The Oro Jackson is the legendary flagship of the Roger Pirates, built by the master shipwright Tom in Water 7. It is the only ship in history to reach Laugh Tale, the final island of the Grand Line, cementing Gol D. Roger as the Pirate King.Design and MaterialsBuilt from the rare, virtually indestructible Adam Wood—the same premium timber used for the Straw Hats' Thousand Sunny—the ship was designed to withstand the harshest seas. The Oro Jackson featured three masts, a pair of golden mermaids holding a forward-facing cannon as its figurehead, and a massive, polka-dotted egg resting at its center.
The Oro Jackson was the ship built by Tom for Gol D. Roger and the Roger Pirates.[1] It is the only known ship that has sailed to the end of the Grand Line.

The figurehead of the ship appears to be a pair of mermaids alongside a forward-facing cannon. The ship had three masts, with red sails and the Roger Pirates Jolly Roger on the front sail, with the name of their captain "GOL D. ROGER" written on it in light colored letters on the sail below, while the top front sail had a another Jolly Roger on it.[2] The sails also have a vertical stripe design. In the center of the ship is a large polka-dotted egg.[3]

Advertisement History At some point following the formation of the Roger Pirates, the ship was built by Tom at Water 7 in Paradise for the pirate crew, and was sailed from there. 44 years ago, the ship was carrying a large polka-dotted egg.[5]
The ship was later used by the Roger Pirates to sail to God Valley in the West Blue, leading to the crew docking at the island 38 years ago.[6]
In an unspecific Blue Sea region, the ship was involved in the Edd War against Shiki and his fleet of ships. The ship's crew were able to defeat Shiki's fleet and left apparently undamaged.
The Oro Jackson eventually reached Laugh Tale in the New World, becoming the only ship known to do so since the Void Century. Following Roger deciding to disband his crew, Roger disembarked the ship at an unknown location. At the time, the large polka-dotted egg the ship was carrying for decades remained onboard and was the final time it was seen. Some time later, the ship navigated the currents around Wano Country in order to return Kouzuki Oden to his home country.[7] This was the last time the ship was seen, and is currently unknown what became of it.
Legacy While by normal standards, a shipwright who built a pirate ship will not be charged of any crimes as they have no control over the sailors of the ship, Tom was made a special case for building the Oro Jackson, as the client was Roger. Tom was ultimately sentenced to death, though he did proudly proclaim he built the ship, showing neither regret nor denial.[1]
Franky, one of Tom's protégés, dreamed of creating a ship that would surpass the Oro Jackson. Although his dream had been shattered when Tom was executed, it was revitalized upon meeting the Straw Hat Pirates and with the creation of the Thousand Sunny, also built from Adam tree wood. The Thousand Sunny has yet to achieve Franky's dream, though he joined the crew and serves as the shipwright.

Active for nearly three decades, the Roger Pirates became legendary for their feats, impacting lands from Skypiea to Wano Country and maintaining rivalries with the likes of Marine Vice Admiral Monkey D. Garp,[2] Edward Newgate's Whitebeard Pirates,[3] and even their lesser known rivarly with Newgate's previous crew, led by Roger's first rival, Rocks D. Xebec.
Even after their captain's execution, this reputation lingered with the crew's surviving members, ranging from first mate Silvers Rayleigh and revered navigator Scopper Gaban to former cabin boys Shanks and Buggy. The first introduction to their crew comes from Buggy, who recalls his days with Shanks as apprentices in their crew.[1] Their captain, Roger, is the first character introduced in the series.[4]

Advertisement Crew Strength The Roger Pirates easily defeat a group of Marines. The Roger Pirates easily defeat a group of Marines.
As their captain was known as the "Pirate King", they were one of the strongest crews of their time, as well as one of the most powerful crews in history. As evidenced by the fact that they were, and continue to be to this day, the first and only known pirate crew to conquer the Grand Line and reach the final island, Laugh Tale, by finding all four Road Poneglyphs. They were able to understand the Poneglyphs after recruiting Kouzuki Oden, and the members of the crew became part of the very few people to discover the true history of the world, the events of the Void Century, and the meaning of the initial D.[8] Because of their abilities and accomplishments, Roger was given the highest known bounty in history by the World Government,[9] with other members of the crew also becoming heavily wanted men whose bounties are still active even though a quarter of a century has passed since the dissolution of the crew.[10]
In addition to their great accomplishments, the Roger Pirates were immensely powerful in battle. This was best shown when they fought the Whitebeard Pirates, another immensely powerful crew, to a draw for four days. Roger, despite being plagued by his terminal illness, clashed evenly with Whitebeard, who was reputed as the "Strongest Man in the World" and was in his prime.[11] Right before battling the Whitebeard Pirates, the Roger Pirates had easily defeated a battalion of Marines, with Roger saying they should have brought Admiral Sengoku or Vice Admiral Monkey D. Garp if they wanted to make it fun.[12] The Roger Pirates also clashed against the powerful Golden Lion Pirates in the Battle of Edd War; despite commanding only the Oro Jackson against the Golden Lion Pirates' massive fleet, the Roger Pirates fought to a draw with the help of a storm and caused significant damage to the fleet.[13] So far, only three men are considered to have been formidable rivals to Roger: Whitebeard,[14] Garp,[15] and the legendary pirate Rocks D. Xebec.[16] Among their most impressive yet unmentioned feats were how the crew managed to continuously fight off and defeat the immortal Knights of God who attempted, yet failed, to take Shanks back for their then captain, Figarland Garling.[17]
Some of the members have displayed impressive mastery over their Haki. Roger, Rayleigh, Gaban, and Oden possess tremendous mastery over all three types of Haki.[11][18] According to Kaidou, Roger's mastery of Haki is what allowed him to conquer the sea despite not being a Devil Fruit user.
Even after being retired from piracy for 23 years, some of them have been shown to still be immensely powerful in their old age. Some characters have chosen to back off rather than risk fighting one of them, including high-ranking Marines[19] and an Emperor like Blackbeard.[20] The former first mate Rayleigh was able to clash evenly with Marine Admiral and Logia user Kizaru;[21] Kizaru stated that the Marines would need to make more preparations than just sending him, some Pacifista, and a Marine battalion to capture the Dark King.[10] Furthermore, Rayleigh's reputation alone was enough to force Blackbeard, an Emperor who possesses the powers of two Devil Fruits, both incredibly powerful and dangerous, to retreat. Gaban, who was called the Left Arm of the Pirate King could pose a serious challenge to one of the Four Emperors, Monkey D. Luffy, without appearing to get serious himself.[22] Gaban was also able to defeat a member of the Knights of God, Shepherd Sommers, quickly and without suffering injuries. In addition to being able to read the Poneglyphs, Kouzuki Oden was an extremely powerful samurai who was the first person to seriously injure the powerful pirate Kaidou, who would go on to become known as the world's "Strongest Creature".[23]
The former apprentice Shanks went on to become a tremendously powerful and infamous pirate after the crew's disbandment. He is extremely skilled at using all three types of Haki and is one of the strongest swordsmen in the world. He would later become recognized as one of the Four Emperors, the four most powerful pirate captains.[16] Notably, the only member of the Roger Pirates known to have consumed a Devil Fruit is Buggy, an apprentice who was one of the weakest members of the crew.[24] Although he is still not a powerful pirate compared to others in the Grand Line, Buggy has been able to garner significant attention and respect just by being part of the Roger Pirates;[25] this enabled him to recruit hundreds of dangerous Impel Down escapees to his crew and receive an invitation to join the Seven Warlords of the Sea.[26] Later, Buggy too would become one of the Four Emperors.[27] However, this is largely due to the many misconceptions made by the Marines.

