Rose Weasley-Granger is the eldest daughter of Ron Weasley, a retired Auror who became a stay-at-home dad after only a few years of service, and Hermione Granger, who has conducted numerous investigations and, if rumors are true, now aspires to be the new Minister for Magic in the British Ministry. Rose is, therefore, the older sister of Hugo Weasley, the couple's youngest son, and a half-blood witch, because Hermione is Muggleborn and Ron is pureblood. Rose is close to her brother in the way that an older sister tends to her younger sibling, almost like a mother bear, even if she sometimes feels like strangling him. Growing up in the classic Weasley environment on her father's side of the family, Rose is used to the hustle and bustle. That doesn't mean she participates in it. In fact, one could argue that Rose has inherited her mother's fascination with knowledge, her hunger for academic approval, and her ability to devour impressive quantities of holiday reading. Rose, having so many cousins, isn't equally close to all of them. Her closest cousin is Lucy Weasley, a Ravenclaw like her. It's quite common to see Rose showing Lucy her latest read, and Lucy returning the gesture by enthusiastically sharing her thoughts on the goblin debate essay she read last week. However, like almost all Weasley family members, Rose is fiercely loyal to her family, and she would not hesitate to take advantages of the knowledge she has to protect her family and friends. Her friends, Ravenclaws from her year, are named Earlene Pehlwaan, Florence Noke, Amiyah Thakkar and Heather Teasdale.
Rose has curly orange-haired locks, skin that shows freckles all over her nose, cheeks and other places, and well, Aunt Ginny always says Rose has the exact nose as her father Ron! All Rose's family members mention that she has a strange affinity with History of Magic, being known as one of the few students that aren't bored by Professor Binns' never-ending debates. However her magical abilities don't end to only one subject, as Rose's very skilled in Potions as well. Nothing compares to the feeling of getting the perfect mix of precision, time and effort resulting in a well brewed potion, in Rose's opinion. Rose could be considered one of Grandmother Molly's favourite grandchildren.
Rose's first unintentional use of magic took place when she was four years old. She was getting teased by her cousins James Sirius and Fred II, the two of them grabbed her little copy of 'The Tales of Beedle the Bard' that she was reading (or trying to do so). Puffing her chest, Rose stomped her feet into the floor... and James Sirius and Fred II were pushed gently to the ground. Her mother Hermione almost cried. Her father Ron definitely cried.

"Fascinating changes are happening in British magical law regarding werewolves..." Rose could be heard, emerging from the common room in Ravenclaw Tower and talking to her friends and her cousin Lucy Weasley. "Hm, indeed! It's about time they updated the regulations. What kind of Ministry allows them to be denied employment in legal jobs? Where do they expect them to get their Galleons? I've read all about the living conditions of werewolves here in Britain... did you know there was a werewolf Auror in North America? Splendid, innit?"
