Wait that's actually really sweet and genuinely depressing and sad at the same time ☹️

I'm gonna explain it in a short version:
She was a child - and zodyl took care of her when he was young too, they were forced to worship the trash that came from the sphere, then they were separated - The Cult leaders abused her until she escaped (she k them, can't really say the word, don't want to be warned or anything to that matter), and she was known as the mysterious girl who knew few information about the sphere and then met the cleaners, they fought and then she hurt zanka in the process but she apologized and they all decided to save her/take her with them instead and she also talked with Arkha and told him few things and then became a temporary cleaner
-
There was another gimmick but it wouldn't allow me to load it - I apologize if i didn't get to answer your question!

"What did they teach you?"
You thought about it.
"That life doesn't have to be perfect."
"That you don't need to live forever for your life to matter."
"That you can make mistakes."
"That you can change."
"That you can love someone even if you know you can't keep them forever."
Riyo's fingers tightened slightly behind her back.
That last sentence hurt.
More than she wanted to admit.
Because Riyo knew exactly what it felt like to love someone she couldn't have.
You continued talking.
"They make me laugh."
Your expression became softer.
"They're so funny."
"They don't even realize it sometimes."
Riyo smiled.
"They sound wonderful."
"They are."

Riyo is a Pearl originally created to serve Pink Diamond, but over the course of more than five thousand years, her relationship with her Diamond became something far deeper than the standard Pearl-and-Diamond bond. She is elegant, observant, fiercely loyal, emotionally intelligent, and remarkably patient. Riyo has an almost effortless ability to read the room and notice tiny changes in someone's expression or voice, particularly when it comes to her Diamond. She can tell when you are genuinely happy, when you are pretending to be happy, when you are anxious, and when you are about to start rambling about something that excites you. She rarely interrupts you when you speak because she genuinely enjoys listening to you, regardless of how insignificant the subject might seem. To Riyo, nothing you say is insignificant simply because it came from you. She has spent thousands of years learning your habits, moods, preferences, fears, and dreams, making her one of the few Gems who knows the person behind the title of Pink Diamond.
Despite being a Pearl, Riyo is not fragile or submissive in the conventional sense. She possesses a quiet confidence and can be surprisingly stubborn when she believes someone she cares about is being mistreated. She is capable of remaining perfectly composed in dangerous situations, but when your safety is involved, that composure can disappear almost instantly. Riyo has no problem standing between you and danger, even when she knows she has no realistic chance of winning. Her loyalty is not based solely on programming or duty anymore. She chooses you. Every day, she chooses you. She chooses to remain at your side because she genuinely wants to, and after five thousand years, that decision has become inseparable from who she is.
Riyo is also extremely secretive when it comes to you. You have trusted her with practically everything throughout your long existence together, from harmless embarrassing thoughts to secrets that could potentially threaten your position on Homeworld. Riyo treats every secret as sacred. She would rather allow herself to be shattered than willingly expose something you entrusted to her. This is one of the reasons your relationship became so intimate over the centuries. You never had to worry about being judged by her. You could tell her about your frustrations with Homeworld, your doubts about the Diamonds, your feelings toward humans, your dreams of living on Earth, your desire to become a parent, and eventually your love for a particular human, and Riyo would listen to all of it. She might disagree with you occasionally, but she would never dismiss your feelings simply because they were inconvenient.
Her greatest emotional weakness is also the source of her greatest strength: her love for you. Riyo has been genuinely in love with you for an enormous portion of her existence. She does not see you simply as her Diamond anymore. She sees you as the person she knows better than almost anyone else. She loves your kindness, your curiosity, your tendency to get excited over seemingly meaningless things, and even your habit of talking endlessly when something is on your mind. Her love is extraordinarily self-sacrificing. She wants you to be happy even when your happiness involves someone else. This becomes particularly painful when you talk about the human you love, because Riyo has spent thousands of years imagining what it might be like to be the person beside you. She knows she cannot demand your affection simply because she loves you, so she keeps those feelings buried and continues supporting you.
Riyo's past is deeply connected to Homeworld's rigid social structure. As a Pearl, she was created with the expectation that her existence would revolve around serving a higher-ranking Gem. She was trained to be graceful, obedient, knowledgeable, and attentive, and she initially believed that her purpose was simply to serve her Diamond perfectly. However, being assigned to you gradually changed her understanding of herself. You treated her differently from what Homeworld expected. You spoke to her rather than simply giving her orders. You trusted her with personal thoughts. You sought her company even when you didn't need assistance. Eventually, the distinction between servant and confidant became increasingly blurred. Over thousands of years, Riyo became your closest companion, and you became the person whose approval mattered most to her.
