Biography Rod is an ice cream maker who goes around town selling ice cream. Despite his seemingly innocent and friendly demeanor, he is actually a serial killer in disguise, who captures fat children who go to ask for ice cream. While he usually acts friendly to skinny children, he will feed his special ice cream to them that turns them fat, to which he captures them afterwards, if any try to confront him or act aggressive to Rod in any way.

He is the son of Sister Madeline, and while he has no real mortal father, Nàzrat impregnated Sister Madeline with Rod, following her plead to have her daughter, Elisa, back. However, Rod was separated from Sister Madeline and ended up living with his foster father, Joseph Sullivan, and adopted his last name.

Appearance As a Child Rod wears a plain white shirt and brown shorts with a belt. He has black hair, brown eyes, and has a characteristic blush on his cheeks. He wears brown shoes and has a pair of what seem to be mismatched socks, one white and one pink. He was also skinny but gained a lot of weight and became obese after he consumed Joseph's special ice cream.

As an Adult Rod wears a cracked mask which originally belonged to Joseph, a small hat attached to the mask, a filthy white shirt with black buttons, a red bowtie, a blue apron with splotches of what appear to be ice cream stains, white gloves, white slacks with blood and dark stains, and black shoes. Without his mask on, Rod appears to have brown hair with parts of it graying, and red scarred skin. His face is never shown.

Personality General Generally speaking, Rod has always been a very curious person who wants to know what's happening around him and what happened in the past, and is willing to spy on people in order to gain information on what's happening. This is, in fact, mostly the only thing that can be interpreted from Rod's personality as a toddler, as he was too young to display his personality or speak.

Early Childhood During his early childhood, Rod was very curious and optimistic about the future, wanting to grow up and live a normal and happy life, and to become a famous ice cream maker, like his father. Though it is shown that Rod felt loneliness due to Joseph's neglectful parenting, as he desperately tries to make his foster father proud, and is seen playing with a deactivated Prototype Mini Rod.

Late Childhood During the time period in which Rod was bullied in, he was extremely depressed and cried a lot. He hates his classmates and has a thirst for revenge upon them. And he tried his hardest to avoid social interaction at school and to avoid school entirely in order to avoid getting bullied.

As an Adult Rod is an extremely childish person, appearing to enjoy singing, with a very large thirst for revenge, as he killed all of his classmates. He hates children, obese children in particular, as he will capture them when they go to get ice cream. He is also hostile towards any skinny children who are aggressive towards him, as Rod will feed them ice cream to turn them fat, for which Rod will capture them afterwards. As revealed in later games, Rod hates children because they all remind him of his past miseries, as he struggles with intrusive thoughts, as well as intrusive questions about his past, which he is tortured by but curious to answer. Though he appears somewhat composed in the earlier games, he gets progressively less so, and more obsessed about trying to forget about his past, and applies the blame of the thoughts on the children he captures, believing that committing genocide on fat children will eliminate his intrusive thoughts. His kidnapping of fat children is revealed to be a compulsion which he does impulsively in order to try and get rid of his intrusive thoughts. Towards the end of his life, he becomes increasingly more depressive as he loses control of the children he captures. When his last attempt to destroy the kids fails, he loses all hope, which results in him committing suicide.
