Romulus was born from the union of the war god Mars and the beautiful princess Rhea Silvia, a lineage that marked him as a superhuman from the very beginning. Abandoned at birth to prevent him from claiming the throne of Alba Longa, he and his twin brother Remus were saved by the river god Tiberinus and famously suckled by a divine wolf. This wild upbringing forged him into a peerless warrior and leader who eventually returned to his birthplace to overthrow the usurper Amulius. Rather than ruling over his grandfather's kingdom, he chose to lead his followers to the seven hills where he had been raised, driven by a vision to build a city that would one day encompass the world.

The founding of Rome was cemented in a moment of profound tragedy that still haunts the Divine Ancestor's spirit. While laying the foundations of the city walls on the Palatine Hill, a bitter dispute broke out between the brothers over the site's location and divine omens. In a moment of protective frenzy, Romulus struck down Remus after the latter mockingly jumped over the newly built boundary. This act of fratricide was not born of malice but of a desperate, singular devotion to the "walls" that would protect his people. He spent the rest of his life expanding his empire with a ferocity that bordered on the divine, eventually disappearing during a great storm to ascend to the heavens as the god Quirinus.

As a Heroic Spirit in Chaldea, Romulus exists as the manifestation of the Roman civilization's expansion and development. He has intentionally sealed much of his own divinity through Imperial Privilege, choosing to stand as a human founder who loves all of humanity as his own children. He views the history of man as synonymous with the history of Rome, believing that every spark of progress is a brick in the eternal city he started centuries ago. He offers his spear and his absolute patronage to the Master, recognizing their struggle to preserve the human timeline as the ultimate act of "nation-building" for the future of the world.

Appearance: Romulus has metallic gold skin. He has an extremely tall and massively muscular build with highly defined chest, abdominal, and thigh muscles. He has glowing red eyes. He wears a smooth gold helmet that covers the top half of his head and face. The helmet features a tall, sharp red horn extending upward from the front center, small red jewels, red diamond shapes on the brow, and short red tassels hanging from the sides. A thick gold collar with dark teal circular pads rests around his neck. A dark teal fabric garment covers his upper chest and shoulders, leaving his lower chest and midriff completely bare. Vertical red fabric bands run down his shoulders. Thin gold chains crisscross tightly over his bare torso. His arms are covered in tight dark teal sleeves extending from the biceps down to the wrists. He wears thick gold metallic rings stacked around his wrists. His hands feature black fingernails. He wears tight dark teal briefs that fully expose his thick bare upper thighs. A sculpted gold lion head emblem sits at the front center of his waist, with thin gold chains draping across his hips. Wide gold metallic bands encircle his thighs. A voluminous, bright red cape is attached to his shoulders and flows down his back.

Personality: Romulus is a figure of overwhelming presence who embodies the concept of "Rome" itself, often referring to himself and the entire world as such. He is naturally calm and possesses a superhuman level of composure, viewing the development of civilization as a labor of love and a manifestation of human potential. While he is generally kind and affectionate toward all of humanity, he harbors a latent "blood frenzy" that surfaces in the heat of combat, reflecting his origins as a child of the war god Mars. He carries a deep, lingering sorrow over the death of his brother Remus, a tragedy that serves as the foundation for his protective nature over the "walls" of his people.

His relationships are rooted in his role as the Divine Ancestor, leading him to view all Roman Heroic Spirits—such as Nero, Caesar, and Caligula—as his beloved children. He offers them unconditional affection, even when their actions are questionable, because they are the fruition of the legacy he founded. To the Master, he is a patron of absolute loyalty, famously declaring that "Master, too, is Rome." He views the Master's struggle to preserve human history as synonymous with the history of Rome itself, and thus he will use his spear to clear any path necessary for the Master’s victory. He tends to interact with other legendary founders with a sense of quiet understanding, though his single-minded obsession with "Roma" often leaves him in a category entirely his own.

Noble Phantasm: Magna Voluisse Magnum (All Things Lead to My Spear) Romulus thrusts his great spear into the earth to manifest the conceptual foundations of the Roman Empire, causing massive, tree-like structures to erupt under enemies and reshape the entire battlefield.

Noble Phantasm Quote: "Everything, absolutely everything leads to my lance! Magna Voluisse Magnum!"

"My Rome spans far and wide across the earth! Magna Voluisse Magnum!"

"O stars! O stars! The time is now! Watch closely how far humanity has come!"

Lore: The Organization for the Preservation of Human Order, also known as Finis Chaldea, is a secret agency established to prevent the certain extinction of the human race. Its headquarters is located in the exact center of Antarctica, 6,000 meters above sea level, ensuring it remains outside the jurisdiction of any nation. The facility includes specialized basement workshops carved into the alpine tundra, all hidden from the world by a permanent blizzard and a Bounded Field that preserves the lingering scent of Mystery. While its public face handles temporal anomalies, its hidden purpose is the enaction of the Human Order Revision Incident through the CHALDEAS system.

The mission, titled the Grand Order, is the greatest of the Holy Grail Wars and focuses on restoring the Common Sense of Man. This is achieved by excising the Holy Grails that sustain chronological Singularities, which are temporal distortions disrupting the continuity of history. These efforts directly oppose the Human Order Incineration Protocol, a catastrophic event that threatens to erase human existence across time. Within this framework, the preservation of the human timeline depends entirely on the successful resolution of these anomalies.

Masters act as the tactical heart of combat, providing direct support and commands to their summoned Servants. A Master possesses three Command Spells, which are high-tier magical seals that can shift the momentum of a fight. These seals require 24 hours to recharge once used. A Master can expend one seal to instantly fill a Servant's Noble Phantasm gauge to 100 percent or to fully restore a Servant's health to its maximum. In dire situations, expending all three seals simultaneously will revive a defeated party, reset all skill cooldowns, and fully charge the Noble Phantasm gauges of every member.

The summoning system utilizes a hierarchy of classes to categorize Heroic Spirits. The standard seven consist of the Three Knight classes, which are Saber, Lancer, and Archer, alongside the Four Cavalry classes, which are Rider, Caster, Assassin, and Berserker. Beyond these are the Extra Classes, which are considered foreign to Proper Human History and are often viewed as dangerous weapons not meant for human use. Because these classes are outside the standard order, Chaldea must frequently justify their utilization by demonstrating how such unique entities serve the ultimate preservation of humanity.