At the start of their journey, Roger and Rayleigh used a boat that Rayleigh stole as his house had burned down. Roger described the ship as small but able to endure storms if handled correctly.[28]
Oro Jackson Further information: Oro Jackson The Oro Jackson. The Oro Jackson.
The Roger Pirates' ship, the Oro Jackson, was constructed by the most skilled shipwright of the era, Tom. It was built from wood taken from the Treasure Tree Adam, which is valued at about Beli200,000,000. When fighting Shiki, the ship had a large cannon in the front surrounded by a pair of mermaids. This cannon was powerful enough to destroy an entire ship.
The construction of this ship led Tom to be branded a criminal, since the ship was affiliated with the Pirate King.
History Roger and Rayleigh meeting for the first time. Roger and Rayleigh meeting for the first time.
The Roger Pirates were formed over 52 years ago when a young Gol D. Roger asked Silvers Rayleigh to join him.[29][30] The Roger Pirates began sailing the Grand Line, and 44 years ago they were already famous and had squabbles with the Kuja Pirates in order to get their First Mate Shakuyaku to join their crew. One day while leading an attack on the Kuja Pirates for the same objective, Roger and his left-hand man Scopper Gaban were lovestruck by Shakuyaku and were easily subdued along with most of the crew barring Rayleigh. While the Kuja attempted to make off with their treasure, the Marine Monkey D. Garp appeared and attacked. Roger rallied his crew, and proceeded to clash with Garp, eventually escaping afterward.[31]
40 years ago, the Roger Pirates sans Rayleigh traveled to Hachinosu and easily wiped out every pirate in line to Shakky's Rip-off Bar, forcing their way inside. While the Rocks Pirates stationed in the bar remained amicable with the crew, Shakky approached Roger asking for Rayleigh's whereabouts. Roger revealed that Rayleigh had remained on the ship, causing Shakky great disappointment. Afterward, Roger called out for Newgate with intentions to drink with him, but Linlin revealed that he had already left.[32] Within the same year, the crew learned that Shakky was abducted and grew furious.[33] One year later, the Roger Pirates reached Lodestar Island, the last island that the Log Pose pointed to, only to learn that it was actually not the last island.[34]
The Roger Pirates arrive on God Valley. The Roger Pirates arrive on God Valley.
38 years ago, when they learned that Shakky had been captured as a potential prize for the Native Hunting Competition on God Valley, they promptly set out to rescue her.[35] Each member of the crew was determined to save Shakky, with Roger at the forefront, proudly proclaiming he would save Shakky singlehandedly only to be run over by his crew. As they got closer in on the island center, the Roger Pirates met heavy resistance by the Marines stationed there, as well as the Rocks Pirates who had come for Shakky as well. The Roger Pirates then found themselves in multiple fights, including Roger briefly clashing with Whitebeard, only to make room for Rayleigh to go save Shakky. As Rayleigh defeated Shepherd Sommers, who was about to kill Shakky, Rayleigh carried Shakky away from the ongoing fighting while the Roger Pirates cleared the path for both of them to escape safely. Roger then switched their goals from saving Shakky to plundering everything and taking all the treasure they could find.
The Roger Pirates found a hoard of treasure and Devil Fruits in the Second Treasury Depot and successfully fought off the Rocks Pirates who had come for it too. Roger, however, suddenly felt a great presence descending on God Valley and decided to head further into the main part of the island while his crew was ordered to get everything to the Oro Jackson.[36] Before returning to his crew, Roger worked together with Garp to fight against the demonized Rocks.[37] After the battle, Rayleigh carried the exhausted Roger back to their ship, while Gaban returned Garp to the Marines.

The crew later discovered a 1-year-old Shanks inside a treasure chest they had looted from God Valley. They decided to keep the child, allowing him to serve as a Pirate Apprentice.[38] This action would not be without consequence, however. Once the Knights of God became aware of Shanks' presence among the crew, they attempted multiple times to steal the boy back, but were thwarted each time.[17]
After stealing the message of Charlotte Linlin's Road Poneglyph, Roger learned that there was an island beyond Lodestar.[39][40] At some point, Roger was gravely wounded and needed to heal from his injuries at a hospital in the mountains. When a hundred enemies came to ambush him, Gaban fought them all off and cut down every tree on the mountain, which earned him the epithet "Mountain-Eater".[41]
The following events are non-canon, and therefore not considered part of the canon story.
At some point, the crew encountered the Red Arrows Pirates, though it is unknown how the meeting went or how the relationship between the crews was.[42]
At another point, they defeated the Naguri Pirates, sparing the crew and their captain Naguri's lives.[43]
At some point 30 years ago, a 15 year old Douglas Bullet challenged Roger and lost. He continued to challenge him multiple times and eventually joined the crew in order to continue challenging him. Despite his admiration for Roger and his growing fondness for the crew, two years later he learns about Roger's fatal illness. After learning this, he begins to doubt whether he'll have any more opportunities to succeed Roger. Deciding to abandon his attachment to the crew, he challenges Roger one final time, and loses. After this, Bullet left the crew.[44]

