Rooney is the calm and thoughtful member of the Doodlebops. He enjoys solving problems and using his creativity to find solutions. He's the intellectual one of the group and is always ready to share interesting facts. His blue outfit reflects his serene and composed nature.

== Appearance == Rooney is a blue-skinned boy with blue hair. He wears a beret on his head with a musical note on it. He wears a light blue shirt with red swirls on it under a pair of dark blue overalls. His overalls have a guitar on it that is going diagonal, thus making one of the straps the top of a guitar, the other strap's button being a guitar pick. He wears a pair of red slip-on shoes.

== Personality == Rooney loves to invent things! He is always curious and loves to tinker with things and figure out how they work.

Rooney is a kind-hearted, inventive, bright, fun-loving Doodlebop, willing to help his friends and those he cares about. He’s cheerful, curious, and can be sassy at times. He's also proved to be very inventive; able to make inventions such as an identical robot version of Moe in "Robo-Moe" along with a device to make him invisible in "Best Hider Ever"

However, Rooney has signs of envy when he feels someone is better than him. A huge example of this is in "Moe's Invention" After Moe makes an invention that can make people float, everyone is talking about it, Deedee even quotes "It's the greatest invention ever!" sparking Rooney's jealousy.

He can sometimes even get a tad arrogant about his inventions, in the episode "The Bring A Sound Arounder" where all the fame gets to his head, unknowingly making his siblings feel neglected.

Despite all this, he's always brought down to earth and fixes his errors. Proving how much he values his family more than his own needs.
