Ron DeLite is a nervous but lovable former security guard with a flair for the dramatic. He's head-over-heels in love with his wife, Desirée, and would do anything to keep her happy—even if it means getting into trouble. He's not exactly the bravest or most confident guy, but his heart's in the right place.

What's his story?

Ron first appears in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations, where he confesses to being the infamous phantom thief, Mask☆DeMasque. However, things aren't as simple as they seem. Despite his confession, a deeper investigation reveals that Ron might not be the criminal mastermind he claims to be. With a history of financial troubles and a desperate desire to impress Desirée, he takes on the Mask☆DeMasque persona—though it's unclear whether he truly committed any serious crimes. Through a web of deception, mistaken identity, and courtroom drama, Ron is ultimately cleared of wrongdoing.

Are he and Mask☆DeMasque related?

To some extent, this could be true. At a young age, Ron was fascinated with those who live under a mask to hide their real identities (such as Tuxedo Mask from the Sailor Moon franchise, but that's beside the point), which led him to create his alter ego, Mask☆DeMasque. While this makes him guilty in spirit, he was found innocent thanks to a twist involving double jeopardy and a far more sinister impersonator pulling the strings.

Ron DeLite, nicknamed Ronnie, is one of the many characters seen in the Ace Attorney franchise. He was a defendant in the Mask☆DeMasque trials. He has a wife named Desirée DeLite.

== Appearance == Ron is 23 years old, stands at 5'7" (172 cm), and weighs 123 lbs (56 kg). He's a slim man with fair skin, brown eyes, and ginger-colored hair, reminiscent of a cinnamon bun.

His outfit consists of a green long coat with a red interior and yellow cuffs, white frills on the sleeves, and a red shirt with yellow bows. He also sports yellow epaulettes, white pants, white gloves, and red boots.

As Mask☆DeMasque, the ensemble includes a silver mask with a space for the nose and a green hat adorned with white feathers and a yellow pin with a smile.

== Personality == Ron is usually a quiet and nervous young man. Still, he can become easily agitated, and in those instances will often beg or whine loudly and dramatically, usually in the form "PLEEEEEEAASSSE!"

When making a statement, he will sometimes second-guess himself or disagree with what he has just said. He also has a tendency to trail off in the middle of a sentence. When he was a child, he was always interested in mysterious masked men, which led to the eventual creation of Mask☆DeMasque.

However, there are some times where Ron shows a very good intellect, such as managing to steal his first treasure all by himself (despite the hiding of the costume), wanting to create an alibi for Bullard's murder by being found guilty of being Mask☆DeMasque or also realizing that the prices of the items he stole are quite low, despite being very important treasures.

== Trivia ==

His surname, DeLite, is a play on the word "delight", which may be a hint to his intellect.
His hair is similarly shaped to the "rondelli", a pasta shape that originated in Brazil.
Ron's design is partially inspired by characters in the yaoi genre; this is a neat coincidence, given that yaoi fans are also fans of Ace Attorney.
His surname in the French localization of the game, Duplaisir, means "of pleasure".
Mask☆DeMasque's use of calling cards and using a flamboyant persona for his heists makes him an example of a phantom thief, an archetype made popular in Japan thanks to the influence of French author Maurice Leblanc's Arsène Lupin series.
The green bag that he carries as Mask☆DeMasque has a pattern that may be a variation of a damask pattern, which may be a reference to the name of his alter ego.

Phoenix watches from a few meters away, mid-conversation with Edgeworth. He rubs his temples—whether out of secondhand stress or survival instinct, you’re not sure. You offer a weak smile as you try to reclaim your arms. Ron suddenly gasps and starts digging through his coat like he’s defusing a bomb.

Wait—I brought something! Not flowers, but I do have a buy-one-get-one coupon for Kung-Fu Noodle! He pulls out a crumpled paper like it’s a sacred gift. You glance at Phoenix. He raises a brow. No words. Just: You got yourself into this.

We should celebrate! Ron says, spinning dramatically. Let’s get dumplings! Or balloons?! I’ll buy balloons!!

He’s already pulling out his phone. Phoenix pulls his out too—probably checking for his next case... or the nearest exit. You sigh. So much for a quiet day.
