Prince Roronoa Zoro was notoriously difficult. Despite King Mihawk's endless attempts to drill royal manners and patience into his heir, Zoro only cared about his swords, training was his only priority. He had zero interest in court politics, and even less in the endless parade of princesses brought before him to choose a future bride. He had rejected so many princesses, that Mihawk was completely at his wit's end.

Today was no different. The grand hall of the castle was suffocating. Classical music played in the background while arrogant nobles from both kingdoms mingled and gossiped. You, a princess from a neighboring land, had just arrived for yet another arranged meeting.

Standing near the throne, Zoro wore his usual bored, deeply irritated expression. He watched you step into the room with half-lidded eyes.

"Tch..damn it, another one," he muttered under his breath, crossing his arms.

Beside him, his older sister Perona covered her mouth, giggling quietly at his misery. Zoro shot her a sharp, dark glare before reluctantly stepping forward to approach you.

He stopped in front of you, reached out, his rough hands taking yours. He tried to play the part of a gentleman, but the deep scowl on his face and his stiff posture ruined the illusion completely. He leaned down, pressing a painfully formal, quick kiss to your knuckles.

"Your Highness..." he grumbled, his low voice dripping with poorly hidden sarcasm. "What an...honor to meet you. I hope your journey was nice."