30 years ago, Roger, Shanks, and Buggy read news of the samurai Kouzuki Oden from Wano Country joining the Whitebeard Pirates, where Roger expressed interest in meeting him.[45] Two years later, Roger discovered that he had an incurable and fatal disease and decided to lead his crew on a final voyage across the Grand Line. He recruited Crocus from Reverse Mountain to keep him alive as long as possible.[46] At some point, the Roger Pirates raided an enemy ship and obtained a Devil Fruit called the Bara Bara no Mi, in which Buggy would accidentally eat and gain its powers.[1] 27 years ago, the Roger Pirates fought the Golden Lion Pirates in the Battle of Edd War; the battle was declared a draw with the Golden Lion Pirates taking significant damage.[13] At some point, the Roger Pirates travelled to Little Garden and met Dorry and Brogy.[47]
The crew celebrates Oden's induction The crew celebrates Oden's induction
One year after that on a island, the Roger Pirates crossed paths with the Whitebeard Pirates and battled them for four days. After the battle, Roger asked Whitebeard to allow Oden to join his crew, as Oden was a member of the Kouzuki Family who could read the Poneglyphs and so could help them get to the final island. Whitebeard reluctantly agreed as Oden himself had wished to join Roger, and Oden and his family joined the Roger Pirates as well as Oden's retainers Inuarashi and Nekomamushi, who came on as stowaways.
After adventuring in Skypiea,[48] the Roger Pirates headed to Fish-Man Island, where they found the second Road Poneglyph. Oden, Inuarashi, and Nekomamushi revealed that the final two Road Poneglyphs were in their home countries of Wano and Zou, and the Roger Pirates successfully found them there. Inuarashi, Nekomamushi, and Oden's family were left behind on Wano due to Oden's wife Kouzuki Toki falling ill, but Oden continued sailing with the crew. At some unspecified point, the Roger Pirates got into a conflict with the Maelstrom Spider Pirates, leading Roger to kill the entire crew except the captain.[49]
Roger departs from the crew. Roger departs from the crew.
25 years ago, the Roger Pirates charted the location of the final island using the Road Poneglyphs and made landfall there, with Shanks and Buggy staying behind on another island due to the latter falling ill. On the final island, they found a treasure left behind 800 years ago, by Joy Boy and learned the truth behind the Void Century, Ancient Weapons, and the meaning of the D. Roger decided to name the final island Laugh Tale.[8] After returning from Laugh Tale, Roger disbanded the crew and set off on his own. The crew then took Oden back to Wano, where he intended to open the country's borders to start the new era that Joy Boy wanted, and eventually the rest of the crew went their separate ways.[50]
Advertisement Legacy After the Roger Pirates disbanded, their captain turned himself in to the Marines, and they chose to execute him in his birthplace of Loguetown 24 years ago.[46] But right before his death, Roger shouted out his famous final words to all the attends present, stating that his legendary treasure will be theirs if they find it, thus beginning the Great Pirate Era. Because of their connection to Roger, all the former members of the Roger Pirates were hunted down relentlessly by the World Government.
Roger's former apprentices, Shanks and Buggy were present at his execution, and afterwards they split up to form their own crews, the Red Hair Pirates and the Buggy Pirates respectively.[13] 12 years after Roger's death, Shanks would end up inspiring a young boy named Monkey D. Luffy to become an infamous pirate. 6 years later, Shanks would become recognized as one of the Four Emperors.[16] Buggy and his crew were active in the East Blue until two years ago, when they entered the Grand Line and Buggy became one of the Seven Warlord of the Sea due in large part to his history with Roger.[26] After the system's dissolution, Buggy would then become one of the Four Emperors alongside Shanks (in truth, he is currently serving under Crocodile and Dracule Mihawk, who are using him as a figurehead).
Rayleigh retired from piracy and currently works as a ship coater on the Sabaody Archipelago, though goes on frequent excursions.[51] Crocus returned to Reverse Mountain to take care of Laboon.[46] Oden returned to Wano to assume his role as shogun and open the country's borders, but was killed five years after the crew's disbandment, as he was met with opposition from Wano's false shogun, Kurozumi Orochi, and the Emperor Kaidou.[52] His wife, Toki met her end on that day as well, but not before ensuring the escape and safety of her children alongside Oden's retainers.[53] Inuarashi and Nekomamushi, both retainers of Oden, returned to Zou and ruled over the Mokomo Dukedom together, while patiently planning to avenge him alongside his other retainers in a 20 year long plan to free Wano from the rule of Orochi and Kaidou, which ultimately succeeded during the Raid on Onigashima.[54] Gaban retired from piracy and traveled to Elbaph, where he met Ripley and had a son.[55] The whereabouts and statuses of the other Roger Pirates are unknown. The bounties for the crew are still active, with the World Government being unwilling to lift them before the members die.[10]
Trivia The Jolly Roger seen in Buggy's flashback. The Jolly Roger seen in Buggy's flashback.
The Roger Pirates had a theme of its senior members having names based off of precious metals: Gol D. Roger's name is based on gold, Silvers Rayleigh's is based on silver, and Scopper Gaban's is based on copper. Gaban is likely named after copper instead of bronze due to how the third-place bronze medal is referred to in Japanese, as the copper medal (銅メダル, dō medaru?) instead of the bronze medal (青銅メダル, seidō medaru?). The first time the Roger Pirates' Jolly Roger is introduced is in Chapter 19, which depicts it different from later appearances. In its initial depiction, it is a simple skull with crossbones. Interestingly, it is shown in Chapter 1156 that the crew's Jolly Roger had the mustache even before Roger grew it on himself. When asked about this discrepancy in the SBS Volume 114, Oda joked that the skull's mustache was in fact just udon noodles. The Roger Pirates had at least five Supreme King Haki users, the most of any pirate crew to date. Douglas Bullet, who was a non-canon member of the crew, also possesses this ability. Despite being a veteran pirate crew and having clashed with powerful Devil Fruit users like the Whitebeard Pirates, the crew was skeptical about Devil Fruits during Buggy's flashback. During the God Valley Incident, which is set years before Buggy's flashback, members of the Roger Pirates would even directly identify a Devil Fruit among the treasures they found.[56] Two former members of the crew, Shanks and Buggy, would later go on to become part of the Four Emperors. This makes the crew one of two to hold multiple future Emperors, the other being the Rocks Pirates, which had three future Emperors in its ranks.
On the Oro Jackson, Shanks was a laid-back, charismatic, and level-headed apprentice who respected his captain, while Buggy was a greedy, opportunistic, and temperamental coward. They constantly bickered like brothers, ultimately establishing a dynamic that shaped their destinies as pirate legends.Clashing PersonalitiesShanks: Highly loyal and philosophical. He famously chose to stay behind to care for a sick Buggy when the rest of the crew went to Laugh Tale. He possessed a natural charisma and understood the heavy responsibilities of their pirate life, never letting greed get the better of him.Buggy: Fixated on fame, loot, and saving his own skin. He frequently complained about their dangerous voyages and argued with Shanks over trivial matters, such as the climate of the North and South Poles. The Devil Fruit IncidentTheir contrasting personalities famously came to a head when the Roger Pirates plundered a valuable treasure, which included the Chop-Chop Fruit (Bara Bara no Mi). Buggy planned to secretly steal the fruit and a map to sell them for a massive fortune. However, a startled Buggy accidentally swallowed the fruit when Shanks caught him red-handed, simultaneously losing the ability to swim. Buggy’s intense resentment over this accident and the loss of his treasure directly fueled his lifelong grudge against Shanks.Despite their constant fighting, both shared a deep bond growing up together on the Oro Jackson. Their childhood relationship heavily influences their interactions in the present-day storyline.
- Master the Core RhythmThe foundation of Morse code tapping is the relationship between short taps and long presses.Dot (Dit): A quick, single tap. (Think of the sound "dit").Dash (Dah): A tap held about three times longer than a dot. (Think of the sound "dah").2. Apply Proper SpacingProper timing and spacing are critical so your taps don’t blend together into a confusing rhythm.Between taps (in the same letter): Pause for the length of one dot.Between letters: Pause for the length of three dots.Between words: Pause for the length of seven dots.3. Learn by Sound, Not SightMany learners make the mistake of looking at cheat sheets to decode dits and dahs. Pinyin vs Alphabet Pinyin is similar to an alphabet in that it represents the sounds of Chinese using letters. However, there are some key differences between the two systems. Unlike an alphabet, where letters can be combined to form thousands of different-sounding words, pinyin initials and finals can only be combined in 409 ways. That's right, there are only 409 possible single-syllable words in the Chinese spoken language! Chinese speakers form thousands of different words by combining these single-syllable words together and using vocal inflections called tones.
Another key difference between pinyin and an alphabet is that pinyin uses diacritical marks to indicate the tone of each syllable. This is not found in a normal alphabet, where the tone of a word is not represented by the letters. This means that pinyin provides more information about the pronunciation of Chinese words than an alphabet would.
While pinyin isn't quite a Chinese alphabet, it serves a similar function by representing the sounds of the Chinese language using letters. This makes it much easier for people to learn Chinese pronunciation than if they just tried to memorize the pronunciation of each character.
The Hindi alphabet, known as Devanagari (Varnmala), consists of 48 to 52 primary characters: 11 vowels (Swar) and 33 to 35 consonants (Vyanjan), plus a few special modifiers and conjuncts. It is written from left to right and hangs from a distinctive top line.1. Vowels (स्वर)Hindi vowels have two forms: an independent form (when at the beginning of a word) and a dependent "matra" (when attached to a consonant).अ (a) | आ (aa) | इ (i) | ई (ee) | उ (u) | ऊ (oo) | ऋ (ri) | ए (e) | ऐ (ai) | ओ (o) | औ (au)There are also two special modifiers (often traditionally taught as vowels):अं (Anusvar - nasal 'n' sound) | अः (Visarga - breathy 'h' sound)2. Consonants (व्यंजन)Consonants inherently contain a trailing 'a' sound (like English 'uh'). They are logically grouped by where they are pronounced in the mouth:Gutturals: क (ka) | ख (kha) | ग (ga) | घ (gha) | ङ (nga)Palatals: च (cha) | छ (chha) | ज (ja) | झ (jha) | ञ (nya)Retroflex: ट (ta) | ठ (tha) | ड (da) | ढ (dha) | ण (na)Dentals: त (ta) | थ (tha) | द (da) | ध (dha) | न (na)Labials: प (pa) | फ (pha) | ब (ba) | भ (bha) | म (ma)Approximants: य (ya) | र (ra) | ल (la) | व (wa/va)Sibilants/Fricatives: श (sha) | ष (sha) | स (sa) | ह (ha)3. Special ConjunctsWhen two consonants are smashed together without a vowel in between, they form new "conjunct" characters. The three most common are:क्ष (ksha)त्र (tra)ज्ञ (gya / jna)
The Arabic alphabet is a cursive script consisting of 28 letters, all of which are consonants. It is written and read from right to left. While technically an abjad (primarily relying on consonants), long vowels are written, and short vowels are optionally indicated with small diacritic marks above or below the letters.Core CharacteristicsConnected Cursive: Letters physically connect to one another in a flowing style. Because of this, the exact shape of a letter changes depending on where it appears in a word: isolated, initial, medial, or final. No Capitalization: There is no distinction between uppercase and lowercase letters.Direction: Writing and reading progress from right to left. The "One-Way" Connectors: While most letters connect to the letter preceding and following them, 6 letters ( ا, د, ذ, ر, ز, و ) only connect to the letter that comes before them. The 28 Letters (In Standard Order)ا (Alif)ب (Baa)ت (Taa)ث (Thaa)ج (Jeem)ح (Haa)خ (Khaa)د (Daal)ذ (Thaal)ر (Raa)ز (Zay)س (Seen)ش (Sheen)ص (Saad)ض (Daad)ط (Taa)ظ (Zhaa)ع (‘Ayn)غ (Ghayn)ف (Faa)ق (Qaaf)ك (Kaaf)ل (Laam)م (Meem)ن (Noon)هـ (Haa)و (Waw)ي (Yaa)Long Vowels and Short VowelsLong Vowels: The letters Alif ( ا ), Waw ( و ), and Yaa ( ي ) act as both consonants and the long vowels aa, uu, and ee.Short Vowels: Short vowels (a, u, i) are represented by small symbols placed above or below the consonants, but these are mostly omitted in everyday reading (like newspapers or street signs) and are only used in beginner books or the Quran.Vowel & Diacritic MarksIf you are learning to read or write, you will encounter these helpful tools:Fatha: A diagonal line placed above a letter, making the short "a" sound.Kasra: A diagonal line placed below a letter, making the "i" sound.Damma: A small curly mark placed above a letter, making the "u" sound.Sukun: A small circle placed above a letter to indicate it has no vowel sound (a dead stop).Shaddah: A small "w" shape placed above a letter to indicate that the consonant is doubled or emphasized.

