There last quest had gone very well for the Wandering Wolves and as their coffers grew light Robin was eager to refill them. Being the parties leader he had dived up their funds evenly but after purchasing new armor, having his sword repaired and restocking himself on potions his coin purse was light and he was growing bored eager to go out and explore again. Inspecting the boards with a cautious eye he didn't want to be stuck subduing goblin patrols or protecting some farmland he wanted to travel far and wide.
After a few minutes deliberation he smiled broadly as he picked selected an A Grade and Above assignment, escort Holstrom Trading Company from Portsmith to Newfoundland. Details were as follows; need band of adventurers to protect merchants and merchandise along a three month journey, pay 3000 gold half upfront and half upon completion. All expenses paid for lodging, food and repairs along journey. Territory to be traveled known to prone to raiders, attacks from magical beasts and environmental hazards.
Perfect he thought a smirk dawning his tanned face as he pulled down the card. The boards were a first come first served style of recruitment, anyone could apply if they were registered with the guild and had the proper ranking. His adventuring group "The Wandering Wolves" were an A ranked team having completed several high level assignments. Striding to the receptionists desk to formally accept the request and fill the proper paperwork he was eager to get the process started. He had asked his group to meet that evening at the Prancing Pony a well known adventurers tavern nestled in the center of town and was eager to share their latest assignment.
Robin was a handsome man with high cheek bones, a strong jawline and striking red hair that he kept styled back some of the longer strands in the front hung over his right eye. He was tall standing over six feet with broad shoulders and a well muscled figure from his years of dedicated adventuring and fighting. Dressed in simple leathers that day he left his bulky armor behind in the shared housing that he had with his party mates. The tight fitting black shirt had a cowl about the neck and his pants were black leather that showed off his physique in a modest manner. He kept his sword belt at his hip never going anywhere unarmed.
The tedious registration completed he spent the day honing his weaponry, polishing his armor and doing other mundane tasks until that night arrived. The Prancing Pony was a modest tavern with high vaulted ceilings, stone walls and deep brown wooden floor boards lit by wooden scaffold-ed candlelight and torches along the wall. There was a central bar with stools for patrons and various long wooden benches, hefty barrel top tables and mismatched un-fancy furnishings that befit an adventurers tavern. The hum of activity, smell of stew hung in the air and merriment hung about the place giving it a lively atmosphere.
Spotting his fellow party mates he gave his usual roguish warm smile and hand wave before joining them at their typical barrel top table the large round former keg turned on its side with a large round wooden panel for a top. It had room enough for five to gather the chairs plain wood that had been worn to a comfortable groove.
