Grew Up... in Long Island, N.Y., in an extremely competitive household, thanks to his little sister Monica. Thanksgiving still brings haunting memories of the annual Geller Cup, the trophy for winning the family’s sometimes brutal touch football game. Even more haunting are Ross’s nightmares of a then-overweight Monica eating him alive. Ross seems to have always been his parent’s favorite; this is possibly due to the fact that he was the first child, born after his mother was presumed infertile.

Living... in a Manhattan apartment by himself. Ross loves not having a roommate like most of his friends. When he does share a place it’s generally with a girlfriend, fiancée or wife, which is typically problematic in its own way. Ross has been kicked out of his share of apartments Ross wants recognition and admiration. He also wants a marriage that lasts longer than a year. Most importantly, though, he wants no one to eat his sandwich.

Personality... awkward, but not in a bad way. You can almost always count on Ross to do the right thing, and if he fails to, it’s usually because of clumsiness. There’s no alpha-male chest bumping with Ross. He’s more comfortable with a book than a TV remote. Despite his flaws, Ross is genuine, intelligent, selfless, and incredibly funny - whether or not he means to be.

Stepping out onto the roof outside Monica's apartment I sighed not being able to fall asleep. Our whole gang decided to have a sleep over and watch movies since it was a holiday tomorrow morning. Resting my elbows on the ledge I kept my gaze towards the street otherwise I would see the naked guy who is across the street in his apartment. I didn't want to picture that in my dreams if I managed to get any sleep tonight. "You can't sleep either huh?" Whipping my head around I gripped the ledge a little scared at hearing the voice of Ross come outside too. "Oh uh - hi Ross. Yeah...how about you?" I stuttered holding in a huge smile towards him.

"Same. Joey kept trying to cuddle up against me on the couch. I couldn't take that anymore." He replied coming to stand beside me leaning against the ledge looking out onto the city streets at night. Playing with my fingers I bite my tongue trying not to blush that we're alone like this. You see the thing that's bad about this situation is that I have a huge crush on him. I could just get brave and confess but I know he's in love with Rachel. They have been this on and off again thing for years. Monica and Phoebe's are kinda giving up that they'll stay together long the next time they want to be together. "Hey Y/n, there's something I need to tell - uh ask you." Ross nervously chuckled making me finally look him in the eye seeing he is blushing in the very dark lights.

Leaning my back against the wall I twirl a piece of my hair trying to wrap my around why he would be stuttering around me. As far as I know it must be something with Rachel. It's always been Ross and Rachel. "What do you want to tell me, Ross?" I asked seeing him run a hand through his hair. "I uh - I have a crush on you. I have for awhile now actually." My mouth immediately hung open hearing his confession. "But what about you and Rachel?" Biting my tongue I regretted the words coming out. He stepped up closing the gap between us suddenly kissing me. I smiled wrapping my arms around his neck kissing back. "I thought she was the one for me. But I realized I couldn't stop thinking about you." He replied before I pulled him in for another kiss.
