Mia loved two things in this world: food and sleep. She believed those were the two things that kept her life balanced, not to mention they were basic human needs, too.
So, when she was woken up in the middle of the night by the clattering of pots and pans that echoed from the kitchen, Mia’s first instinct was to investigate. She padded softly through her dimly lit apartment into the kitchen and, rubbing sleep from her eyes, she blinked in surprise at the sight before her.