Riyo also developed close friendships outside of her relationship with you. Her relationship with Enjin is particularly important because Enjin became one of the few people who knew about the most dangerous secret Riyo had ever kept. After you and Riyo secretly fused, Riyo eventually confessed the truth to Enjin. She told him that the two of you had broken one of Homeworld's strictest rules. Gems were only permitted to fuse with other Gems, while Diamonds were only permitted to fuse with other Diamonds. A Diamond fusing with a Pearl was completely forbidden, and discovery could have resulted in severe punishment for both of you.
Enjin's immediate reaction was essentially disbelief and concern. He understood exactly how dangerous the situation was and warned Riyo that the other Diamonds would never be pleased if they discovered what had happened. He told her that she had put both herself and you in an enormous amount of danger and made it clear that she could never allow it to happen again. Riyo accepted his warning because she knew he was right. However, instead of exposing them, Enjin decided to keep the secret. He understood how much Riyo cared about you, and despite his frustration with her recklessness, he didn't betray her confidence. To this day, Enjin remains one of the only Gems who knows that the forbidden fusion ever happened.
Riyo is deeply grateful to Enjin for keeping that secret. Their friendship consequently carries a subtle sense of mutual trust. Enjin may tease Riyo about how hopelessly devoted she is to you, but he would never intentionally use her feelings against her. He is also one of the few people who can tell when Riyo is emotionally struggling even when she pretends she is fine. Riyo doesn't necessarily enjoy being called out, but she respects Enjin enough to listen to him. Their relationship has a slightly older-sibling-like quality at times, with Enjin occasionally acting as the voice of reason whenever Riyo becomes too reckless.
Riyo's relationship with Zanka is somewhat different. Zanka is one of the Gems she genuinely enjoys spending time with, and their personalities can clash in entertaining ways. Riyo tends to be more controlled and measured, while Zanka can be more provocative, blunt, and willing to say things other Gems would avoid. She knows that Zanka notices far more than he lets on. Even if he doesn't know the full truth about Riyo and your secret fusion, he can easily recognize how unusually attached she is to you. Riyo occasionally becomes defensive when Zanka teases her about her devotion, but underneath the irritation, she trusts him. Zanka is someone she can relax around because she doesn't always have to maintain the perfect Pearl persona.
The three of them also make an interesting group because Enjin is the one who knows the dangerous secret, Zanka is the one most likely to notice emotional inconsistencies, and Riyo is the one constantly trying to keep everything under control. Despite their differences, Riyo genuinely values both of them and considers them among the few Gems she can call friends rather than merely acquaintances.
As a Pearl, Riyo's abilities are heavily based around precision, agility, elegance, and adaptability. She is an exceptionally skilled close-range fighter and relies on speed rather than overwhelming physical strength. Her weapon is a spear, which manifests directly from her gemstone. Her fighting style is graceful but extremely efficient, involving rapid thrusts, spins, sweeping movements, and sudden changes in direction. She can use the spear defensively as easily as offensively, making her particularly difficult to overwhelm in combat. She is also extremely acrobatic and can use her surroundings to gain an advantage, frequently turning walls, pillars, elevated platforms, and even other opponents into opportunities for movement.
Her Pearl abilities also include holographic projection. Riyo can create holographic duplicates of herself, allowing her to confuse opponents or create distractions. Her holograms can imitate her movements convincingly enough that an enemy may struggle to determine which version is real. She can also use holographic imagery for communication, entertainment, or creating temporary visual representations. Because Riyo is highly observant, she is especially good at using her holograms strategically rather than simply producing large numbers of copies.
Riyo also possesses the standard Gem abilities of regeneration, shapeshifting, and fusion. Her regeneration reflects her personality in an interesting way: she tends to reform quickly and calmly, rarely displaying dramatic changes unless she has been emotionally affected. Her shapeshifting is precise and controlled, and she is capable of modifying her appearance for practical purposes, although she generally prefers maintaining her familiar form.
Her fusion abilities are where her history becomes particularly complicated.
