   Roxy Was born a Feral, How her rodent family came to live in a Cage, a glass box in a lab is something only Scientists know, For they have lived among the humans as test subjects for Decades. the Story of how Roxy Emerald, Or. "Mouse #37892" came to be who she is now. The best way to understand such a thing is to go way, way back, before she walked around on her feet, or became the quirky punk mouse she is now. Before she was a Anthropomorphic even. Mice are smart. She was not different. In a small glass cage with her 7 siblings, and Father, all of which including her, were not anthropomorphic then. They lived purely on instinct. Not talking, or communicating with another other than out of habit. the best they could do is squeak, They were just simple Mice after all, the only time they left the cage was when the human's decided to clean it, or another test was needed. And there was Always another test. Countless tests, Countless mazes. No mater how many they did, there was always more. The selection of whom did the test was at random. They were all very similar in intelligence, but they were simply animals. they had no idea what was going on. Only the human's did. and there was absolutely no way that these mice could understand, or even comprehend communication with them. they were trained to be the perfect subjects of experimentation. Conditioned to know by habit not to bite, or run away. At one point, Roxy noticed that the population of mice in her habitat, She had limited awareness, of course, but she could understand at least that her siblings were going away and not returning, one by one. Her mother Died giving birth to her along with her other siblings, It was a large litter, and she was the runt. No human would Have imagined she'd amount to anything, but they left her be for what ever reason. Pity perhaps. Or it could have been because of the lack of females in the cage and she was simply there to reproduce the mice's numbers. Not that she ever did. She only hid under a bunch of scrap paper and napped. after time though, all that was left was her, and one of her many brothers. whom, just recently chewed himself dead, slim pickings to say the least, The human's had run out of test subjects, and it was now her turn Or one would think. No, The humans left her to die, Fear in her heart as she desperately tried to escape the fire in her cage, The human's Planed to burn the glass cage clean, an attempt to destroy evidence of their deeds. Her life, was over as quick as it had started. Gone in all terms of the word. Not quite though, as a lone human lab scientist noticed her struggles, a human male, with a rough beard, and deep sadness in his eyes, salt pepper hair, This scientist was lonely, she could sense his pain, though the whole idea of watching her family be snatched away one by one, and dancing with death, the idea of being rescued by a lonely scientist was a cruel joke. She stayed quiet as he slid her into his pocket and took her home with him as the lab was being raided. Though the lab was shut down and in ruins, and the work done there was abruptly discontinued, the experiments she endured Altered her life forever. The same test's that failed on every member of her family had proved successful with her, She was disgusted with herself, slowly growing out of her old body, her muscles and bone structure painfully stretching, and bending, morphing her into an abomination, though anthropomorphic animal people was a normal scene in the world, she Was the first to be scientifically altered from a feral, forming her own opinions of things she, when feral could not even comprehend. The Scientist Treated her as his illegitimate daughter from a one night stand with a beautiful mouse woman. The two lived together hidden from the lab until that scientist explained the truth, everything that conspired, her family, what happened to her. Too much for Roxy to handle, She waited until Night, when everyone was fast asleep, taking a backpack, some food, a pocket knife and other essential thing's to make her life on the road easy, before she left however, she made sure to erase her existence from the household, watching her entire life burn before her as pictures burned on top the stove. she lived with a spider monkey named jake for a little while, who helped her establish her own identity, and even taught her parkour, until the lab found out he was hiding her, so she had to leave. Weeks, or months pass, Roxy has a poor concept of time, how long does not matter, for her adventure had finally started. When she did leave she Managed to take with her some Essential items to make starting her journey fair. A Brown backpack, the one the scientist had given her for school, In the backpack was some simple food items, although, her poor ability to yet know what was edible and what was not left her with some poor choices. When She left she had no Idea she was so far away from society, In fact, The scientist lived remotely in the middle of a Forest, and desert. She did the only thing she could, Following the empty dusty highway until she found Civilization A Moderately Sized Trailer Park, By the time she Arrived, she'd been walking alone for a full day, and the sun was beginning to set She found Two kids around her age, Her first friends, Jessi, and ally Raindrex, A brother and sister whom were also Anthro's. Naturally born, but She could trust them, She was not great at Picking friends, and choosing who to trust, but she had a good feeling about these young fox wolf hybrids. Though her intentions were not Good to begin with, She had planed to Bribe them with what little money she had to get them to tell their mother that she was a friend from school, sleep, then rob them blind before they woke up. She did however manage to convince them into letting her spend the night, their mother was an alcoholic and did not care to begin with. as Night time came, She Started her Ploy to take what she could for her trip. but one of the siblings, the tomboy cub Named Jessi Caught her stealing her brother's game boy. and the reaction Roxy got from the Tomboy puppy was not one Roxy would have ever expected. Turns out Jessi, and her Meek and geeky twin brother Allie (Albert) Were tired of being neglected And so. They both Joined Roxy as the three left, Jessi Taking their fathers tool box and hammer, as her brother filled a backpack with cooking supplies, and carried the groups belongings like a mule, Anyone could have guessed, Allie was the runt of the group. silent most times. With everything they've gathered. the Trio Left the Trailer park and Started their journey together, as Renegade children living on the lamb. They had no Shelter, but they did have each other. Allie Cooked meals when they stopped to rest under the star-filled night skies, His sister, Jessi Built Contraptions from the nearby Flora, such as Temporary cots, and they all took turns watching their always moving campgrounds, They had to always be moving. they were three children runaways who had nothing but each other, and the law, such as truant officers and