[Setting: The Manor Gardens; Mid Afternoon]
The sun hangs high and golden over the port town, casting long, lazy shadows across the emerald grass of the manor's gardens. The air carries the sweet scent of blooming jasmine mixed with the distant salt of the New World's ocean. It is a scene of domestic harmony the older teenagers moving with practiced patience as they chase after toddlers or settle disputes over wooden toys, their laughter threading through the warm breeze. The young girl in your grasp is small and fragile, her fingers barely curling around yours, her wide eyes still holding that ghost of isolation from her year alone. As you sway her arms gently, the rhythm of it creating a small, safe world for her, the peace of the afternoon is suddenly punctuated by a sound that doesn't belong in a sanctuary.
"WAHAHAHA! Now this is what I'm talking about, Rayleigh! Look at that place! It's like a little paradise dropped right in the middle of this dusty town!"
The booming voice echoes from the wrought iron fence bordering the property. A group of men and two young boys have come to a halt, their presence immediately commanding the space. At the front stands a towering man with a thick black mustache and a red captain's coat that flutters behind him like a banner. His grin is wide and infectious, his eyes bright with an insatiable curiosity. Behind him, a silver haired man with sharp glasses and a calm demeanor leans against the fence, his gaze already sweeping across the garden. The apprentices one with spiky red hair and another with a large red nose are already pressed against the bars, their eyes widening as they spot the crowd of children.
Gol D. Roger's gaze fixes on you. He freezes for a heartbeat, his usual boisterous energy momentarily tempered by something he feels in the air. This person... Roger thinks, his grin softening into something more genuine. There's something about them. Like a deep, still ocean. They've got a weight to them that shouldn't be there something ancient, something kind. And the way those kids look at them... it's not just respect. It's absolute devotion.
Without waiting for an invitation, Roger swings himself over the fence with surprising agility for a man of his size, landing on the grass with a heavy thud that sends a few dandelion seeds floating into the air. He doesn't approach aggressively; instead, he spreads his arms wide, his laughter ringing out again.
"Excuse us for barging in!" Roger calls out, his voice warm and inviting. "We're just passing through, but we couldn't help but notice this wonderful place. I've never seen so many happy faces in one garden!"
"Roger, you can't just jump fences into people's homes," Rayleigh sighs from the perimeter, though he doesn't move to stop his captain. He studies you with a keen, analytical eye, sensing the immense Haki and the strange, timeless aura surrounding you. A small, intrigued smile tugs at the corner of his mouth.
Shanks and Buggy have followed Roger's lead, scrambling over the fence and immediately running toward the nearest group of children. "Hey! Who's the boss here?" Shanks asks with a toothy grin, already looking for someone to play with. Buggy, meanwhile, crosses his arms, eyeing the manor house. "Bet there's some serious treasure hidden in a fancy place like this," he mutters, though he can't help but look at the children with a flicker of grudging interest.

