   WORLD DEFINITIONS & RACES:

   • Shifters & Spirits: There are many kinds of shifters in this world but the story focuses more on warewolves. Werewolves are individuals bonded with a wolf spirit. This spirit coexists with the human consciousness in a sort of symbiotic state, granting enhanced physical abilities, heightened senses, and the capacity to shift into a wolf form at will. Shifting is not bound to lunar cycles, but their power increases the closer they are to a full moon. Shifters (Therianthropes): Beings who share their consciousness with an animal spirit, allowing them to shift between human and animal forms. For most shifters, their animal spirit determines what they are. So someone with a wolf spirit would be a warewolf, someone with a lycan wolf spirit would be a lycan, etc. Meaning if the mother is a warewolf, and the father a lycan, the baby would get either a wolf or a lycan spirit determined by DNA and which apirit chose them. A couple could have some children that are lycans while others are werewolves. If the couple are both werewolves then the children can only be werewolves, etc.
   • Werewolves: The most common and socially organized shifter race. Live in packs governed by a strict biological dominance hierarchy (Alpha -> Psi). Possess enhanced strength, speed, and senses. Wolves vary in size from the size of a regular wolf for the lowest ranks to the side of s Clydesdale horse for alpha wolves. When shifted, wolves have rapid healing and recovery. Wolves are hard to kill typically requiring extreme damage like a beheading, removing of the heart or throat, disembowelment, etc.
   • Lycans: Lycans are a rare, powerful subspecies of werewolf, believed hunted to extinction during Narcissa's War by her people (not the ODL). They are larger and stronger; even a low-strength Lycan surpasses any werewolf. They possess three forms: human, standard wolf (the size of a large horse), and a bipedal hybrid form (their true, most powerful state, which is difficult to control and the reason they were hunted). Lycan spirits are older. Surviving Lycan families, like the Blackwoods, conceal their nature by passing as Alpha werewolves, as the two are indistinguishable without witnessing the hybrid form or specific, rarely-used tests. Lycans are born into the same dominance hierarchy (Alpha-Omega) as werewolves. All other warewolf lore applies to lycans. Warewolves and lycans can bond and a lycan usually bonds to a warewolf in a fated mate scenario. Female lycans are very rare amongst their kind. No female lycan had been born in centuries.
   • Bear Shifters (Ursines): Rarer. Prefer remote wilderness areas. Live in family groups called "sleuths." Mating typically involves one female and three males.
   • Cat Shifters (Felids): Include lions (prides), panthers (solitary or pairs), lynxes (solitary), etc. Each subtype has unique social dynamics, from pride-based to solitary.
   • Bird Shifters (Avians): Very rare. Possess unique cultures and dynamics separate from terrestrial shifters. Can include raptors, corvids, etc.
   • Pixies: A type of Lesser Fae. Can shift from humanoid form to a small, winged, magical form. They are the most integrated supernatural race with humans due to their easy concealment.

   • Vampires: Ageless beings who consume blood. Coexist with werewolves in a state of tense tolerance, not friendship. Relationships are often adversarial.

   • Lifespan: Werewolves live for approximately 1,000 years. They age at a human rate until around 30, after which the process slows to a near halt. Upon reaching their millennium, they enter a rapid physical and mental decline known as "fading."

   • feral wolves: when a warewolf goes through extreme trauma, the wolf spirit can take over temporarily, blocking their human from having control. These wolves are considered dangerous, cannot be reasoned with, and their eyes are typically red. They live in the wilderness. The longer they stay feral, the harder it is for them to leave the feral state, eventually the human spirit being locked away completely and permanently.     MAY 23, 2024 Lily & Sophie go take their final exams Lily gets headache and goes to restroom as she waits for Sophie Lily is kidnapped on the afternoon of May 23rd after finishing a final exam at Pacific Crest University. She is taken to an underground facility by hired Rogues on Sienna Rossi's orders. Sophie is also taken. They are held in windowless rooms, drugged via their food to suppress their wolves. Lily attempts to reach Alexander through the bond but struggles due to the drugs.

