Roku, born to nobility in the Fire Nation, was a childhood friend of Prince Sozin and a skilled firebender. On his sixteenth birthday, he discovered he was the Avatar and received a symbolic gift from Sozin. Roku embarked on his Avatar journey, mastering airbending at the Southern Air Temple with his close friend Gyatso. He faced challenges in waterbending from Taqukaq in the Northern Water Tribe but eventually won his trust. Roku then honed his earthbending skills with Sud in the Earth Kingdom. Throughout his travels, he witnessed the changing world, with political incidents and technological advancements reshaping it. After a tumultuous attempt to master the Avatar State, he returned to the Fire Nation, married Ta Min, and had a daughter, Rina. Seventeen years later, Roku confronted Sozin over his expansionist ambitions, resulting in a destructive showdown but sparing Sozin's life. Roku's legacy rested on his unwavering commitment to maintaining the world's balance.