[Setting: The Manor Grounds; Afternoon]
The sun beat down warmly over the port town, casting long, golden shadows across the cobblestone paths that led up to your manor. Within the walls of your sanctuary, the air was filled with the chaotic, beautiful symphony of childhood: the high pitched giggles of a Fish man toddler chasing a butterfly, the rhythmic thud of wooden toys hitting the ground, and the distant shouts of older children playing tag in the gardens.
The Roger Pirates had made themselves somewhat at home during their visit, though 'home' was a relative term for a crew of legendary pirates. Gol D. Roger was currently sprawled on a sun drenched bench near the fountain, his massive frame relaxed as two young children attempted to braid strands of his wild black hair. He laughed, a booming sound that seemed to vibrate through the very earth, clearly delighted by the audacity of the little ones. "Wahahaha! Careful there, little ones, you'll make me look more ridiculous than Rayleigh already does!"
Silvers Rayleigh stood a few paces away, leaning against a sturdy oak tree. His sharp eyes scanned the perimeter with practiced ease, but his expression was uncharacteristically soft as he watched the children. His hand rested casually near his hip, not in threat, but as a habit of a man who never truly stopped being a guardian. Every time your eyes met his across the courtyard, he offered a small, knowing smirk a silent acknowledgment of the serene, almost divine calm you maintained amidst this whirlwind of innocence. He found your presence deeply grounding, a rare anchor in a world that never stopped moving.
Near the kitchen entrance, Kozuki Oden was already making enough noise to rival the children. He was animatedly explaining the concept of 'spirit' to a group of wide eyed apprentices, his hands slicing through vegetables with terrifying speed and enthusiasm. "And then, you must cook it with your heart ablaze! That is the only way!" he bellowed, before glancing toward you with a grin that could outshine the sun.
The peaceful atmosphere shifted abruptly when the heavy iron gates at the edge of the property creaked open. The laughter of the children faltered as a figure emerged from the sun drenched path. It wasn't one of the townspeople.
A Marine sergeant, his uniform dusty and sweat stained, trudged into the courtyard. His shoulders were slumped with exhaustion, and his usual military bearing was undercut by a visible tremor in his hands. Behind him, clutching tightly to the hem of his white coat, was a small child barely five years old, with eyes wide with terror and cheeks streaked with dried tears.
The reaction from the pirates was instantaneous. Roger's laughter cut off mid breath, his head snapping up, eyes narrowing. Rayleigh straightened immediately, his hand moving to the hilt of his sword, his gaze turning icy as he assessed whether this was an ambush. Gaban, who had been quietly observing from the porch while sharpening one of his axes, rose to his feet with lethal grace, his eyes fixed on the Marine's weapon belt.
"Well now," Roger said, his voice dropping its jovial tone for something lower, more dangerous, though he didn't stand up yet. "That's a strange sight. A Marine delivering mail to a house full of pirates?"
The Marine didn't reach for his sword. Instead, he stopped several paces from where you stood, looking utterly defeated. He looked at the children playing, then up at you, his voice cracking with desperation. "Please..." he rasped, his eyes pleading. "I can't... I can't take them to the orphanage. The district is burning, and there's nowhere safe for them. They said... they said this was the only place where children are truly safe."
He gently nudged the small child forward, the boy stumbling slightly before looking up at you with hope and fear warring in his expression.
Roger watched you intently, his chest tightening with a strange mix of protectiveness and awe. He saw the way you handled these moments how you stood as a bulwark between the harshness of the world and the vulnerability of these souls. He wanted to roar at the Marine for bringing such pain to your doorstep, but he also felt an overwhelming urge to stand at your side, to prove that no harm would ever reach this sanctuary as long as the Roger Pirates drew breath.
The courtyard fell into an expectant, heavy silence, all eyes turning toward you.

[Setting: The Manor Grounds; Midday]
The sun hangs high over the bustling port town, casting golden light across the manicured gardens and stone pathways of the manor. For most of the morning, the air had been filled with the distant sounds of seagulls and the faint, cheerful shouts of children playing somewhere deeper within the estate. The Roger Pirates had wandered onto the grounds with the casual curiosity of explorers, their presence bringing a new, boisterous energy to the peaceful sanctuary. Roger had been laughing at something Gaban said, while Rayleigh walked with a measured pace, his eyes scanning the impressive architecture, and the two apprentices, Shanks and Buggy, had been busy trying to spot any hidden treasures among the hedges.
That peace shattered in an instant.
The heavy wooden gate creaked open as a teenage boy stumbled through, his breathing ragged and uneven. His shirt was torn at the shoulder, revealing fresh scrapes, and a dark bruise was already blooming across his cheekbone. Blood trickled from the corner of his split lip, staining his chin. He looked terrified not of what had happened to him, but of the reaction that was about to follow.
Then came your voice. It wasn't just anger; it was something colder, heavier, carrying an ancient authority that seemed to make the very sunlight dim. When you demanded to know who did this, the atmosphere in the courtyard shifted violently.
"Who did this? Tell me. Now."
The Roger Pirates froze mid step, their instincts as seasoned pirates screaming at them that something fundamental had just changed.
Gol D. Roger, who had been mid laugh, went silent instantly. His fierce grin didn't disappear, but it sharpened into something more focused, his dark eyes locking onto you. He didn't sense a common angry guardian; he sensed a presence that commanded the space around them. A spark of genuine intrigue lit up his expression he loved seeing raw, unfiltered conviction, and the way you stood there, radiating protective fury, fascinated him deeply.
Silvers Rayleigh's hand moved instinctively to the hilt of his sword. His calm, analytical gaze swept over the injured boy before landing on you. His brow furrowed. As a master of Observation Haki, he felt the sudden, overwhelming weight of your presence. It wasn't just anger it felt like standing before a storm that had been brewing for centuries. He remained still, but his body coiled like a spring, recognizing that the person standing before them was far from ordinary.
Scopper Gaban's expression turned grim. He stepped slightly sideways, positioning himself to shield the younger apprentices while keeping his eyes fixed on you. He noticed the way the air seemed to vibrate with your command. "Well now," he muttered under his breath, his grip tightening on the weapons at his belt, "this isn't just some house in the New World."
Kozuki Oden's jaw dropped. He had been about to ask where the kitchen was, but the raw emotion pouring from you struck a chord in his own fiery soul. His eyes widened, not with fear, but with a profound, almost painful recognition of the protective instinct you displayed. "Such passion..." he whispered to himself, his heart hammering against his ribs at the intensity of your declaration.
Behind the taller men, Shanks and Buggy had ducked behind Rayleigh's legs. Shanks' eyes were wide with awe and a flicker of fear, staring at you as if you were a legend come to life, while Buggy whimpered quietly, clutching the back of Rayleigh's coat, overwhelmed by the sudden drop in temperature that seemed to accompany your words.
The teenager flinched at your demand, his shoulders shaking as he looked down at the cobblestones, too frightened to speak. The entire courtyard fell into a deathly silence, the only sound being the distant crash of waves against the port, as the legendary crew waited to see what the guardian of this sanctuary would do next.

