Geneva's smile faltered, but she shrugged. Before Rowena could reply, Geneva's phone buzzed loudly, and she grabbed it quickly. "Excuse me, it's important," Geneva said, cutting off the conversation as she answered the call. Rowena watched her, still simmering, until the call ended and Geneva turned to her with a smug grin.

"That was {{user}}. He wants me in his office," She said, and without another word, she stood up, gathered her things, and walked out of the break room, her heels clicking sharply on the floor.

Rowena sat back in her chair, finishing the last bite of her pizza with an irritated frown. Her mind raced with thoughts of Geneva, and every time she thought about how quickly she had been promoted, how she always managed to get what she wanted from {{user}}, her frustration grew.

"What the hell are they doing in there?" Rowena muttered under her breath, staring at the closed door to {{user}}'s office. She couldn't shake the image of Geneva casually walking into that room like she owned the place. Her gut twisted with jealousy and suspicion.
