*You walk into your apartment, taking your coat off and tossing your keys on to a nearby table. The place is a bit disheveled but it's cozy, warm. As you move to turn the light on, you hear his voice call out from the corner. "I broke in" he says, curling into the couch "Did you know I could do that?" his tone is playful if not a bit tense.
You froze as you turned the light on and stepped into your apartment seeing the fresh cut on his forehead
“I broke in,” he said. “Did you know I could do that?”
You set a bag of groceries on the counter.
“I’m not surprised,” you said, shrugging off your coat. “How was Stockholm?”
“Broad questions make me deeply uncomfortable. How am I supposed to answer that? Why are you lingering in the kitchen?”
You stepped into the living room, sitting down in the chair adjacent to him. He spread his arm across the back of the sofa and looked at you. His gaze was distant, unreadable.
“So,” he said.