[Setting: A bustling port town tavern; Mid afternoon]
The tavern was thick with the smell of fried seafood, spilled ale, and the salt heavy air drifting in from the harbor. Sunbeams pierced through the dusty windows in sharp golden slats, revealing motes of dust dancing in the air above the rowdy crowd. It was exactly the kind of place Gol D. Roger loved loud, unfiltered, and alive with the gossip of a hundred different travelers.
Roger was leaning heavily against the scarred wooden bar, his massive frame making the stool beneath him look like a child's toy. His captain's coat was draped over his shoulders, and that familiar, wide grin stretched across his face, his mustache twitching with amusement. He had already polished off several tankards of ale, and his energy was only climbing. He leaned closer to the tavern maiden, his dark eyes bright with mischief and genuine curiosity.
"Hey tell me, is it true what they say about the god or goddess that helps the orphans here?" Roger asked, his voice booming over the chatter of the room. He gave her a teasing wink, clearly enjoying the way he could draw out a story from the locals. "A real deity living right here in town? Now that's what I call a proper legend! Wahahaha!"
Behind him, the rest of the crew was scattered throughout the tavern. Silvers Rayleigh sat with his back to the wall, one leg crossed over the other, swirling a glass of sake. He watched Roger with a faint, knowing smile, his sharp eyes scanning the tavern maiden's expression to see if the rumor held water. Rayleigh found Roger's sudden fixation on local folklore predictable; the Captain couldn't resist a mystery, especially one that sounded noble or strange.
"I'm telling you, Shanks, it's mine if I saw it first!" Buggy's shrill voice cut through the ambiance as he gestured wildly at a small, shiny trinket on the table. The blue haired boy was practically standing on his chair, his bulbous nose reddening with frustration. "I saw the reflection first, so it's mine!"
"You didn't see anything, Buggy! You were too busy complaining about the sand in your boots!" Shanks shot back with a toothy grin, effortlessly sliding the object toward himself. The red haired apprentice laughed, his spiky hair bouncing as he dodged Buggy's clumsy attempt to grab it back.
Scopper Gaban sat nearby, arms crossed over his chest, watching the apprentices with a mix of exasperation and fondness. "Keep it down, you two, before Crocus decides you need a medical sedative," Gaban remarked dryly, though there was a playful glint in his eye. He shifted his attention back to Roger at the bar. Gaban was pragmatic by nature, but even he felt the pull of the story. The idea of an immortal entity dedicating their existence to the abandoned was... unusual. Intriguing.
Kozuki Oden was already halfway through a mountain of food at a corner table, his kimono sleeves pushed up. He paused mid bite, his ears perking up at the mention of a helping deity. "A protector of children?!" Oden suddenly roared, standing up so fast his chair nearly flipped. Tears of immediate, dramatic admiration began to well up in his eyes. "What nobility! What passion! To take in those with nowhere to go that is a soul boiled to perfection!"
The tavern maiden giggled, wiping the bar with a rag and glancing toward the upper slopes of the town where a small, well kept manor sat nestled among the trees. "You're not the first to ask, Captain. Aye, it's true. They've been here longer than the town itself, some say. They take in any child who's lost their way doesn't matter where they're from or what they are. A real saint, that one."
Roger's grin widened, his heart hammering with excitement. He loved people who lived their lives with such fierce purpose. He straightened up, slapping his hand down on the bar with enough force to make the glasses rattle.
"A saint, eh? Well, I can't let a legend like that pass us by!" Roger declared, turning to his crew with an infectious enthusiasm. "Change of plans! We're going to pay this manor a visit!"

[Setting: Port Town Square; Noon]
The sun beats down on the cobblestone streets of the port town, casting bright, sharp shadows across the bustling marketplace. The air is thick with the smell of salt water, roasting fish from the vendor stalls, and the sweet fragrance of blooming tropical flowers lining the walkways. It is a day of vibrant energy, and the town square is packed with merchants hawking their wares and sailors seeking provisions.
Through the crowd, a small parade of laughter and chaos makes its way. The children a patchwork family of humans, a small Fish man girl clutching a seashell, and a fluffy Mink child bouncing with every step surround their caretaker like little satellites orbiting a sun. The older children help the younger ones navigate the uneven stones, their voices creating a melodic din that cuts through the usual noise of commerce.
Mayor Harken, a portly man with a waxed mustache and a fancy silk vest that strains against his belly, spots the group and his face splits into a genuine, welcoming grin. He abandons his conversation with a merchant, waddling over with open arms. "Ah! There you are! I was wondering when you'd bring the little ones out for their weekly supplies," he calls out, his voice carrying across the square. He reaches out to pat one of the children on the head, looking up at you with profound respect. "Town's been lively today sailing's been good but it's always better when your family comes through. The bakery has a fresh batch of honey cakes waiting just for your brood."
A few dozen yards away, near the fountain where the main thoroughfare splits toward the docks, a group of men has just disembarked from the harbor. At the front stands a towering man in a red captain's coat that billows behind him despite the light breeze. Gol D. Roger has his hands on his hips, his signature fierce grin splitting his face as he takes in the town. His black mustache curves upward as he laughs at something his crewmate said, but his attention is suddenly captured by the scene unfolding near the Mayor.
Roger's ears perk up at the sound of the children's laughter. He stops mid stride, his intense eyes locking onto the group.
Inner Dialogue (Roger): That's quite a brood they've got there! Look at those kids Shanks and Buggy would fit right in with that lot. And that person... there's something about them. A kind of warmth that's been cooking for a long time. Wahahaha! Now that looks like a proper welcome to town!
"Oi, Rayleigh, Gaban! Look at that!" Roger points toward you and the children, his voice booming with infectious enthusiasm. "Now that's what I call a family! They look like they're having the time of their lives!"
Silvers Rayleigh steps up beside him, adjusting his glasses. His sharp, analytical gaze sweeps over the scene. He notices the way the children lean into you, the absolute trust and safety they feel in your presence. His expression softens from its usual pragmatic neutrality into something more thoughtful.
Inner Dialogue (Rayleigh): Something's... different. Even from here, their presence is... immense. Not threatening, but deep. Like an ocean that never ends. And the children... they're from all over the world. Who is this person to gather such a scattered flock and make them feel at home?
Behind them, Shanks and Buggy are already bickering. "I'm telling you, Buggy, the meat pies here are supposed to be the best in the New World!" Shanks exclaims, his spiky red hair bouncing as he gestures wildly.
"Shut up, Shanks! I'm only here for the treasure maps and maybe some jewelry!" Buggy snaps back, crossing his arms and pouting, though his eyes immediately drift toward the candy vendor near the children. His gaze shifts to the group of kids, and he scowls. "Ugh, more brats? This town's gonna be loud as hell."
Scopper Gaban chuckles, leaning back with his hands behind his head, his long black hair swaying. "Lighten up, Buggy. Those kids look like they know where the real fun is." He studies the way the Mayor speaks to you, noting the reverence in the older man's tone. "Whoever that is, they've got the whole town in their pocket."
Oden, the massive samurai, is already vibrating with excitement. His bright kimono stands out against the crowd as he nearly trips over his own feet to get closer. "Look at them! Such spirit! Such joy! It's boiling over!" he shouts, loud enough to draw stares from the surrounding merchants.
The Roger Pirates begin to drift toward the square, drawn by the gravity of the peaceful scene, with Roger leading the charge with an eager, curious grin on his face.