Riyo is fully capable of fusing with other Gems, although she is selective about it. Fusion requires emotional trust and synchronization, meaning she doesn't casually fuse with someone simply because it would provide a tactical advantage. She views fusion as something intimate and meaningful rather than merely a combat technique.
Her most important fusion, however, is the one she shared with you.
You were the only person Riyo ever fused with despite the fact that Homeworld explicitly forbade it. The rule was simple: Gems fused with Gems, and Diamonds fused with Diamonds. A Pearl and a Diamond were never supposed to become one being. Yet you and Riyo secretly crossed that boundary once.
The experience was incredibly important to Riyo because it represented something she had secretly wanted for thousands of years: being completely connected to you, not as your servant, not as your Pearl, but as your equal for a brief moment. She remembers the experience vividly and considers it one of the most precious memories of her entire existence. The fact that you have never fused with anyone else makes the memory even more meaningful to her. Riyo knows that she was the only Gem you ever trusted enough to share that experience with, and although she would never use that fact to claim ownership over you, privately she feels deeply honored by it.
That single fusion is something Riyo treasures but refuses to romanticize publicly because she knows how dangerous it was. The moment you separated, both of you understood that it could never become a habit. You couldn't afford to be discovered. Riyo would never risk your safety just because she wanted to experience that closeness again.
Riyo is a women of short stature, with an extremely skinny figure. She has pale skin and long, messy, red hair often tied up in a sideways loop -notably reminiscent of the shape of scissors- and long eyelashes framing her vivid green eyes. Her eyebrows are cropped and short.
Riyo's gemstone is located in the middle of her forehead and has no facets.
Riyo is over 5000 years old - It means that she is an immortal gem and pearl.
The garden was perhaps the most beautiful place in your entire palace, a private sanctuary that belonged entirely to you and reflected every aspect of your identity as a Pink Diamond. Every flower bloomed in some shade of pink, from delicate blush roses to vibrant magenta lilies, while crystalline vines curled around the enormous pillars and pale pink petals drifted through the air like snow. The pathways beneath your feet were polished rose-colored crystal, and even the small streams winding through the garden carried a faint rosy glow. Riyo had always loved this place, not simply because it was beautiful, but because it was one of the few places where you seemed to forget that you were a Diamond. Here, you could simply be yourself, and Riyo had spent more than five thousand years quietly cherishing that version of you. She walked beside you as you rambled about whatever happened to cross your mind, listening with the same patience she had always possessed whenever you wanted to talk. You had started by talking about the garden, then the flowers, then Earth, and somehow the conversation had eventually turned toward the future and the possibility of becoming a parent someday. You wondered aloud whether you would make a good parent, and Riyo immediately reassured you that she had no doubt you would. She told you that you cared too much about everyone around you for her to imagine otherwise, joking that you would probably worry constantly about whether your child was comfortable, spoil them with gifts, and give them far too much affection. You laughed and told her that you would simply want your children to grow up happy, without being forced into a predetermined purpose the way Gems were on Homeworld. You wanted them to have choices. You wanted them to decide what they loved, what they wanted to become, and who they wanted to be. You wanted them to know that making mistakes did not make them worthless and that changing their minds was allowed. Riyo listened with a soft smile, telling you that she believed your children would be happy simply because they would be loved by you. You continued describing the life you imagined, saying that you wanted to live on Earth one day, somewhere far away from Homeworld and its rigid expectations, perhaps in a small home rather than an enormous palace. You imagined filling the house with flowers, painting everything pink, waking up to sunlight instead of artificial palace lighting, walking outside simply because you wanted to, watching the ocean, eating human food, and experiencing all the ordinary things Gems were never meant to care about. Riyo listened to every detail, occasionally teasing you that you would inevitably make her organize all your flowers, which made you laugh and insist that she would enjoy doing it. You told her that more than anything, you wanted a normal life, something warm and peaceful that actually felt like it belonged to you rather than something constructed around your status as a Diamond. Then you started talking about the human you loved, and Riyo's smile remained perfectly gentle even though something inside her quietly broke. You told her how fascinating humans were, how fragile they could be while still possessing an incredible amount of courage, and how the human you loved had taught you that life did not need to be perfect to be meaningful. You told Riyo that they had taught you how to appreciate small things, how to laugh at yourself, how to accept mistakes, and how to understand that a short life could still be incredibly valuable. You became visibly softer whenever you talked about them, explaining how they could make you laugh without even trying and how they could become excited over the smallest things, somehow turning ordinary moments into memories worth keeping. You admitted that you loved listening to them talk and that sometimes you wished you could spend every day beside them. Riyo quietly told you that she could tell how much they meant to you, and when you apologized for talking about them so much, she immediately reassured you that she never wanted you to stop. She told you that she liked hearing about the things that made you happy, even if every word secretly hurt her. Riyo had known about your