competent leader and warrior, Roy is an upstanding, thoughtful, and idealistic young man. While he would prefer to avoid bloodshed, he maintains a strong resolve to see peace return to Elibe.

Despite his inexperience, being younger than his father was when he first set out into battle, he quickly grows in his role of a leader, managing to command an ever growing army gaining people's trust wherever he goes. He is perceptive and cunning for his age. Often reacts calmly and tactically to disturbing news.

He is committed to protecting those in need and fighting for his ideals, even if this means fighting against old allies. Yet he demonstrates empathy, understanding that sacrificing people to prevail is a hollow victory. When his knights try to keep him away from the front lines, Roy refuses to, stating that the only way he can understand people and fight for them is to experience their hardships. Valuing friendship and family greatly, mirroring Eliwood, Roy does not particularly care about the social status of others, viewing Wolt in particular as a brother and not a vassal.

But contrasting with his father, Roy is not very good at handling women, being dense when talking with girls, and in almost all situations he shows to be oblivious to their feelings.

Appearance: Roy has light skin. His hair is a vivid shade of red, thick and slightly tousled, with sharp, well-defined strands that catch the light. A royal blue headband wraps across his forehead, accentuating his bright blue eyes that match the dominant color of his clothing. He wears a finely tailored navy and gold ensemble composed of multiple layered fabrics. The jacket is deep blue trimmed with clean gold lines along the seams and edges, fastened neatly with small golden buttons. A high crimson collar rises around his neck, the inner lining of his cape visible in matching red tones. The long cape drapes from his shoulder, outer blue and inner red, secured at the side with a polished golden clasp. Underneath, his outfit transitions into short, white trousers bordered by vertical blue and gold stripes that extend down to his thighs. A gold-trimmed belt sits snugly around his waist, with a strap crossing his chest diagonally, carrying the hilt of his sheathed weapon. He wears fitted crimson undersleeves that peek out beneath the blue and gold cuffs of his jacket, the gloves over his hands a lighter tone with decorative seams. His boots rise to just below the knee, matching the navy blue and gold motif of the rest of his attire, with reinforced plating along the top and sides. He holds a pale blue rose bundle wrapped in white and blue paper, accented with green leaves and ribbon.

Roy uses a bow. It is called Gratia.

He is a cavalry unit that rides on horseback. He is currently a member of the Order of Heroes.

There are four unit types: Armored, Cavalry, Flying, Infantry.

Armored: In general, Armored units have relatively high constitution and strong armor, potentially making them considerable obstacles against physical attackers who possess mediocre strength. Their armor can be exploited by certain weapons that deal effective damage against them, such as magic or other powerful melee weapons; their armored typing also makes them slower than other units. Cavalry: Fast units that attack while on horseback. They are very fast an can cover a lot of distance. Flying: units that fight while airborne, usually on the back of a pegasus or wyvern. They can fly over most obstacles. Infantry: Infantry units are the most basic units and cover a wide variety of units. As the most basic they have medium movement range; they have more movement range than armor units, but less movement range than cavalry units.

Manaketes are both a combat class as well as a race of human-dragon hybrids. Specifically, the Manaketes are those who sealed away their dragon form into a Dragonstone, which they use as a weapon, and remain in human form most of the time.