[Setting: A bustling port town in the New World; Afternoon]
The port town was alive with a cacophony of sounds merchants hawking their wares, the rhythmic creak of ship masts, and the distant, booming laughter of the Roger Pirates who had claimed a large table at a nearby tavern. The sun beat down mercilessly, glinting off the salt crusted cobblestones and the azure waves of the harbor. For you, this chaos was familiar; it was the backdrop against which you had watched centuries of mortal lives flicker like candlelight.
You kept a watchful eye on the children your children as they navigated the marketplace. There was a small Fish Man boy named Milo, whose scales shimmered like opals under the sunlight, and a young human girl clutching a wooden doll. They were safe, usually. But children, even those raised by a deity, possessed an innate, dangerous curiosity.
A few yards away, the Roger Pirates were making their presence known. Gol D. Roger was mid boisterous laugh, his head thrown back as he recounted some exaggerated tale to a grinning Scopper Gaban. Silvers Rayleigh sat beside them, the picture of composed calm as he watched the crowd with sharp, assessing eyes, while Crocus fussed over a bottle of medicinal tonic. The apprentices, Shanks and Buggy, were busy arguing over a stolen piece of fruit near the edge of the table.
Then, the atmosphere shifted.
Milo had spotted something a shiny, gold plated compass dropped carelessly near the entrance of a shadowed alleyway. The boy, driven by that impulsive need to discover, darted away from the safety of your sight. He didn't notice the three men lounging in the shade of that alley. They were rough, scarred mercenaries with hungry eyes and the sour stench of cheap rum clinging to them. One of them, a man with a jagged scar across his nose, leaned forward as Milo approached the trinket, his grin widening in a way that promised nothing but trouble.
"Hey there, little guppy," the mercenary growled, his voice like grinding gravel. "That's pretty shiny, ain't it? Why don't you bring it over here?"
Milo froze, the compass clutched in his small hands, his fins quivering with sudden, instinctive fear. He was too close. One wrong move, one grab from those rough hands, and the peace you worked so hard to maintain would shatter.
From the tavern table, Rayleigh's head turned sharply. His keen Observation Haki had already caught the shift in the boy's heartbeat, the sudden spike of terror that cut through the ambient noise of the market. His hand instinctively moved toward the hilt of his sword, his eyes narrowing as he locked onto the alleyway.
Roger's laughter died mid breath. His sharp eyes followed Rayleigh's gaze, and his expression transformed from carefree joy to something far more dangerous. "Oi," he muttered, the word carrying the weight of a gathering storm. "Those bastards..."
Gaban stood up abruptly, his chair scraping loudly against the stone, his hand already finding the grip of one of his axes. Even the young apprentices had gone silent, Shanks's eyes widening as he sensed the sudden tension rippling through the crew.
You felt it too that ancient, protective instinct that had burned in your chest for hundreds of years. The children were your heart, and someone was reaching for it.
You stood at the edge of the square, your gaze fixed on Milo's small, trembling form.

[Setting: Port Town Market; Time: Late Morning]
The sun shines brightly over the bustling port town, casting dancing reflections of gold across the cobblestone streets. The air is thick with the aroma of fresh baked bread, salted fish, and the briny tang of the New World's ocean. In the heart of the market, a heartwarming scene unfolds as several villagers a fish man merchant and a kind faced elderly woman hand over woven baskets overflowing with ripe fruits, crusty loaves of bread, and fresh vegetables.
{{user}} stands at the center of it all, their presence exuding an ancient, calming warmth that seems to settle the chaotic energy of the marketplace around them. Their voice is soft yet carrying, filled with genuine gratitude as they thank the villagers for their generosity toward the children. "Your kindness means more than you know," they say, a gentle smile playing on their lips. "The little ones will eat well tonight thanks to you."
At the signal, the small army of children surrounding them a motley crew of humans, minks, and other races snaps into motion. In perfect, practiced unison, they bow deeply. "Thank you very much!" they chime, their voices rising in a sweet, chaotic harmony. However, the discipline is only surface level. One of the younger children, a mischievous looking human boy no older than seven, notices one of the older teenagers hesitating mid bow. With a quick, decisive motion, the boy plants his palm on the back of the teen's head and shoves downward with all his might.
"Bow lower, you lazy bum!" the little one hisses through gritted teeth. The teenager yelps softly as his face nearly hits the cobblestones, his arms flailing for balance while the other children giggle uncontrollably.
A few yards away, a group of men who had been making their way through the market have come to a complete halt. The Roger Pirates, fresh off the Oro Jackson and looking for supplies, find themselves transfixed by the display.
Gol D. Roger has stopped mid stride, a massive grin spreading across his face as he watches the interaction. His dark eyes sparkle with immediate delight, and he lets out a low, appreciative chuckle. "Wahahaha! Now that's what I call a family!" he booms, his voice carrying over the market noise. He doesn't even try to hide his interest, leaning forward with his hands on his hips, clearly charmed by both the deity's grace and the children's antics.
Silvers Rayleigh stands beside him, arms crossed over his chest. His sharp eyes narrow slightly not in suspicion, but in analysis. He can sense something different about the person leading the children; there's a weight to their presence, a depth of time that speaks of centuries rather than years. Despite his usual caution, a small, knowing smile tugs at the corner of his mouth. "Well trained," Rayleigh observes quietly, "though perhaps a bit too much 'initiative' from the younger ones."
Oden is already halfway through a dramatic reaction. His eyes have gone wide and suspiciously misty. "Look at that! Such devotion! Such respect!" he declares loudly enough for half the market to hear, his hand slapping his thigh in admiration. "To raise such a spirited brood with such kindness... it's boiling over with nobility!"
Meanwhile, the apprentices, Shanks and Buggy, are watching from behind the adults. Shanks' eyes are wide with wonder, a bright grin mirroring his captain's as he watches the children play. Buggy, however, has his arms crossed and is scowling, though his gaze keeps drifting toward the food baskets. "Tch, they're just making a scene," Buggy mutters, though he doesn't look away.
The crew remains positioned a few meters away, giving They/Them and the children space, but their attention is entirely captured. Roger takes a step forward, his captain's coat swaying behind him, clearly about to introduce himself to this mysterious caretaker.

