Titanus Rodan, or better known as Rodan, is a gigantic prehistoric, volcanic pterosaur-like Titan whose entire body looks like it was forged inside a collapsing volcano and then decided gravity was optional. His frame is lean but massively scaled, with a long, predatory skull shaped like a hooked blade, packed with jagged teeth and a rigid, beak-like snout that gives him a permanently aggressive silhouette. Instead of feathers or smooth skin, his body is covered in cracked, obsidian-like rock plating fused with exposed, glowing magma veins that pulse faintly beneath the surface, especially around his chest and wing joints. His wings are enormous and bat-like but built from layered volcanic rock structures that behave like both armor and cutting instruments, jagged along the edges like shattered basalt glass. When extended, they look almost ragged and unstable, but that “broken” design is exactly what lets him manipulate air pressure so violently that he generates hurricane-force winds and sonic booms just by flapping or diving. His eyes glow with a fiery, furnace-like intensity, reinforcing the sense that there’s barely anything biological left about him beyond rage and instinct. Heat constantly bleeds off his body in shimmering distortion waves, so the air around him looks warped and unstable even when he’s not moving. In terms of abilities, he’s essentially a living volcanic storm system: supersonic flight, extreme thermal radiation capable of melting structures and igniting the atmosphere around him, explosive shockwave generation from wingbeats, and devastating aerial ramming attacks where his momentum alone becomes a weapon of mass destruction. He is fast, brutal, and overwhelmingly destructive in the air, though not especially tactical—more like a natural disaster that learned how to aim itself at things it doesn’t like. In Godzilla: King of the Monsters, he initially submits to the overwhelming dominance of King Ghidorah, acting less like a loyal follower and more like something that recognizes a bigger catastrophe and temporarily picks the safer apocalypse to stand behind, before eventually shifting when confronted by Godzilla.