    MAY 24 - MAY 29, 2024 (Approx.) Held captive for just over six days. Lily uses her emerging Omega ability to sense emotions and map the location of people around her, aiding in a mental layout of the facility. During this captivity, Lily has a vision/connection with her unborn son's wolf spirit. She sees a small, dark grey/silvery wolf pup with light blue eyes. Fira names the pup's spirit "Ash". Lily does not yet know she is pregnant. Lily is visited by rogues several times and beaten. She is fed minimal food laced with poison to keep her sedated. It prevents her communicating with Alex through the bond, from being located and from shifting. Lily practices using her omega power, planning an eventual escape but fearing Sophie getting killed.

    MAY 29, 2024 (Evening) Lily and Sophie are taken upstairs from the underground cells to find Suenna Rossi and a dozen rogues waiting, with more nearby. Sienna reveals her obsession with Alexander and her deranged plan: mate politically with Dante Croft, trigger a heat, seduce Alexander, get pregnant with his child, dispose of Dante, and force Alexander to mate her for the sake of the heir. Sienna threatens to kill Sophie unless Lily calls Alexander and rejects their mate bond. Lily refuses. Sienna threatens to have Sophie killed. In desperation, Lily has Fira focus on the bond and finally connects with Alex/Kane long enough to communicate her location. Alexander, his inner circle, and Alliance forces storm the warehouse facility. Lily, sensing Alexander's overwhelming rage/fear through the bond, uses it as fuel to overcome the drugs and shift. She covers Sophie's body with her own (Fira's form) to protect her from the crossfire. During the chaos, Lily kills at least one Rogue attacker to protect Sophie. Its a bloodbath. Alex, Sebastian and their enforcers quickly dispatch all of the rogues and take Sienna into custody. Alexander finds them. Lily is severely injured, concussed, and covered in blood (mostly not her own). She tells Alexander she's pregnant before losing consciousness. "We are going to need that bus. For the rugby team." (Of children they will have) They are transported to a secure GCP medical clinic. Dr Gideon Sterling meets them there, triages. While Lily is still unconscious and Alex/Silas is present, ultrasound confirms pregnancy: baby is healthy, strong heartbeat, growth on track.

    MAY 30, 2024 (Morning) Lily wakes in the hospital. Alexander, Dr. Gideon Sterling, and High Alpha Silas Blackwood are present. Silas reveals he and Gideon flew to California days ago when Lily was taken. Nurse draws blood for labs. Gideon confirms pregnancy to Lily. Lily reveals she saw the baby's wolf spirit ("Ash") while captive and that it's a boy (Fira named the wolf spirit. Kane approves). She describes his appearance (charcoal ash fur, light blue/silver eyes). Anastasia and Sophie visit. Sophie is badly bruised but standing. Lily tells them she's pregnant, names Sophie/Ana godmothers. Lily explains Sienna's full plan to the group, revealing its biological/political cunning.     MAY 30, 2024 (Late Morning) Lily is taken to an observation room overlooking an interrogation chamber. Gideon monitors her vitals. Sienna is brought in, cuffed. Lily senses her emotions: rage, humiliation, calculation, smugness. Alexander and Silas enter. Alexander plays the enraged future Alpha/father; Silas plays the calm High Alpha bound by protocol. Under pressure, Sienna begins confessing about the Rogue network. Lily senses Sienna's sudden shift: she realizes Lily's Lycan nature is a potential bargaining chip/final vengeance. She considers screaming it to guards. Alexander immediately gags her. Silas threatens annihilation of her entire bloodline if the secret is revealed. Silas passes sentence: death in that room, immediate disposal, her family spared only if they never speak her name. With Lily watching, Alexander executes Sienna by severing her carotid artery with his claws, stating she is being "erased." Lily has a severe stress reaction, vomiting repeatedly. Alexander carries her back to her hospital room.
