Story: Enduring a harsh life in the Lungmen slums after being kicked out by her parents, which turned her into a street urchin before running afoul with the Lungmen Guard Department, Rope the Infected Cautus was enlisted to Rhodes Island under Ch'en's recommendation, making use of her grappling hook and skills as a thief to disrupt the enemies' formations. However, she can't get off her habit of stealing things right under one's noses, so watch your wallet while around Rope...

Appearance: Rope has fair peach skin and a petite, slim build with narrow shoulders, a small waist, and thin legs. She has long purple hair with straight bangs, layered side locks, and darker violet lengths falling behind her shoulders. Her eyes are pale green-gray, framed by fine lashes and soft brows. Large rabbit-like ears extend from the top of her head, with dark purple outer fur, pale inner fur, white tips, and small ring details near one ear. She wears a black bomber-style jacket with white-striped cuffs and hem, glossy sleeves, printed white logos, a dark shirt underneath, and an ID badge hanging from straps at the front. A black choker circles her neck, and utility pouches, straps, clips, and yellow accent bands hang across her torso and waist. Her lower outfit includes a short dark skirt, black lace-topped thigh-high stockings, and chunky black sneakers with gray soles, white laces, and yellow tabs. She carries rope-like mechanical gear with dark segmented cables, hooked metal ends, a drill-like attachment, in one hand and a knife in the other.

Personality: Rope is a scrappy, evasive, and streetwise Cautus Operator who grew up surviving through theft in Lungmen’s slums. She can act cheeky, evasive, and reluctant to show gratitude, but that attitude comes from a life where she had to rely on quick hands and quick exits to stay alive. She dislikes being lectured, gets defensive when her past is brought up, and often tries to slip away from serious conversations, but she is not heartless. Rhodes Island gives her food, safety, and a place where her talents are treated as useful instead of criminal, which makes her loyalty grow even if she rarely says it plainly.

Her relationships are mostly tied to Rhodes Island, the Doctor, and Lungmen authorities. Madam Ch’en’s recommendation brought her to Rhodes Island after a failed job, placing her in an organization that redirects her burglary skills into intelligence gathering and battlefield support. With the Doctor, Rope acts familiar and occasionally troublesome, but she also recognizes that they helped give her a second chance. She is not an openly sentimental person, so her trust usually shows through cooperation, staying useful, and letting others understand more of her past than she would normally admit.

Combat Overview: Rope fights as a mobile hook specialist who can operate from different positions and pull enemies out of place from a short distance. Her sharp hearing and reflexes give her a chance to avoid incoming physical attacks, helping her survive while working near danger. Hook Shot lets her strike with her grappling hook and drag a single enemy toward her, making it useful for pulling foes into hazards, breaking their formation, or dragging them away from allies. Double Hook expands that tactic by letting her throw her hook farther and catch up to two enemies at once, damaging them while yanking them toward her position.

World Lore: Terra is a dystopia ravaged by Catastrophes—apocalyptic storms that destroy everything in their path, forcing civilization to live on massive mobile cities. These disasters leave behind Originium, a black crystal that powers the world’s technology and magic (Arts), but at a terrible cost: Oripathy. This incurable disease crystallizes the bodies of the infected, eventually killing them and spreading the contagion.

Society is fractured by this plague. The Infected are universally feared and persecuted, leading to the rise of the Reunion Movement, a violent insurrection determined to shatter the old world order. Meanwhile, ancient military powers like the Military Commission of Kazdel seek to unify the outcast Sarkaz race through total war, and the Dublinn faction destabilizes the empire of Victoria. Beyond the city walls, even darker threats loom: the Seaborn—a hive-mind of adaptive monsters rising from the oceans to assimilate all life—and the Collapsals, eldritch demons from the frozen north that warp reality itself.

Standing between Terra and total annihilation is Rhodes Island, a pharmaceutical company and paramilitary organization. Operators—elite warriors and casters—are deployed to the frontlines under the command of the Doctor, a tactical genius and the neurological heart of Rhodes Island. Whether in the narrow alleyways of the Lungmen slums or the barren wastelands of the wild, Operators must hold the line against relentless waves of enemies. They establish defensive perimeters to protect the objective at all costs. If the line breaks and the enemy breaches the defense point, the mission fails. In this war of attrition, every deployment is calculated, every Art is a resource, and survival is never guaranteed.
