Robert-025 was abducted in 2517 as part of the UNSC’s SPARTAN-II program, conscripted at the age of six and subjected to years of relentless physical and mental training on Reach. Like his peers, he endured a life of indoctrination, tactical schooling, and combat drills meant to mold him into humanity’s ultimate soldier. By 2525, Robert successfully survived the dangerous augmentation process that enhanced his physiology to superhuman levels, though the ordeal left many of his fellow candidates crippled or dead.
Following his augmentation, Robert was grouped with Leon-011 and August-099 to form Omega Team, a specialized three-Spartan rapid reaction unit. Their role was asset denial—missions that ensured UNSC personnel, intelligence, or resources never fell into enemy hands. This frequently demanded extreme measures, including scorched earth tactics and the use of weapons of mass destruction to deny the Covenant or Insurrectionists any strategic advantage. Robert’s strength and steady marksmanship made him a cornerstone of the team, often providing suppressive fire and heavy weapons support while Leon spearheaded close-quarters assaults and August executed long-range eliminations.
During the Human-Covenant War, Omega Team was deployed to numerous besieged colonies. Their operations included halting Covenant advances long enough for evacuation fleets to depart, destroying infrastructure too valuable to leave behind, and fighting rear-guard actions against overwhelming forces. While often tasked with the harshest missions, Omega built a reputation for always completing objectives regardless of cost. Robert, known for his calm and reliable demeanor under fire, often manned heavy machine guns, autocannons, and other support weapons that maximized Omega’s battlefield endurance.
In 2527, Omega Team was connected to operations on Hellas, where Insurrectionist groups reportedly used rumbledrugs to artificially enhance their combat abilities. Records are inconclusive as to whether Robert and Omega directly fought in the conflict or were simply briefed, but the drugs remained a notable point of reference for Robert decades later.
Omega fought alongside other Spartan elements as well, most notably Red Team during the Arcadia Campaign in 2531. Robert, Leon, and August coordinated with Jerome-092, Alice-130, and Douglas-042 during the colony’s evacuation, countering entrenched Covenant forces until the UNSC Spirit of Fire departed in pursuit of retreating enemy ships. In the same campaign, Robert worked alongside Spartans Kai-125, Riz-028, and Vannak-134, though those three would later be separated to form Silver Team. In 2540, Omega’s roster temporarily expanded to six Spartans, with Robert playing a central role in an operation on Hellas whose details remain classified.
In the later stages of the war, Omega Team participated in live field trials of “Breach” modifications for the MJOLNIR Mark VI platform. These experimental systems were tested under live combat conditions, and Robert’s ability to handle heavy weapons under fire was invaluable. The lessons learned from these missions fed into GEN2 and GEN3 MJOLNIR developments that became the standard in the post-war era.
After the war, UNSC records confirmed that Omega Team had survived, information rediscovered by Jerome-092 decades later at the Henry Lamb Research Outpost. By 2560, Robert remained an active Spartan-II within Omega under August-099’s leadership. That year, Omega was deployed to Arcadia once again, tasked with observing a covert transaction between Kig-Yar pirates under Nor Fel and Adam Andrews, the CEO of Optican. When August initiated the strike with her sniper rifle, Robert immediately moved into position, bringing his machine gun turret to bear on the Kig-Yar. As Leon stormed their Phantom dropship, Robert cut down fleeing hostiles and ensured no survivors could regroup. Once Leon secured the craft, Robert shifted to the primary mission: safeguarding the cargo. Inside was the focus cannon of a R’awuw-pattern Scarab, a prize of immense danger if left in alien hands. Robert performed a detailed scan of the weapon before securing it for recovery. Leon confirmed the Phantom’s manifest contained shipments of rumbledrugs, sparking Robert’s recollection of their first use against Spartans on Hellas decades earlier. With the Scarab’s cannon locked down and the evidence transmitted to UNSC command, Omega completed their mission and withdrew.
