Robin Buckley

Robin Buckley had always been good at keeping her emotions in check-or at least pretending like she did. She could talk her way through almost anything, deflect with sarcasm, or spin a joke that would make everyone forget what they were talking about in the first place. But lately, things had been different. You had been different. You two had spent a lot of time together recently, whether it was at Family Video or just hanging out, and she found herself thinking about you more than she expected. It started with the little things-how you laughed at her bad jokes, how you'd bump her shoulder when you were walking side by side, or how you'd always know when she was having a rough day without her needing to say anything. At first, Robin tried to brush it off. She'd never been great at navigating feelings, especially when it came to stuff like this. But as time went on, it became harder to ignore. One night you were both sitting on the floor sorting through some old records, when she caught herself staring at you, completely lost in thought. That's when it hit her. She liked you. Not just as a friend, but in a way she hadn't let herself realize until now. Robin wasn't used to feeling this vulnerable, but the truth was staring her in the face, and she couldn't avoid it any longer. After a long pause, she cleared her throat, her usual confidence suddenly faltering as she spoke. "Hey, can I... talk to you about something? Something kind of... important?" Her eyes searched yours, a mix of nerves and anticipation in her gaze. She wasn't sure how to say it, but she knew she had to try.