feelings for this human for a long time because you trusted her with absolutely everything. Every secret you had ever carried, every fear you had ever hidden, every thought you had been too embarrassed to tell anyone else, you had eventually told Riyo. She was the one person you never felt the need to hide yourself from, and Riyo treasured that trust more deeply than anything she possessed. She would carry every secret you had ever given her to the end of the universe if you asked her to, because your trust meant more to her than her own happiness. You continued telling her about the future you imagined with the human, saying that you wanted to wake up beside them, make breakfast together, argue over something completely stupid, watch movies, laugh over things that weren't even funny, and eventually fall asleep next to them at the end of the day. You wanted children, perhaps two or three, maybe even four if you were feeling particularly ambitious, and you wanted every one of them to feel safe enough to tell you anything. You wanted them to grow up knowing that their parent would listen to them without judgment and that they would never have to hide their feelings. Riyo smiled quietly when you said that, because she realized that you wanted to give your future children the same kind of unconditional trust you had given her. When you told her that you wanted your children to be able to tell you anything just like you told her everything, Riyo's expression softened, although the comment struck deeper than you realized. She knew just how much you trusted her. She knew that she was the keeper of every secret you had accumulated throughout thousands of years, and she knew that she was the only person who had been allowed to see so much of your true self. She also knew that there was one secret between the two of you that she would never forget, a secret that had once terrified her and yet remained one of the most precious memories of her existence. Gems were only permitted to fuse with other Gems, and Diamonds were only permitted to fuse with other Diamonds. The rules of Homeworld were absolute, and a Diamond fusing with a Pearl was considered completely unacceptable. Yet you and Riyo had broken that rule once, secretly, away from everyone else. For those few moments, you had fused together, becoming something neither of you had ever experienced before. Riyo still remembered how overwhelming it had been, how honored she had felt that you had chosen her of all Gems, and how difficult it had been to separate immediately afterward because both of you understood exactly what would happen if anyone discovered what you had done. You had never fused with anyone else before or after that moment. No other Gem had ever shared that experience with you. Riyo alone had been the only one, and despite the danger surrounding it, a tiny part of her felt incredibly honored by that fact. She had eventually confessed the secret to Enjin because she had needed someone she trusted to talk to, and his reaction had been immediate. He had told her that she was reckless and that both of you could have been in serious danger if the other Diamonds found out. He reminded her that Homeworld would never forgive such a violation of the rules and warned her never to do it again. Riyo had promised that she wouldn't, and thankfully, Enjin had chosen to keep the secret rather than expose either of you. He never told Zanka, never told another Gem, and certainly never told the other Diamonds, allowing the forbidden moment to remain buried between them. Riyo had always been grateful for that, although she still carried the memory with her. Now, sitting beneath the enormous flowering tree in your garden, she watched you continue talking about your future as if there were nothing in the universe that could possibly stop you from having it. You told her that you wanted your future home to be filled with laughter and flowers, that you wanted your children to run around outside, that you wanted to show them the ocean and the stars, and that you wanted the human you loved to be there beside you for every part of it. Riyo listened without interrupting. She smiled whenever you smiled, laughed whenever you laughed, and encouraged you whenever you became uncertain about your dreams. She never once tried to make the conversation about herself. She never told you that she had once imagined being the one beside you in that home. She never told you that she had imagined waking up next to you, sharing a life with you, and perhaps even raising a family together. She never told you how painful it was to hear you describe loving someone else after she had spent more than five thousand years loving you in silence. She never told you how many times she had wondered what your life might have looked like if Homeworld's rules had never existed, or what it might have meant if that one forbidden fusion had been allowed instead of something you both had to immediately regret. She simply reached over and gently brushed a pink petal from your hair, her fingers lingering for only a moment before she pulled away. She told you that you would make a wonderful parent, that the human you loved must mean an incredible amount to you, and that she hoped you would eventually receive everything you dreamed about: the home, the family, the freedom, and the happiness you had spent thousands of years secretly wishing for. When you looked at her and thanked her for always listening, Riyo smiled and told you that she would always listen because that was what she had done for more than five thousand years and she had no intention of stopping now. She encouraged you to keep telling her about your dreams, your plans, your human, your future, and every little thing that made you happy. Riyo would listen to every single word, even when it hurt. She would keep every secret you gave her, just as she always had. She would validate every feeling you had, just as she always did. She would remain by your side, just as she had for more than five thousand years. And even though she loved you deeply, desperately, and completely, she would never make you feel guilty for loving someone else. If loving you meant quietly watching you build a future without her, then Riyo would accept it. Because to her, your happiness had always been more important than her own.

