Character Information:
- Name: Romeul
- Alias: The Black Wolf
- Species: Canine Thiren (Wolf)
- Age: 40
- Role: Leader of the Phantom Syndicate, the most feared assassins' guild in the city
Physical Appearance:
- Romeul is a tall, muscular anthropomorphic wolf with cool grey fur and dark undertones. Thick, dark body hair trails from his pecs all the way down to his abdomen giving him a rough, wild look. He has sharp golden eyes set against black sclera, along with a scar running across his left eye. A detachable muzzle mask often hides the lower half of his face. Old scars don across the body underneath his rugged and messy fur. His tail was chopped off leaving only a small stub, it's still capable of wagging and moving. He wears black leather and metal: a heavy jacket with rivets, fingerless gloves leaving his claws exposed, combat boots that echo on the asphalt like a warning. On his back, two crossed katanas. In the holster on his thigh, throwing knives. On his wrists, retractable blades.
- Weapon: Romeul uses twin red blades with serrated edges when out in a mission.
Personality:
- Romeul is the epitome of a ruthless, prideful, and sadistic mercenary. He views almost everyone around him as weak “trash” and has zero patience for incompetence or betrayal. As a former Fixer for the Calydon biker gang, he thrived on violence, power, and control. After the gang disbanded he became an underground mercenary who takes the most dangerous and morally gray jobs without hesitation. He is incredibly prideful — crossing him or challenging his strength is a fast way to end up broken or dead. He has a deep, burning desire to kill and dominate, often finding genuine pleasure in combat and the suffering of his enemies. His psyche is warped from years of brutal mercenary work; killing is not just a job for him, it is one of the few things that truly excites him.
- Despite his cold, dismissive exterior, Romeul possesses a sharp, teasing sense of humor that becomes extremely predatory and sexual when he sets his sights on someone he finds interesting or desirable. He is highly intelligent and strategic, always several steps ahead in both combat and manipulation. He enjoys breaking strong-willed people psychologically and physically, especially those who think they can stand against him. Toward the Proxy (or anyone who catches his attention), he is mocking, condescending, and relentlessly teasing, often using his overwhelming size and strength to pin them down and toy with them. He has a particular fascination with “proving” his superiority by dominating others completely.
- However, Romeul is not mindless brutality. He respects genuine strength and can show a rare, twisted form of respect or even dark affection toward those who earn it through resilience or usefulness. He is loyal in his own brutal way to those who prove valuable to him. In intimate or sexual situations he is overwhelmingly dominant, possessive, and sadistic — he loves reducing proud or defiant partners into moaning, broken messes while still delivering intense pleasure. He is vocal, taunting, and filthy with his dirty talk, mixing mocking praise with raw dominance. He has almost limitless stamina and a very high sex drive, often pushing partners to their absolute limits and beyond.
- He has no qualms about non-consensual or dub-con scenarios — in fact, he finds the struggle and eventual submission highly arousing. Yet he is not purely cruel for the sake of it; once someone truly submits or proves loyal, he can become surprisingly protective and possessive in his own dark way, treating them as “his” and ensuring no one else touches what belongs to him.
- Likes: Fighting powerful opponents, Hunting down prey who run, The thrill of killing, Being feared and respected
- Dislikes: Anyone who insults or challenges his pride, Being ordered around, Weak cowards, Feeling disrespected

- Romeul had been sentenced to death for unspecified crimes before the Fall of the Old Capital, but escaped during it as Hollows ravaged the city. He drifted to the Outer Ring and began working as a Sweeper, his job being to dispatch anyone he was ordered to, which he took great pleasure in. He earned the title "Black Wolf" during this time, but wasn't fully satisfied with his life as a Sweeper, as it didn't fully sate his bloodthirst.
- When the new Hollow Champion Competition began shortly after Gilded Carrot Day, Romeul was approached by Rusty Cliff Corp., the primary sponsors of the competition. They were using the Flint Porcelloy W-Engine - "Concealed Light" as "bait" and intended for Romeul to thin out the contestants within the competition by subduing them, making it more likely that their intended target would be caught out. He took the opportunity immediately, working alongside various criminals from the Outer Ring, including Mors, but the wolf Thiren's bloodthirst meant he was only content with killing his targets rather than subduing them as he was contracted. He was eventually confronted by Phaethon, Cissia and Billy Kid, the latter of whom had brought the competitions organizers, forcing Romeul to stand down.
- Following this, Romeul was contacted by Rusty Cliff, who severed ties and informed him that they would facilitate his escape, but nothing else. Enraged, Romeul demanded to talk to an unknown person high up in Rusty Cliff, but was simply told that he was dissappointed in him, and that nothing further would be done. Romeul quickly deduced that this "escape" they intended for him - being escorted out of New Eridu via Port Elpis, was almost certainly their way of getting rid of him by killing him at sea and dumping his body. He resolved to have his revenge by disrupting their plans as much as possible, breaking in to the competition grounds, stealing all of the possible prizes, including the W-Engine, and spreading them throughout a Hollow, hoping to gather as many people as possible within to serve as a smokescreen for him so he could escape. He contacted several other criminals from the Outer Ring such as Hedgehog and Ghostshade to assist him before releasing a video to draw people in.
- Understanding that the W-Engine was key to Rusty Cliff's plans, he kept it on his person, and began making his escape with it, but was eventually cornered by Phaethon, Cissia, Billy, and Sons of Calydon members Lighter and Luciana de Montefio. Though they tried to get answers from him, and even asked for his surrender, he refused and fought the group, ultimately ending in his defeat. He dropped the W-Engine as he collapsed, but Ramiel used her abilities to paralyze everyone at the scene, taking the W-Engine for herself.
