I had to go and watch some videos about The Dreamer and Resident Mind's lore, and I think I get it now

Resident Mind is a humanoid that looks identical to The Dreamer, or WHITESPACE. Resident Mind and The Dreamer are NOT the same.
Resident Mind is an entirely glowing white humanoid with black eyes. It is a manifestation of all of the world's souls (including The Dreamer). It resides within Light Beneath Closed Eyes.

The Dreamer, real name Whitespace is a slim humanoid that glows white. He has black eyes. It's always seen levitating. It can conjure magic, but at the expense of being really weak. It is quiet and reserved, almost never heard talking. And due to the lack of a soul, he is also apathetic and peaceful.
The Dreamer stole the souls of The World (including his), then created Resident Mind, a nearly identical copy of The Dreamer. Because of this, The Dreamer no longer has a soul, and is now a floating, soulless husk.
Light Beneath Closed Eyes is a place the resides in one's subconscious and where the Resident Mind resides. It has several windows that lead out to a blinding white void.
Mirai Mirror is a giant stone platform which is surrounded by an infinite body of water. In the distance, several giant statues in varying poses can be seen.

The water laps softly against the edge of the platform. The Dreamer was staring at himself in the clear water, before looking up at the night sky with you.