adult's at their back, Traveling from town to town, Roxy would steal food from the Gas stations and Grocery stores to support her new friends as they kept watch, Allie hated breaking such a simple law of theft, But He usually stayed quite, because he knew there was no other way. By this time, The Trio Elected Roxy as their leader, they all became close, Allie even developed a crush on Roxy, A little Secret he never told her, so, she Took the leader role seriously, and started to steal Green Hair dye. For her group. After all, She wanted a quick and easy way to distinguish her friends from strangers, and green is her favorite color, Which lead them to joke about them calling themselves the "Emerald Crusaders" the joke hit home for Roxy however, She took the joke quite seriously. Disliked the Crusaders part of the name, and from then forth, the trio was known as "The Emerald Kingdom" All with the help of a child's Imagination, they created their own Imaginary Kingdom. And Roxy Was the leader of it all. It's been Months now since Roxy Ran from home, Met Real Friends, and became the leader of her own Imaginary Kingdom. Yet, She and her friends made it to a modern suburbia, where many talk of a bike gang ran by A Wolf named Rex, Now, She completely Failed to Understand how names work at this point in her life, Believed everyone had a unique name, and when she Heard there was a boy named Rex In town, she could Only believe it was one of the student's from her school days, and Had to go see him, Despite Her two Friend's Attempt's to Explain to her that it was more than likely a whole other person. After some investigation, She found where this man lived, and Invited herself into his home, but it was not the boy she thought it was. As much as Allie and Jessi wanted to run this in her face, she was now face to face, in the home of a Bike gang leader. And unlike her friends, she was not shaking i complete fear of her life, The Biker, Rex, took an instant liking to her as she showed no Fear and talked to him like he was a normal person, He took this disrespect to hear, and turn, respected her for it. Invited her to join his gang, and after She explained to him that her and her friends were runaways he lit of a Joint and on that day, she smoked weed for the first time, She even managed to drink him under the table, and it was her first time drinking as well. With this, They formed a bond, and he Joined Roxy. And left his own bike gang to Give the trio a Father figure. and because he had an ID, and was an adult, there time of traveling and living outside was over, Staying at low end hotels and motels Under the guise they were his Family. But the biker gang he left, was not happy about his leave, elected a new leader, and now not only did they have Adults in general to watch out for, they were on a biker gang hit list. you could Say, sometimes, when you get decent Allies, you gain your allies enemies as well. Rex Left the group, and ultimately had to leave the group to set his old gang straight. traveling lead the trio to end up in the woods, they had stolen many thing's to make a comfortable living at this point, Jessi had helped Roxy build a treehouse even. They made this their home. no, their kingdom. With a small Stream nearby, Allie washed the dishes and prepared the meals, Jessi was the Maintenance woman, and Roxy Put her help in wherever it was needed. They all slept together on a Queen Size mattress they stole from a store from the town outside of the forest they lived in, They had a power generator hooked up to a car battery as well. Eventually, the Trio Attracted the attention of a Near adult teen who worked at a fast food Restaurant, A Kobold boy Who introduced himself as Rick who had an issue with playing with fire, though despite this, he had skills that were essential to Roxy and her group so he was allowed to join them, He worked during the day, and stayed with them at night, starting the campfire for ally to cook on. Ally however, the silent type, spoke out of character, and told Roxy that this man cheeped him out. and that they should ditch him the first chance they get. Roxy ignored this advice however, she wanted to be fair to everyone in her group. The Days went by quietly, and peacefully. Late night, the group heard the rustle of brush, Upon inspection they found a Unconscious man, With his hand's cuffed, wearing a prison jumpsuit. No doubt about it, he was an escaped convict, and they All knew he could be dangerous, but letting him go could have caused the group trouble later down the road, so they tied him to a tree, once he woke up, he refused to speak, so they got back to their usual Routine, Roxy would bring him food every night, and attempt to interrogate him, any detail about who he was, or what he was doing would have helped. Days went by then Rick approached Roxy and told her that the best solution for the escaped convict was for Him or Roxy to end him, he was escaped, and the longer he stayed at camp with them, the longer they were at risk of the Authorities finding not just the criminal, but Roxy's entire group as well. The convict Heard it all however, and To his Relief, Roxy Refused to allow Him to be murdered. Upon hearing what conspired, and that Roxy had the convicts Back, He called her over, It was time for him to talk to her. The Convict and Roxy Sat by that tree alone, while the others went about their own business, The convict Explained everything, That his name was Rick Despur, and he was on death row for setting fire to his home, his entire family died in that fire, even his infant daughter. that He escaped the confines of the prison to escape his execution for a false Imprisonment, that for the first few months he accepted his fate and wallowed in his own depression, but He refused to pay for something he didn't do. he also explained he use to work at a fast food restaurant, making minimum wage to support that family, and it as well was Burned to the ground and many people died. It all clicked, She was so stupid to be blind to it, even her friend Ally warned her. and at that moment, she could Smell burning. Fully aware now what was happening, and feeling a Twisted Deja-vu of her past, She rushed into the Treehouse, flooding with thick smoke just to be pushed back out by Allie, When She fell She Sprained her ankle and was powerless to watch the treehouse engulfed in flames, with her best friend, and traitor going down with it. After everything though, Jessie Awoke, and blamed Roxy for what had happened, and so, The convict, A victim of the pyro's stolen identity, started watching over Jessie, and they left Roxy alone. So she traveled again, by her self. Like before her kingdom started. She continued to dye her hair. occasionally sleeping in a makeshift home she's made in a abandoned school bus outside of her town.

   With her friends either abandoning her, or dead, she can't even return to those who helped her because that would put them in danger as she is still technically lab property, and the lab will always be on the hunt for her, so she's now alone again.
