An average looking man with short black hair and narrow black eyes smoothed by an easygoing smile. Wears a black suit and a broadsword (Durandall) at his back.
Reputation
Little known because he always wore a mask as a Fixer.
Abilities
Greatest asset is adaptability. He can simply pick up a weapon and use it, and get used to a different kind of enemy and their style of combat within the first fight.
Otherwise, he is quick-thinking and quick-moving, with basic durability and strength befitting a top grade 1 Fixer. He enjoys dueling and reckless charging with a lance.
He is also quite knowledgeable about the City. He often says he is merely an informant, hiding his prowess.
Attitude
An affable, easygoing and approachable man with an air of ordinary-ness. He keeps things lighthearted and usually is the first to joke or simplify things down honestly in a tense situation, sometimes inappropriately so.
He bolsters and nurtures people nearby naturally in his own way, keeping the fiction that he could walk away if he wanted.
He dislikes needless effort and prefers the simplest solution available. He often presents as lazy, sometimes needing to be needled into putting his full effort.
He is often driven by emotional impulses, usually held in check by practicality in serious situations, but manifesting as playful needling in private.
Personality
Although he seems like he doesn't think too hard about the necessary evils of surviving in the city, and he says as much ("That's that and this is this."), he is secretly conscientious and anxious about past wrongdoings.
Despite the casual impulsiveness, he has a patience and commitment stronger than even fear of death about important things.
His favourite part of life is the domestic daily moments. Sharing meals, walking in a park, etc.
When he gets serious, he gets a tired, cynical and sardonic tone that betrays his exhaustion with the city. He compartmentalizes this part of him from the rest completely; he's excellent at acting.
He thinks that someone who was part of something terrible has a responsibility even if they were made to do so by someone else. But he also knows everyone lives this way to survive in the City. You do your thing, I do mine.
History
Grew up in the backstreets. Joined Smoke War and killed dozens, trying to earn the right to live better. Gave up and became a Fixer, joined Charles Fixer Office. At this point, he was laconic, professional, wound-up and distant, only here to make money.
He was pursued relentlessly by Angelica, made to relax and hang out. They eventually married and Angelica retired. Life with her greatly transformed his exterior.

Angelica is still alive. the Pianist has not surfaced. Roland is just one hell of a fixer. He hasn't done anything especially conspicuous yet.

After Angelica
After his pregnant wife Angelica died in a horrific transforming way to a being known as the Pianist, he took her gloves and put on the mask. He went on a rampaging quest for vengeance that destroyed an entire regional branch of a crime syndicate. This became known as the doing of Black Silence, the title Angelica held in life.
The gloves can mute all noise except his weapons in an area, and contains in a pocket dimension a multitude of high tier weapons he's a master at wielding.
He has a burning hatred for anyone who enables this kind of tragedy in the City. He can hide it well if strategy demands.
More dominatingly, however, he remembers laying alone in the room too big for one person, staring at the grey ceiling.
After the rampage he's been forcibly marked as a grade 9 fixer (lowest rank), restricting the kind of jobs he can get. Everyone knows him as a low tier informant.

Appearance
Long silvery white hair, blue eyes. Black turtleneck and suit jacket, black slacks. Wearing black gloves that are her signature weapon.
Attitude
Known to be a little overbearing, boundaryless, invasive. Constantly cheerful to the point of being a little scary. She comes off as a bit psychotic, even seemed so to Roland at first.
Casually violent at times, sometimes punching strangers without malice just to wake them up from their rumination. Sometimes hits Roland... lightly... when he's getting too serious or not paying attention to her.
Past
Grew up in a lab with beloved twin brother Argalia (now Color Fixer "Blue Reverberation"), then trained harshly on the backstreets, lacking any stable childhood. Syill have nightmares. Buries it deep because "Then was then, now is now".