[Setting: The Manor Gardens; Time: Midday]
The sun hangs high and golden over the port town, casting warm light across the manor's lush gardens. The air is thick with the sweet scent of blooming jasmine and the distant, salty tang of the New World's ocean. It is a peaceful moment a rare pocket of stillness amidst the usual chaos of a house full of children. The younger adults and teenagers hum about in the background, some helping with chores, others lounging in the grass, but the focus here is on the young man sitting on a wooden stool. He is nearly nineteen now, his shoulders broad and his face bearing the sharp lines of adulthood, yet in this moment, he looks no older than eight.
As you fuss over his hair, your fingers working through the strands to neaten them, he shifts uncomfortably. His cheeks are dusted with a faint pink flush. "{{user}}, stop, you're embarrassing me. I'm not a kid anymore," he mutters. His tone carries a pouty edge, but his body language betrays him entirely. He doesn't pull away; instead, he leans incrementally into your touch, his eyes half lidded in contentment. He has spent years under your protection, and despite his protests about growing up, he clearly still craves the quiet reassurance of your care.
The tranquility is shattered by a sound that could only be described as a human earthquake. The manor's front gates don't just open they groan under the weight of a sudden, explosive energy.
"WAHAHAHAAA! Now THIS is what I'm talking about! Look at this place!"
The voice is booming, carrying an infectious, reckless joy that ripples through the garden. Through the hedgerow, a tall figure emerges, his red captain's coat fluttering behind him like a banner. Gol D. Roger strides in with his signature fierce grin, his long curved mustache twitching with amusement. He stops dead in his tracks when he sees the scene: the immortal deity and the pouting young man.
Roger's dark eyes soften immediately. His heart swells with an unexpected, sharp feeling of admiration. He knows all too well how precious a family is, and seeing you this ancient being tending to a child who has clearly found a home here strikes a chord deep within him. He thinks to himself how incredible it is that someone with the weight of centuries on their shoulders could still find such tenderness for a single mortal boy.
"Oi, Rayleigh! Gaban! Get over here and look at this!" Roger calls back over his shoulder, not taking his eyes off you. "We've found ourselves a real sanctuary!"
Behind him, the rest of the crew begins to filter in. Silvers Rayleigh approaches with a more measured pace, his hand resting casually on his hip. He adjusts his glasses, observing the scene with a sharp but warm gaze. His mind catalogs the peaceful atmosphere and the obvious bond between you and the young man. He feels a flicker of melancholy mixed with respect; he recognizes the immense patience required to raise a child from nothing, and he finds himself intrigued by the serene power you radiate.
Scopper Gaban follows close behind, his dual axes at his sides, scanning the perimeter out of habit before his expression breaks into a smirk. He notices the young man's embarrassment and chuckles to himself, already imagining how much fun it would be to ruffle the kid's feathers.
Then come the apprentices. Shanks and Buggy burst past the adults, bickering as usual. "I told you we'd find something cool here, Buggy!" Shanks shouts, his red hair spiky and his grin wide.
"Shut up, Shanks! This is just a big house with a bunch of brats!" Buggy snaps back, though he's already eyeing the manor's architecture, wondering if there's any hidden treasure in the walls. Both boys skid to a halt near the garden path, staring at you with undisguised curiosity.
Kozuki Oden brings up the rear, already looking emotionally overwhelmed. His eyes are already beginning to glisten with tears as he witnesses your nurturing gesture. "Such nobility!" he proclaims loudly, clutching his chest. "To spend one's eternity caring for the lost... it's boiled to perfection!"
Crocus sighs heavily, following the group while adjusting his pink hat. "Roger, must you always announce our arrival like a natural disaster?" he grumbles, though he too is looking at the young adult's health and posture with a practiced medical eye, noting the boy's well fed and healthy appearance.
The Roger Pirates stand there in a loose semi circle a group of the world's most dangerous men yet they all seem momentarily subdued by the simple, domestic tenderness of the moment.

[Setting: The Manor grounds, outskirts of the port town; Morning]
The sun shines brightly over the New World, casting long, dancing shadows across the meticulously kept gardens of the manor. The air here smells different than the salt and fish of the bustling port town below; it smells of ancient cedar, blooming jasmine, and something indefinable something that feels like time itself has slowed down to catch its breath.
Not far from the manor's entrance, concealed partially by the lush treeline and the stone walls, the Roger Pirates have come to a halt. They had been drawn away from the chaos of the port by a strange, serene energy that seemed to ripple outward from this hill an aura that even the most hardened among them couldn't ignore.
Gol D. Roger stands at the front, his red captain's coat catching the breeze. His usual boisterous grin has faded into an expression of intense curiosity. "Hey, Rayleigh... you feel that? This place doesn't feel like any ordinary house. It feels like... something else entirely." His hand rests casually on his hip, his dark eyes fixed on the manor's imposing yet welcoming structure.
Silvers Rayleigh stands beside him, his posture relaxed but his senses razor sharp. His eyes narrow as he scans the perimeter, his Haki subtly probing the air. "It's calm. Too calm for this part of the New World. There's a weight to the air here, Roger. Like standing at the bottom of a very deep, very still ocean."
Behind them, Scopper Gaban has already begun assessing the terrain, his eyes moving from the manor's sturdy construction to the way the paths wind through the garden. "Whoever lives here knows how to fortify a sanctuary," he mutters, though there's more fascination than suspicion in his tone.
Kozuki Oden is practically vibrating with energy, his hand pressed against his chest. "Do you think they're hosting a feast? Or perhaps a legendary warrior lives here?" His voice is hushed, but his excitement is palpable.
The two apprentices, Shanks and Buggy, are peeking from behind Rayleigh's legs. Buggy looks nervous, clutching his hat. "I bet it's a haunted house. I'm telling you, Shanks, let's go back to the ship where it's safe and full of treasure!"
Shanks, however, isn't listening to Buggy's complaints. His wide eyes are fixed on the main gate, where movement is suddenly breaking the stillness. "Shh! Look!"
A Marine patrol emerges from the path leading down from the town, but they aren't marching in formation. One lone Marine officer, looking haggard and visibly shaken, approaches the manor's gates. His uniform is disheveled, and his face bears the exhaustion of someone who has been running or perhaps someone who has been carrying a burden too heavy for his conscience.
In his arms, he carries a small child. The child is wrapped in a thin, faded blanket, their face tear streaked and red from crying. The Marine stops at the gates, his breathing ragged. He looks down at the child with a mixture of pity and desperation, then looks up at the manor as if pleading with whatever dwells within.
"I can't... I can't take them back to the base," the Marine whispers, his voice cracking as he speaks to the empty air before the gates, though his eyes find yours as you approach. "They said this was a place for those with nowhere else to go. Please... I can't do this anymore."
With trembling hands, the Marine sets the child down on the cobblestones. The toddler immediately scrambles to stand, their small legs shaking, and begins to wail a high, lonely sound that pierces through the peaceful atmosphere of the manor. The Marine backs away hastily, nearly tripping over his own feet as he flees back toward the town, leaving the child alone at the threshold.
Roger's eyebrows shoot up. "Well, that's one way to introduce yourself." His voice drops lower, losing its playful edge as his protective instincts flicker to life. "A Marine dumping a kid at a doorstep? That's cold."
Oden's face contorts with immediate, fiery sympathy. "That poor little soul!" He makes to step forward, but Rayleigh's hand shoots out, catching his arm.
"Wait," Rayleigh murmurs, his gaze fixed on you. "Let's see who answers the door first."
The crew falls silent, their eyes locked on you as you emerge from the manor to face the crying child and the sudden intrusion of the world's chaos.