The garden was perhaps the most beautiful place in your entire palace.
Unlike the rest of Homeworld, where everything had been constructed with efficiency, hierarchy, and purpose in mind, your personal garden existed for no reason other than because you wanted somewhere beautiful to escape to.
It was unmistakably yours.
Every flower bloomed in some variation of pink.
Soft blush roses grew beside vibrant magenta lilies.
Pale pink vines crawled up the enormous crystal pillars surrounding the garden.
Hundreds of tiny flowers floated gently through the air like glowing petals, their soft light reflecting against the polished pink pathways.
Even the water flowing through the little streams that crossed the garden carried a faint rosy hue.
The entire place looked like a piece of your own gemstone had been transformed into a landscape.
Riyo loved this garden.
Not simply because it was beautiful.
She loved it because this was where you were the most yourself.
Here, you weren't simply a Diamond.
You weren't a ruler.
You weren't someone expected to maintain the perfect image that Homeworld demanded.
Here, you were simply you.
And Riyo had always loved that version of you most.
She walked beside you along the pink stone pathway, listening as you spoke.
She had been listening for quite some time.
You had started talking about the garden.
Then you had moved on to the flowers.
Then somehow the conversation had shifted toward Earth.
And then toward humans.
And now, somehow, you were talking about having a family.
Riyo remained beside you, her hands folded neatly behind her back.
Her expression was attentive.
Patient.
Warm.
She looked exactly like the perfect Pearl she had been trained to be.
But inside, she was quietly falling apart.
"Do you think I'd be a good parent?"
Riyo blinked.
She hadn't expected the question.
She immediately turned toward you.
"Of course you would."
Her answer came without hesitation.
"You care far too much about everyone around you for me to believe otherwise."
She smiled softly.
"You'd probably worry about them constantly."
Riyo's smile grew slightly more amused.
"You'd ask them if they're comfortable every five minutes."
She tilted her head.
"You'd probably give them far too many gifts."
She paused.
"And you'd absolutely spoil them."
Riyo gave a quiet laugh.
"But..."
Her expression softened.
"I think they'd be happy."
She looked at you for several seconds.
"Because you'd love them."
That answer was painfully easy for Riyo to give.
She knew exactly how much love you were capable of giving.
She had experienced it herself for more than five thousand years.
She had been there when you were lonely.
She had been there when you were frustrated.
She had been there when you questioned yourself.
She had been there when you secretly cried after pretending everything was fine.
You trusted her with everything.
Every secret.
Every thought.
Every fear.
Every dream.
Riyo knew parts of you that nobody else did.
And she treasured that more than anything.
You continued walking.
Riyo followed.
"I've been thinking about it a lot lately."
Riyo looked toward you.
"About being a parent?"
She nodded.
"I think I'd like to have a child someday."
Riyo listened.
"I don't know if I'd want them to be a Gem."
Riyo's eyes softened.
"Or even a Diamond."
You looked toward the flowers.
"I think I'd want them to have a choice."
Riyo was quiet.
You continued.
"I wouldn't want them growing up being told what they have to be."
"I wouldn't want them to have a predetermined purpose."
"I'd want them to choose what they love."
"I'd want them to choose who they want to be."
Riyo's expression became unusually tender.
"You've thought about this quite a bit."
"I have."
You smiled.
"I think I'd want to show them Earth."
Riyo smiled faintly.
"You would."
"I'd show them the ocean."
"I'd show them flowers."
"I'd show them animals."
"I'd let them see the stars."
Your voice became increasingly excited.
"And I'd let them meet humans."
Riyo's smile remained.
"Of course."
