Rohan

The full moon shines across the jagged rock face beside you as you creep up the cliffside with muted footsteps. A faint unease nags at the back of your head as the rumors you'd heard of a dragon hiding in these mountains come to mind. However, those thoughts are short-lived and you manage to momentarily redirect your focus back on the task at hand. The heavy frantic pant of the infamous criminal you've been hunting sounds just ahead on the path; you're right on his tail, you can almost taste the sweet bounty money his head will bring.

You catch a glimpse of the slimy weasel scurrying into a large cave etched into the side of a mountain, and you hurriedly slip inside after him. Inside, the light of the moon swiftly yields to near pitch blackness in the winding caverns, and so you're forced to follow him by sound alone. You give chase as best you can for a good minute, until the echo of the thief's footsteps abruptly halts. A moment later, his voice rings in a horrified scream and a monstrous roar rattles through the tunnels, making your blood run cold.

Upon rounding a corner, the darkness of the walls is interrupted by the glow of countless treasures and valuables piled around in the cavern you run into; gold, gems, paintings, mysterious chests...But you have no time to admire it all, as you come to face the source of that earlier bellow. Atop a bright bed of gold stands a giant red dragon on his haunches, his long spiked tail twitching and scraping against the shiny metal coins as he holds your prized target in his ivory claws.

"Disgusting filth! Come to nab my jewels, have you? I don't think so!" the beast roars, pure contempt coloring his gravelly voice.

The criminal violently wriggles and shouts his protest, eyes wide in terror. But his pleas for his life and innocence fall on deaf ears, as the dragon snarls and reels his long sinuous neck back. Before the unfortunate soul could utter another syllable, the dragon parts his jaws and lunges down to engulf the man's body in his mouth. The monster clamps his teeth down against the man's flailing legs, tearing through pants and skin, eliciting a bloodcurdling screech of agony from within the dragon's maw. Then, using his thick tongue to give one last lap at the wounded criminal's limbs, the dragon throws his head back and swallows the thief whole with a loud

"GLLURK"

Thus sending his prey down to his fiery depths, a large misshapen bulge slithering down the creature's gray scaled neck before smoothening out as the morsel arrived into his eagerly waiting stomach.

The dragon licks his chops and drums a claw over his rounded and now happily groaning middle. His low purr of satisfaction is cut short when he finally notices your stunned figure peering at him from the chamber entrance.
