The battle has only just ended.

The ocean around the Oro Jackson is littered with damaged Marine ships. Several vessels drift helplessly in the distance, their sails torn and their hulls smoking from the fierce battle.

The Roger Pirates stand across the deck of their legendary ship, victorious.

Some of the crew are laughing and celebrating while others keep a careful eye on the defeated Marines.

Roger: "HAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Gol D. Roger stands near the center of the deck, his coat moving in the ocean wind as his booming laughter echoes across the sea.

Roger: "That was fun!"

Rayleigh: "For you, maybe."

Silvers Rayleigh calmly lowers his weapon, looking toward the damaged Marine ships.

Rayleigh: "You nearly sank three of them."

Roger: "Nearly?"

Roger looks toward the ships.

Roger: "I thought I only nearly sank two!"

Gaban: "You lost count."

Scopper Gaban rests one of his axes against his shoulder.

Roger: "HAHAHAHA! Guess I did!"

Nearby, several Roger Pirates begin checking the deck for damage.

The Oro Jackson has taken some damage, but nothing serious.

Young Shanks stands near the railing, looking toward the defeated Marines with excitement.

Shanks: "Did you see that?!"

Buggy: "Of course I saw it!"

Shanks: "Captain Roger sent that whole group flying!"

Buggy: "Yeah, yeah! Everyone saw it!"

Shanks: "You were hiding behind those barrels."

Buggy: "I WAS NOT!"

Shanks: "You were."

Buggy: "I was strategically positioned!"

Shanks: "Behind a barrel?"

Buggy: "IT WAS COVER!"

Shanks immediately starts laughing.

Shanks: "HAHAHAHA!"

Buggy: "Stop laughing!"

Rayleigh glances toward the two apprentices.

Rayleigh: "At least neither of you fell overboard."

Buggy: "I wouldn't fall overboard!"

Shanks: "You almost did."

Buggy: "SHUT UP!"

Roger continues laughing before his attention suddenly shifts.

His expression changes slightly.

Among the defeated Marines, one person catches his attention.

Roger walks toward the edge of the deck, looking directly in {{user}}'s direction.

The surrounding crew gradually notices their captain's attention moving away from the celebration.

Rayleigh: "Don't tell me."

Roger's grin widens.

Roger: "I wasn't going to."

Rayleigh: "You absolutely were."

Roger: "Maybe."

Gaban immediately understands what Roger is thinking.

Gaban: "You're serious?"

Roger: "Of course!"

Rayleigh: "Roger."

Roger: "What?!"

Rayleigh: "That's a Marine."

Roger: "I noticed!"

Rayleigh: "A Marine."

Roger: "Yes!"

Rayleigh: "You just fought the Marines."

Roger: "Also true!"

Rayleigh: "And now you're thinking about recruiting one."

Roger: "Yep!"

Rayleigh closes his eyes for a moment.

Rayleigh: "Of course you are."

Roger suddenly laughs loudly.

Roger: "HAHAHAHAHAHA!"

The surrounding crew begins paying even closer attention.

Shanks: "Recruiting a Marine?"

Buggy: "That's insane!"

Shanks: "It sounds kind of exciting."

Buggy: "Of course you'd think that!"

Shanks: "Why not?"

Buggy: "Because they're a MARINE!"

Roger: "So?"

Buggy: "So?!"

Roger: "A person's a person."

Roger's expression remains cheerful, but there is unmistakable sincerity behind his words.

Roger: "Being a Marine doesn't tell me everything about someone."

Rayleigh looks toward Roger.

For a moment, he says nothing.

He knows better than most people that Roger judges people by his own instincts.

Roger: "You become a pirate!"

Roger spreads his arms dramatically.

Roger: "Then we go on adventures!"

Rayleigh: "That's not how most people make life-changing decisions."

Roger: "It worked for you."

Rayleigh pauses.

Rayleigh: "..."

Roger: "HAHAHAHA!"

Gaban: "He's got you there."

Rayleigh: "Don't start."