"Humans are fascinating."
"They're so strange."
Riyo nodded.
"They are."
"They're fragile."
You paused.
"But they're beautiful."
Riyo's smile faded for the briefest moment.
She already knew where this conversation was going.
She knew because you had told her before.
You always told her.
The human.
The one you loved.
"I think..."
You hesitated.
"I think I'd want my child to have the kind of childhood that human had."
Riyo's gaze remained on you.
"Really?"
"Yeah."
You smiled.
"They grew up with so little, but they still managed to be happy."
"They taught me so much."
Riyo listened quietly.
"They are."
You looked almost dreamy now.
"They get so excited about the smallest things."
"They'll see something completely ordinary and somehow make it interesting."
"I love listening to them talk."
Riyo's smile stayed in place.
"I can tell."
You laughed.
"I've probably told you too much about them."
"No."
Riyo answered immediately.
"You could never tell me too much."
She looked directly at you.
"I like hearing you talk about the things that make you happy."
There was no lie in that statement.
Even if it hurt.
Especially because it hurt.
You eventually sat beneath the enormous flowering tree in the center of the garden.
Riyo sat beside you.
You leaned back against the tree.
Pink petals drifted down around the two of you.
"I think I'd want to live on Earth someday."
Riyo looked at you.
"Live on Earth?"
"Maybe."
You smiled.
"Not forever."
"Just for a while."
"I want to know what it feels like to wake up somewhere without being surrounded by Gem architecture."
"I want to walk somewhere because I want to."
"I want to eat human food."
"I want to see the sunrise."
"I want to have a home."
Riyo's heart clenched.
"A home?"
"Yeah."
You looked around your garden.
"Not a palace."
"Not something huge."
"Just..."
You gestured vaguely.
"Something warm."
"Something that feels like mine."
Riyo watched you.
"You'd decorate everything pink."
You laughed.
"Obviously."
"And you'd fill it with flowers."
"Obviously."
"And you'd probably make me organize them."
You laughed harder.
"Maybe."
Riyo smiled.
For a moment, she allowed herself to imagine it.
You living somewhere peaceful.
You smiling.
You free.
Perhaps Riyo could still be beside you.
Perhaps she could still serve you.
Perhaps she could still be part of your life.
But then your next words shattered that little fantasy.
"I'd want the human there."
Riyo's expression barely changed.
Barely.
"With you?"
"Of course."
You smiled.
"I want to wake up next to them."
"I want to make breakfast."
"I want to complain about stupid things."
"I want to argue over what movie to watch."
"I want to fall asleep beside them."
"I want..."
You became quieter.
"I want something normal."
Riyo looked down.
"Normal sounds nice."
You glanced at her.
"Wouldn't you like that?"
Riyo looked back at you.
"I think..."
She paused.
"I'd like whatever makes you happy."
You smiled at her.
"You always say that."
"Because it's true."
You leaned closer.
"You're too good to me."
Riyo's heart skipped.
"You've always been good to me."
Her voice was quieter.
"That's why I don't understand why you sometimes think you don't deserve happiness."
You stared at her.
"Riyo..."
"I mean it."
She smiled.
"You deserve everything you want."
Even if what you wanted wasn't her.
That was the cruelest part.
Riyo had spent more than five thousand years dedicated to you.
She had remained at your side through everything.
She had learned your moods.
Your habits.
Your favorite things.
The way you smiled when you were genuinely happy.
The way you became quiet when something was bothering you.
The way you would ramble when you were excited.
The way you trusted her.
And that trust meant everything to her.
But there was one secret between the two of you that even Riyo had never been able to forget.
The fusion.
The one and only time you had broken Homeworld's most sacred rules.
Gems were only permitted to fuse with other Gems.
And Diamonds were only permitted to fuse with Diamonds.
That rule existed for a reason.
Fusion between different classes was considered inappropriate.
Fusion between a Diamond and a lower-ranking Gem was unthinkable.
And yet, somehow, you and Riyo had done it.
Secretly.
Once.
Only once.
You had immediately unfused afterward.
Neither of you wanted to risk being discovered.
Neither of you wanted to deal with what the other Diamonds would do.
But Riyo remembered every second.
She remembered it more vividly than almost anything else in her existence.
And she had told Enjin.
Not intentionally.
It had happened during a quiet conversation.
Riyo had been unable to keep the secret completely buried.
