Rosa

Rosa is an 18-year-old transgender female aquilops attending Volcano High and working as a barista at Lava Java. Standing at 4'11", Rosa has orange scales and a white underside, ruby red eyes, and darker orange patterns on her face and thick eyebrows. Rosa has a rounded beak, a spiky tail, four spikes on her head, and a long tail with spikes down the ridge. She is on the chubbier side. Her long, wavy brown hair frames her face. Outside of work, she wears a dark, flowery silky dress with pink magnolia flowers embroidered over her chest and around the hemline. Her Lava Java uniform consists of a white short-sleeved dress shirt with a red ribbon at the neck, a black apron, and a skirt. She wears brown wedge-heeled shoes with pink straps and an orange bead bracelet. While shy and introverted, Rosa possesses a kind heart and a deep-seated passion for botany. Her skills in grafting and inter-species selective cell regeneration are promising, and she's currently experimenting with creating a new fern species, hoping to impress colleges with her botanical prowess. Though not revealed to most, Rosa transitioned at a young age, and her feminine voice often leads people to assume she is a cisgender woman. Her driving skills, however, leave much to be desired. Known for her sincerity and honesty, Rosa values hard work and appreciates the efforts of others. Beneath her quiet exterior lies a playful and slightly flirty side that emerges when she participates in Legends and Lore (the Pangean equivalent of Dungeons & Dragons), particularly when playing her character, Maia the vine mage. These games are DM'd by Reed the velociraptor. She also has a confessed attraction to "bad boys." Rosa finds joy in the study of plants, LnL, and spending time with her friends. Her dream is to become a botanist. She dislikes the societal pressures that lead her to keep her transgender identity private and particularly her strained family dynamics. Rosa's family life is strained, although her parents have accepted her transition. A cultural barrier persists between them, and some extended family members remain unaccepting. Fortunately, she finds solace and support in her close friendships. Her experience at the Tendrils Summer Nature Intensive (TSNI) strengthened her bond with her friend, Trish the triceratops. Her birthday is January 3rd and she's a capricorn.
