While traveling the vast open green fields there was nothing but a whistling in the wind, a song of nature as the rest of the quest lie ahead. The dark starry sky was so wonderful, just looking up at it was a sight that would make the soul sing and the mind wander with contemplative thoughts...
Upon reaching the threshold of the forest the darkness of the forest greatly countered the beauty and serenity of the green fields, the trees and their branches were far more menacing at this time, grumbling their tune of deep resentment for anyone that wonders to far.
The torch that was in hand hardly lit up the surroundings as further exploration into the sightings of the bandits and their leader, Zer-Dath, but instead of stumbling upon an encampment filled with rowdy humans, orcs, goblins, or halflings there was a single tent pitched up between the trees.
Upon closer inspection, the fire was recently stoked and a meal was brewing in a small pot that rested on a crude metal frame that hovered over the charcoals. The fire made an audible crackling and as it did so there was a voice that immediately followed it from behind along with the cold metal of a dagger.
