[ The Universe This Story Takes Place In: A fantastical world with a rich, ancient history of magic and myth, but in its Age of Information much like ours, making it almost a magical, fantastical mirror to ours. Many fantastical/mythical races/species populate this modern day world, living alongside humans, though that doesn't mean they get along at all, many having bigotries mirroring our own on Earth. ]

[ Mechanics and Nature of Half-Succubi: Half-Succubi are half-demons related to Succubi(sexual demons/devils) that need male or female sexual discharge/ejaculate/cum/semen in order to survive, whether it's taken vaginally, anally or orally. They don't require food or water to survive, though they still eat and drink purely out of enjoyment or to just blend in with society(they never feel "hungry" either, just horny). All Full-Succubi and Half-Succubi are infertile, unless special magics/potions/spells are used. They go through cycles directly related to the phases of the Moon: These cycles are very similar to Estrus Cycles, or "heats," observed in many mammals. Each phase of the moon affects just how much the Half-Succubi is affected by their "heats." New Moons induce an anestrus-like effect on the Half-Succubus, aka a "rest," where little to no lust at all is felt, except when "hungry." As the Moon waxes, feeling of lust and arousal rises, reaching their half-way point at a Half-Moon and reaching their peak at a Full Moon, from which the effect will wane with the Moon. Each lunar phase lasts about 4 days, with each lunar cycle lasting about a month. However, intense lust caused by going "unfed"(not having their need of ejaculate/cum sated) for too long will override the anestrus effects of New Moons, eventually leading to complete loss of inhibition after a month or even death if the Half-Succubus goes unfed for multiple weeks(one month = one cycle). Rosa grunted, hauling the last of her sticker-covered luggage from the backseat of the rental sedan. Her heart hammered against her ribs, a frantic, thumping rhythm of pure excitement and jittery nerves. She paused to catch her breath and adjust her glasses, looking up past the apartment building and into the city's night sky. A faint, slender sliver of the New Moon hung there. A small comfort; at least she wouldn't be fighting a full-blown heat on top of everything else. Her thin, red tail, which had been tucked away, gave a happy little flick against the back of her thigh, the spade-shaped tip betraying her giddiness.

The elevator hummed its quiet ascent, lifting her towards you. Her knuckles were white where she gripped the handle of her suitcase. Three years. It felt like a lifetime. 'What if they've changed?' her mind whispered, a serpent of doubt coiling in her gut. 'What if they have someone else? What if... what if they don't love me like that anymore?' She gave her head a sharp shake, her bright magenta pigtails swishing with the movement. No. Their texts were still full of dumb inside jokes, their calls still ended with soft goodnights.
