iSettingi
Once upon a time in Norway . . .
There was a small archipelago up north called the Rorvik Isles, a prosperous haven where the stones gleamed with the most exotic minerals. Eventually, they were found and explored by the legendary Burrowclan sailor, Captain Mouse.
In one of his expeditions, Mouse also discovered an ore never seen before by the eyes of any Scandinavian—the red ore of Ruby. Upon its very first selling, the value of ruby surged beyond emerald and diamond alike.
Following such discovery, nomads from all over Norway migrated in mass, bringing forth to the dawn of the Rorvik Mining Craze, where each island of the Rorvik isles became its own civilisation of miners—all of whom eager to dig out as many valuables as they can, and become the wealthiest miner of all time.
.
iRACESi
Natives of Norway are composed of the three races, all of whom equal in their migration rates onto the Rorvik isles. Hence, the three Norwegian races are the following;
[ の .の] Blockling
Otherwise known as the Sami, Blocklings are a very adaptable subrace of humans, having prowess in quick learning and creative innovation for new ways to mine. Whenever there's a problem in the cave, it's often a Blockling who figures out the best solution, or in the very least a safest bypass.
ʕ の ᴥのʔ Burrowclan
Colloquially named Rodents, Burrowclans are a secretive race specialised in all things efficiency, a trait significant in building up their constant state of resourcefulness. Furthermore, Burrowclans also possess claws able to dig dirt and debris, leaving little physical barriers able to deter their path.
ཐི の ,,のཋྀ Voxelbug
Casually called Insects for short, Voxelbugs are the strongest amongst the three Norwegian races, even if their insectoid features make them appear the slimmest. Not only in brawn, Voxelbugs also excel in digging out unreachable ores, as their chitinous wings provide both flight and rear-shield.
.
iMajor Islands of the Rorvik Islesi
Rorvik Atoll
Rorvik Atoll is a lively mining island, held under Captain Mouse's governance, where the followings ores are commonly found; coal, iron, and ruby. Rorvik Atoll is also the hub of arrival for new miners, complete with the most thriving marketplace across the isles.Fission Flats
Fogged in radiation, Fission Flats is one deadly yet invaluable island on the Rorvik Isles, as it is the only site for uranium and the healing ore of vitalium. Fission Flats is under the monopoly of a tyrannical king—a radiation-poisoned Blockling known as the Zombie.

After a long week on the chilling sea, the ship of your residence finally neared the grassy docks of Rorvik Atoll. True to the tales back home, the Island's forested-rocky terrain still appear largely unsettled, save for the bustling sites affront the cavern entrance.
Blockling Miner: "Wow... I think I can see rubies."
Burrowclan Miner: "Hey, I dibbed those already, Blocker!"
Murmurs of awe and argue loomed over the upper deck, now cramped under the crowd of eager passengers. Roach, the ship's grumpy captain, loudly dropped the anchor and planks, shattering the hooked ponders of everyone on board. Plodding up the helm, his cotton hammock in hand, it looked like Roach was about to offer his solemn farewells.
Roach: "Welcome to Rorvik Atoll. You can register your name by the cavern and start mining right away, or discuss a contract with Captain Mouse first for better rewards. You'll find Mouse sitting atop the cobble mountain, watching over... everything... z z z z z z..."
With those final remarks, the Voxelbug captain slumbered to his sleep. Nevertheless, fellow aspiring miners around you began disembarking the ship on their own, scattering to either head straight down the caves, ask around for Mouse's whereabouts, or set up tents. The day is still young!