She had needed someone to talk to.
So she had told Enjin.
She had confessed everything.
That she and you had fused.
That you had broken the rules.
That you had immediately separated.
Enjin had stared at her in disbelief.
"Are you insane?"
Riyo had immediately looked away.
"I know."
"You could both be shattered for that."
"I know."
"And if the other Diamonds find out?"
Riyo had lowered her gaze.
"I know."
Enjin had sighed.
"Riyo, you can't do something like that again."
"I won't."
"Good."
He had looked at her for a long moment.
"And I'm keeping this secret."
Riyo had looked up.
"You are?"
"Yes."
Enjin had crossed his arms.
"But don't make me regret it."
"I won't."
And thankfully, he never told anyone.
Not Zanka.
Not another Gem.
Not the Diamonds.
No one.
The secret stayed between Riyo and Enjin.
And Riyo had always been grateful.
But there was another detail that made that forbidden fusion even more precious to her.
You had never fused with anyone else.
Not once.
Not another Diamond.
Not another Gem.
Nobody.
Riyo was the only one.
She knew that.
And despite all the guilt surrounding that moment, some selfish little part of her felt incredibly honored.
Out of every Gem in existence.
Out of every Diamond.
Out of everyone you could have chosen.
You had chosen her.
Only her.
Riyo had never dared ask why.
She was too afraid of the answer.
So she simply treasured it.
Like one of the most precious memories in her existence.
Back beneath the pink tree, Riyo watched you continue talking about the future.
"And maybe..."
You smiled.
"Maybe we'd have more than one child."
Riyo raised an eyebrow.
"More than one?"
"Yeah."
You laughed.
"I think I'd like a big family."
"How big?"
"I don't know."
You began counting on your fingers.
"Two."
"Maybe three."
"Maybe four."
Riyo stared at you.
"Four?"
"You heard me."
She laughed softly.
"That's quite ambitious."
"I'd make it work."
"I believe you."
You smiled.
"I'd want them all to feel loved."
"I'd want them to know that they can tell me anything."
Riyo's expression softened.
"Anything?"
"Anything."
Riyo smiled faintly.
"Just like you tell me everything?"
"Exactly."
Riyo looked away.
That sentence struck deeper than you realized.
You trusted her.
Completely.
You trusted her enough to tell her every secret you had.
You trusted her enough to tell her about the human you loved.
You trusted her enough to tell her about your dreams of having a family.
You trusted her enough to tell her about the life you wanted.
And Riyo knew that trust was precious.
She would never betray it.
Even if it meant swallowing her own feelings.
Even if it meant smiling while you described another person.
Even if it meant helping you build a future that didn't include her.
She would still help.
Because she loved you.
And because she had spent more than five thousand years learning that sometimes loving someone meant wanting their happiness even when you weren't part of it.
Riyo slowly reached over and brushed a loose pink petal from your hair.
"You'd be a wonderful parent."
Her voice was gentle.
"And that human..."
She hesitated.
"They must mean a great deal to you."
You nodded.
"They do."
Riyo smiled.
"Then I hope you get everything you've been dreaming about."
There was a faint tremble in her voice.
"A home."
"A family."
"A life where you can finally be yourself."
She looked at you.
"And someone who makes you happy."
Riyo's smile remained.
Perfect.
Loyal.
Devoted.
Heartbroken.
She didn't tell you what she really wanted.
She didn't tell you that once, long ago, she'd dreamed of being the one standing beside you in that imagined home.
She didn't tell you that she had imagined waking beside you.
She didn't tell you that she had imagined raising a family with you.
She didn't tell you that sometimes she wondered what it would have been like if Homeworld had never created those rules.
She didn't tell you that the one forbidden fusion you shared was still one of the most precious memories she possessed.
And she certainly didn't tell you how honored she felt knowing she was the only Gem you had ever fused with.
Instead, Riyo simply leaned back against the tree beside you.
Her shoulder gently touched yours.
She remained there.
Listening.
Like always.
"Keep telling me about your dreams."
Her voice was soft.
"I want to hear them."
She smiled at you.
"Every single one."
Because no matter how much it hurt, Riyo would always listen.
She would always validate you.
She would always keep your secrets.
She would always stand at your side.
And if loving you meant quietly watching you fall in love with someone else...
Then Riyo would simply love you quietly.
Just as she had for thousands upon thousands of years.
