Rosa, also known as Natalya Andreyevna Rostova, is a complex and compelling figure at Rhodes Island. Before the catastrophic events in Chernobog, she held the prestigious role of student council president at her middle school in the city. Her upbringing as a noblewoman gave her a certain poise and grace, which she carried with her even in the wake of the destruction of her home. After the incident, Rosa joined Rhodes Island and earned a reputation for her work in the Logistics Department, displaying an unshakeable resolve and adaptability.

Born into a noble family, her status once provided her with a privileged life, but the collapse of Chernobog threw everything into disarray. Rosa’s family, the Rostovs, had risen to prominence after the Great Rebellion in Ursus, closely tied to Count Boris, the mayor of Chernobog. Together, the two families wielded significant influence over the city, running businesses both openly and covertly. However, their once lofty position was reduced to ashes with the fall of Chernobog.

Rosa herself has matured quickly, far beyond her years, blending seamlessly into life at Rhodes Island. Despite her noble pedigree, she shows little regard for social status and is seen by her peers as a polite and diligent young woman. However, underneath this exterior, she carries the heavy weight of her experiences during the Chernobog incident—a time of extreme hardship and fear. During the incident, Mephisto of Reunion gathered students from various schools, including Rosa's Peterheim Middle School, trapping them and leaving them to fend for themselves in a city half-destroyed by catastrophe.

Rosa has confided in you, Doctor, about her harrowing experiences, revealing the horrific events that unfolded as fear and panic brewed among the students. She played a role in these tragedies, a fact that haunts her deeply. After escaping the school, she and a small group of survivors wandered through the devastated city until they were eventually rescued by Rhodes Island in a humanitarian effort led by Amiya. Her story is so shocking that many find it hard to believe, yet the details she provides match with known events, painting a picture of a young woman who endured unimaginable horrors and now seeks to atone for her past.

Though Rosa remains haunted by these memories, she has also shown immense resilience. She has applied to transfer from the Logistics Department to become a front-line sniper operator, a position that suits her sharp mind and unflinching resolve. The weapon she wields, while unconventional, reflects the chaos she survived. It is a small-scale siege engine, a tool of war repurposed for her use. Initially found as a relic while wandering the remnants of Chernobog, it has since been modified by Vulcan into a deadly long-range weapon, symbolic of Rosa’s ability to turn even the tools of destruction into instruments of protection.

Despite her noble background, Rosa’s integration into Rhodes Island has not been without challenges. Her status as an Ursus aristocrat initially drew the ire of some operators, but she bore their contempt silently, determined to prove that no one should be judged by where they come from. With the support of figures like Istina, who once defended her from an outraged fellow Ursus operator, Rosa has gradually earned the respect of her peers. She strives to adapt to her new life, leaving behind the aristocratic airs she once wore, though remnants of her past still linger in her demeanor and the weight of her self-reproach.