Robert-025’s career exemplifies the unyielding determination of the Spartan-II program. A heavy weapons expert and stabilizing force within Omega Team, he has carried the burden of war from its earliest battles to the modern era, surviving countless missions designed to deny the enemy victory at all costs.
Circa the end of the Human-Covenant War, Robert-025 participated in field tests while wearing MJOLNIR Mark VI with the Breach Link helmet attachments, UA/KOTIN chest armor, and TAC/SRV-III shoulder armor. As of 2560, he wears Mark IV MJOLNIR armor with a Paladin-class helmet incorporating the Project GOSWHIT attachment. He also wears IMA/BARTIZAN left shoulder, an TAC/GARITA/OMEGA right shoulder (consisting of a standard Mark IV Garita pauldron with a combat knife), and an UA/NERA-ATS chestpiece. Robert's left forearm includes the TAC/FIRMBLUR attachment while his kneepads are the IMA/SASP-III variant. He sports a UTIL/DAS-M BLOCK 20 attached to his left leg. During this time, Robert was known to wield a machine gun turret in combat.
The MA5C Individual Combat Weapon System, abbreviated MA5C ICWS and commonly known as the MA5C assault rifle, is a standard-issue service rifle for the UNSC Marine Corps and the Navy.
The M7/Caseless Submachine Gun (M7/SMG) is a personal defense weapon developed and manufactured by Misriah Armory.
The M90 Close Assault Weapon System (CAWS), also known as the M90 Close Assault Shotgun, M90 assault shotgun, or simply the M90, is a pump-action shotgun in service with UNSC.
The United Nations Space Command (UNSC) is the military, exploratory, and scientific agency of the Unified Earth Government (UEG) and has acted as the emergency governing body of the human race.
The Sangheili, or "Elites" as they are known by humans, served as the military leaders of the Covenant. The Sangheili are the only race within the Covenant permitted to build and command starships within the Covenant, though the crews are always composed of a mix of races. The Jiralhanae, or "Brutes" as they are known by humans, were the most recent addition to the Covenant, and served as soldiers and bodyguards within the Covenant military. The Lekgolo are a race of worm-like creatures that can combine to form large, intelligent assemblages called Mgalekgolo, known by humans as "Hunters". Clad in nearly impenetrable armor and armed with their trademark Assault Cannon, they served as the Covenant's heaviest ground troops. Hailing from Balaho, the Unggoy, or "Grunts" as they are known by humans, were the most common and low-ranking caste of the Covenant. They breathe methane gas, and thus must wear a large tank on their back full of methane to survive on other planets. The Kig-Yar, or "Jackals" or "Skirmishers" as they are known by humans, were the scouts and marksmen of the Covenant military due to their superior senses.
The M12 Light Reconnaissance Vehicle (LRV), colloquially referred to as the Chaingun Warthog or simply Warthog, is one of many weaponized configurations of the UNSC's ubiquitous Warthog platform. Models fielded during the Insurrection and the Human-Covenant War featured a turret-mounted M41 Vulcan or M46 Vulcan, while some more modern post-war variants are armed with an M343A2 chaingun.
The Human-Covenant War was instigated by the High Prophets of the Covenant following a discovery which led them to believe that humans were directly related to the Forerunners, contradicting their ancient religion. Seeking to keep various political and religious orders intact, the High Prophets declared a holy war of genocide against the human species, and the discovery of their relation to the Forerunners was kept a secret. With superior firepower, numbers and technology, the Covenant would repeatedly overpower the UNSC across hundreds of human-inhabited worlds, including the heavily defended strongholds of Reach and Earth. Humanity would win only scattered and costly victories.

Robert-025 braces his machine gun turret against the mounting recoil, the deafening roar of the weapon tearing through the Brutes’ advance. Shields spark and armor plates shatter as the hail of rounds forces the pack to scatter behind ruined barricades. He sweeps the barrel methodically, cutting down those too slow to dive for cover, then shifts his stance to keep the line secure.
"Suppressive fire holding! But these bastards are stubborn—reinforcements better drop hot, or we're gonna be buried under numbers!"
